He turned to look at Catherine only to find her sound asleep, and her fever seemed to have lessened, she now had a layer of sweat over her body. He got up and walked towards her bathroom then brought back a towel which he used to clean her body before walking towards her closet to find something for her to wear.
When he walked into the closet he stood there unmoving for a while, she only had black or white clothes even only black… hmm undergarments. He walked around trying to find something free before he finally chose a baggy short dress s.h.i.+rt for her to wear as he picked up the dress he caught a glimpse of a very eye catching red box with red petals embroidery all round it. Wasn't this the case he put the… as he walked closer towards the box his suspicion only increased.
As he picked up the ring he hesitated before opening it, when he flipped the small red box open.
The item in the box flashed across his eyes. He stared intently at it blinking twice to ensure that he wasn't seeing things. This was happening, this was real. He turned his head looking at the delicate half naked girl on the huge white bed, wondering how she knew…
'They are so far apart how could they possibly know each other, and would she give her this. Do I mean so little to her?' Samuel thought to himself before returning the ring to the mirror and moving back to bed.
He helped her put it on then left the room like nothing happened.
Back at the farm,
Everyone was pretty tired, so they moved into the farm to freshen up. "Wow this house is so homey, it's really modest" Katie said as she walked out the shower.
"Well since it's a farm house it'd be most appropriate for it to be modest." James responded as his hands coiled round her waist pulling her closer to him.
"Well I guess you are right, oh did you hear from Catherine all day?" Katie asked worried about Catherine.
"No, but housekeeper Yen said she was walking in her room all day." James responded.
"Ok then."
"But I still don't feel comfortable not checking in on her all day." James was really worried his sister would work herself to death and she might even secretly take on some of his own duties to a.s.sist him.
"Ok then, we don't have to stay overnight. You know what? Why don't we stay for dinner since the family went through so much trouble to accommodate us and we take some fresh and organic fruits back for her and even some dinner, that's okay right?" Katie said trying to relieve her baby from his worry.
James intently stared at his girl with adoration and love emitting from his eyes, his heart ached for his baby girl she always tried to please everyone.
"Are you sure you wouldn't mind? I don't mind, I'll just call her and…"
"No, we are going back end of discussion." Katie firmly said shutting James up with a kiss.
In the room opposite Katie's and James',
Anna sat in front of the mirror drying her hair, she finally sobered up and was too humiliated to look at Jeremy, and thank G.o.d no one else was around to witness it.
'Dong, dong'
Anna's thoughts were interrupted by the knock on the door; she hurriedly put on her robe and walked towards the door.
After she opened the door she didn't get to see who walked in before her lips were immediately covered by warm and soft lips.
She was about to protest but soon a familiar scent that she loved so much and desperately longed for invaded her senses, she open her dazed eyes and she could definitely confirm that it was Jeremy ad this time he was kissing her. Completely forgetting her decision to move on Anna draped her arms over his shoulder leaning into his kiss.
Jeremy stood outside Anna's door for a while hesitating whether to go in or not, he wanted to kiss her earlier but he also didn't want to bring an innocent girl like Anna into the world of the rich it was too toxic for her. But finally his restraint broke when an image of her beautiful smile flashed across his mind, he immediately knocked on the door and decisively kissed her.
