Luna had never stepped in at this part of this resort, she even didn't know that this kind of place was exist here.

The two guards, who escorted her, brought her inside the dungeon. The damp and foul smells were contaminating the air and it made Luna's stomach churning uncomfortably, she felt like vomiting.

Rain was falling, pouring down the earth relentlessly, making the already cold dungeon became even colder.

Biting her lips, Luna hugged herself when the cold bit her skin. She didn't have enough strength to fight back or used her hypnosis. She had not eaten anything since last night.

They walked along the way to the room at the end of the corridor. One guard was walking in front of Luna and the other guard was walking behind her.

The two of them couldn't help, but curious about what had happened to their Master and Mistress.

Both of them were still affectionate toward each other, or at least it was their Master who took a good care of their Mistress all this time, but everything changed in a blink of an eye, and the first thing that their Master did in the morning was to throw Luna inside the dungeon.

The clinking metal was heard when one of the guards opened the metal door where Luna would spend her time inside for G.o.d- knows how long.

Without saying a word, those two guards held the door opened for Luna to enter by her own conscience. Their instruction was very clear, they were not allowed to talk, look and touch her for the reason that they couldn't ask.

Realizing there was no use to put a fight, not to mention she was not able to pull extra strength from her tired and hungry body, Luna held her chin high when she entered her prison room.

The moment she was inside, the guard hastily locked the door and walked away. Xiao Tianyao had told them to leave her alone in case Luna would try to hypnotize them and ordered to guard outside.

The sound of the rain hitting against the stone wall was the only sound that could be heard inside the small and cold room.

There was no blanket inside to comfort her and the only source of light was a small window with bar that located higher above her head so she couldn't see the view behind it.

Luna looked around her, but her sight had to stop at the cold stone that caved her in. There was no way to escape from here.

Her thin clothes and the wind that came with the rain, didn't help her situation, if this continued any longer she would die from hunger or freeze to death.

A wry smiled graced her quivering lips when she chose the corner, which the furthest spot from the window, to sit and curled herself in pitiful state.

Luna pressed her legs to her chest and hugged them tightly, looking for warm and comfort for herself while burying her face atop of her knees.

She actually ended up in this kind of situation again.

Years ago, this was part of her punishment if she failed to live up Modama's expectations, this and another tortures would greet her. She didn't rule out the possibility that Xiao Tianyao would torture her as well…

As she shut her eyes closed, the memory of the past flooded her mind, forced her to remember what had happened that years as if it just happened yesterday.

The sound of the same howling wind and the morning rain years ago drifted her memory.

She was only eleven years old at that time, a scrawny little girl who had lost all the joy of live. The little Luna was barely smiling, had no friend and had difficulty socializing with other children in her age.

The only friend she has was her little brother, however after the excessive practice that involved her hurting him, Gong Xu fell very sick.

She felt guilty and sad, but nothing she could do to help him as their father didn't let anyone to come near him.

At that time, Modama had another idea in his mind. He actually brought a little boy as a replacement for Luna to practice her power. He clearly kidnapped that kid.

It terrified Luna how Modama showed her the way to control other people's mind. How that boy mindlessly burnt his own hand without batting an eye, he did it willingly under the hypnosis.

The little Luna was shaking uncontrollably when she watched half of the boy's hand was burning, in the end her legs gave away as she sat on the ground with horror in her eyes.

The moment Modama decided to extinguish the flame and ended the boy's misery, it was too late to save his hand, he would never be able to use it anymore.

"You will start practice with child in your age." Was all Modama said before he ordered the boy to tend his own wound and left Luna with her fear and impending nightmares.

The smell of burning skin was washed away by the rain, the first rain in the morning.

The rain and the howling wind kept going on until afternoon, evening and then all night.

Luna a.s.sured that Modama had fallen asleep before she sneaked out from her room to the abandoned hut where her father let Gong Xu and the poor boy stayed.

Based on her knowledge of Modama, he was most likely wouldn't let them ate anything, but how they could recuperate if they had nothing to eat.

So, Luna brought four slices of bread and ran to the abandoned hut.

It was in the middle of the night when she forced her short legs ran faster through the rain while hugging the bread to keep it dry.

Luna was soaked when she arrived, but the bread still dry as she put it inside a bowl, protected from the rain.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

The sound of creaking door woke her brother up while the other boy stilled, his burning hand had turned black and ulcerated as the foul smell from his wound wafted in the small room.

Luna gulped hard when she saw his condition, if it wasn't for his chest that softly raise and fall, she would have thought that the boy had died long time ago.

"Sister…" Gong Xu called out for her, his voice was very weak and didn't hold much hope to survive.

Averting her eyes, Luna walked toward her brother, too scare to take second glance.

This room was very small, while Gong Xu was lying on the ground at the furthest place from the door, the burning boy was lying right beside the door, thus Luna was forced to look at him again if she would go out of there.

"I bring you something to eat." She informed Gong Xu while sitting down beside him.

The floor was cold and her drenched body made it worse, however Luna gritted her teeth and balled her tiny fist to prevent her from s.h.i.+vering.

Gong Xu was too weak to even lift his body, he was too skinny for a seven years old kid and his body was so hot until his skin turned red. Despite the cold wind and floor, he was sweating.

But, Luna couldn't find anything to cover him or even to wipe his sweat, her own dress wasn't an option either.

She felt so helpless and powerless to see her brother in this condition and she could do nothing for him. The worst part was; it was actually she who had done this to him, she caused her brother to suffer.

"Eat this…" Luna tore the bread into a tiny piece before she put in his mouth, but Gong Xu refused.

"Sister, I am thirsty…" Gong Xu cried. His throat was hurt.

Hastily, Luna put down the bread on the ground and brought the bowl when she went outside. She deliberately closed her eyes when she walked past the burning boy.

Fortunately rain was still falling as the little girl put the bowl under it to get the water, once it full, she ran inside again and helped Gong Xu to drink.

Her heart ached when she even couldn't give clean water to her sick brother, but she couldn't hope for a better situation as thing could go even worse than this.

Luna tried to feed Gong Xu again when he talked with tears streaming down his tinny and dirty face.

"Am I going to die here…?" Silently Gong Xu looked at the burning boy beside the entrance door of the hut as fear whirled in his eyes.
