She looked up at him suspiciously thinking "How did he know ?" and as if understanding the meaning behind her suspicuous gaze and answering her unspoken question he said "It's just that there was an event on the valentine's day. We all students went out to party and I was the one who organized it though it's something out of the campus and of the record."

"I just hoped you tobe there with us all and wanted to invite you and your friends to join and I couldn't even her you on the phone. I heard from your cla.s.smates that your weren't coming to cla.s.ses. You guys disappeared for a whole d.a.m.n week".

She nodded lightly "Yeah, I was on leave". She didn't want to explain further but he didn't seem to leave it like that and asked "Why ?".

She looked at him and said with a grim expression "I don't have the habit of explaining my personal things to others except to my friends and I don't think we are that close friends where I will tell all this and will you please mind your own business please. thank you".

He looked offended by her rash words but said while rising his hands infront of her gesturing her to stop "Aw, I am just asking you out of curiosity and it's nothing personal. Don't be mad."

She felt bad for saying those words right at his face. She knew she lost her temper for a moment and said "Well I had to attend a family function".

He nodded but asked "Your friends ?" and she replied without much thought "They also came".

He said with an awkward tone while scratching his head "I don't mean to be nosy but "Why did they come to your family function and that to for a week".

She said "Well it's a destination wedding and we all went". She was accurate and didn't want to entertain him with the gossip in her life.

He raised his eyebrows with suspicion and she thought to herself "Why am I explaining all this to him anyway".

But she somehow pulled out a fake smile and said "My brother-in-law's marriage took place in Dubai and they all came because we are a kind of family friends".

He nodded and asked "You have a sister ?" and she replied with a nod "Yeah, I have a little sister. She will be twelve this August".

He shook his head in confusion "You said your brother-in-law?".

She understood what he was implying and corrected "I mean my boy friend's brother".

Dhruv's face fell and disappointment was obvious in his face expression but Shriya didn't see that expression of his. She was trying to pack her stuff ready to leave".

She didn't want to talk much about this to him and it was starting to get on her nerves but he asked "Isn't it too early?".

She turned around to look at him and he asked "You said he is your boyfriend and you are already calling his family as your in laws. Isn't too early to call them that?".

Shriya looked into his eyes to see what he was trying to say. But she couldn't get anything from his expression and she asked "Why ? Is there a problem ?".

She stood straight infront of him and he looked at her and gauzing from her expression she looked definitely offended.

So he chose to answer her with right choice of words so that she won't be too offended. He said with a smile "Anything might happen in the future. We can't predict the future which is not in our hands".

She was about to say something when they heard Naveen calling out for her "Shri, let's go. What are you doing here. I have sent a text long back and we have been waiting for you for a while now".
