Chris sneered and said "I am sure you are just trying to pull some tricks. I am not going to fall for your tricks. I already heard everything. I know that you aren't worth even a single penny."

Shriya smirked and Chris continued stubbornly "I know you are just blabbering. You don't have the capability to fire me ?"

Shriya smiled and replied "Try me?" with that she turned towards Naveen and ordered him "Ask the company to demote her under disciplinary action ?"

Naveen nodded and said "Yes madam, right away." He then turned around and asked "Should I inform Boss about it ?".

Shriya sat on the couch in an elegant manner and Gouthami sat beside her and the servant gave her a gla.s.s of milk "Madam, here's your milk" which she took elegantly and sipped leisurely.

Shriya shook her head and said indifferently "It's such an irrelevant matter. Don't disturb him for these trivial matters".

Chris yelled immediately "You are afraid that he will not allow you to do this?" she laughed as if she saw through see her lies.

Shriya was now becoming bored with the game. She couldn't hold back anymore and ordered Naveen "Go bring your boss here. He is in the study and also bring that file in her hands to him. I think she came to give him that".

Naveen nodded and went straight up to the study with the file even though he already knew Abhi was watching all this. Just then Preeti came downstairs and saw all the commotion. She was a bit surprised and halted in her tracks for a moment but she ignored it and went straight to her sister.

The housekeeper Ram came to the little girl and took her to the side. Chris didn't dare to stand up and looked around. No one showed any intention of helping her and instead they were looking at her with disdain.

Abhi came downstairs with Rahul and Naveen following closely behind him. Shriya looked up at him and he went straight to Shriya without glancing a look at the girl on the floor.

He sat beside her in the empty side while Rahul sat next to Gouthami and Naveen stood behind them. Abhi looked at Shriya and asked with a gentle tone "What happened ? You asked for me?". He spoke as if he didn't know anything and completely unaware of what was happening there.

Shriya looked at the girl who was staring at Abhi as if she saw her savior and her eyes full of expectation.

Shriya looked at Rahul first and said with a smile "Rahul, will your send Preeti to school first or are you busy with work?".

Rahul said "I am so sorry Sisla. I still have some work to do but I will ask the driver to drop her off at school".

She nodded and Rahul called the Housekeeper and he himself brought the bag and lunch box for her. Preeti ran into Abhi's arms and he immediately cradled her gently and they all ignored the girl on the floor.

Even servants went back to their work. Preeti looked at Chris with fright in her eyes and Abhi patted her head and said "Go, I will see in the evening. Be a good girl"

She nodded and followed behind the housekeeper. After the girl left Shriya asked Abhi "You know her ?"

Abhi looked at the woman and said " She is my personal secretary".

She raised her eyebrow and he immediately explained "Uday was busy recently so he appointed her recently and I met her only once in our office. Why ?"

Rahul sighed in relief. He was the one who appointed her. If Abhi said the same infront of Gouthami then he would have suffered a great deal. But his brother was so kind that he didn't sell him off.

Shriya looked at the woman and said "I want you to demote her to the lowest level in the company."

He looked at her and nodded almost immediately and she said "Right away" to which Abhi looked at Rahul and said "Do it".

Rahul nodded and the girl was in deep melancholy and asked Abhi "Aren't you going to ask her the reason?"

He looked at Abhi and said "Follow me, we still have work to do". He looked at Shriya kissed her on the forehead and said "You also go or you will be late to you cla.s.s. I will see you in the evening".

With that he left without sparing the girl on the floor any extra glance. Shriya took her bag and walked out elegantly with Naveen following her. Gouthami stood up and walked towards Chris and mocked "So pitiful".

Chris sneered and said "Aren't you two fighting with each other just before I came, but now you teamed up. No values at all".

Gouthami said "Well we might fight among ourselves but if outsiders attack us, we stick together. That's the beauty of family". With that she also left the room leaving Chris all alone in the room.

Shriya sat in the front pa.s.senger seat beside Naveen and sighed in relief talking a deep breathe.
