Although he never told this to anyone but when he returned to city D with his broken heart and saw Keith and Ginny relations.h.i.+p hitting a rough patch and he was needed here he rejoiced it a little bit. No, he was not rejoicing their misery, he was rejoicing the feeling that he was at least needed somewhere. Slowly everything started to fell in place and for that Aaron had to work a lot, he stood by Ginny's side all through thick and thin. There was a point when everyone thought that he started to love Ginny but he knew that n.o.body in this world could woke those feelings in him again, not even Ginny, the second woman in his life whom he adored and valued. He was broken beyond repair, he couldn't love anybody. But since he met Hayley he didn't know what happened to him. He wanted to be around her, to listen her talk and most importantly he wants to see her smile, that smile which she showed him when he gifted her that key chain. Although he tried to keep a safe distance from her, he didn't interact with her when she was present there in their gatherings but that didn't stop him from noticing her and being attracted towards her. He could sense that his feelings was not one sided, he could always sense her eyes on him on those gatherings. The way she relied on him when she was sick and the way she stopped frowning when he started to pat her head. But this had to stop, his feelings had to stop, he need to stop this madness this instant. Caleb loves Hayley and he was a better man for her, he was the best that she could get. He didn't had a past with so much pain and he was capable of giving her happiness. He would stay away from her and he would crush all her advances towards him no matter what. She deserves best and that was Caleb for her. In that one hour anger filled run Aaron sealed Hayley's fate.

On the other side of city in Hayley's apartment, Hayley was laughing her head off after seeing Caleb's reaction, totally unaware of the decision Aaron took about their future.
