"What...?" Adamar looked around for answers, when he felt the mood change in the room.

"I have met with Lord Elre...and unfortunately, the day after we arrived, he disappeared. We don't know where he is at the moment."

"How can that be!? We were supposed to meet him before heading out to search the area...!" Adamar's career was riding on this meeting. He wanted to be the one to find the tree for the King. How could he allow his glorious return to the capital fade before his eyes.

Grasping at straws, he rushed to Prince Ailwin's side, "Did he leave anything for me!? Anything at all?" Adamar was desparately clinging onto Ailwin's arm, in hope that he could still find something that would lead him towards the tree.

"Well, he did give leave something behind…" Ruven stated, bring everyone's eyes to him.

Thinking this would be the best time to take the tablet from Ailwin's hands Ruven continued to talk.

"Prince Ailwin...remember, Lord Elre did give you something."

Ailwin stopped what he wanted to say to Adamar and raised his eyebrow Ruven's way.

"The tablet....Lord Elre pa.s.sed a tablet on to you." Ruven spoke as if he was refres.h.i.+ng Ailwin's memory just in case he actually forgot about the item.

"I know what you are talking about, but I highly doubt any of the information that is on the tablet can be of use to finding Queen a.n.a.lise's tree."

"...but you never know, there might be…" 

"I doubt it."

"You should still let them see it…one never knows...."

Ailwin and Ruven went back and forth, making the room feel more uncomfortable with every pa.s.sing minute. They were obviously s.h.i.+rting around each other, seeing which one will drop their act first.

"Prince Ailwin." Mika called out when she was finally been able to soothe Drago's worries and a.s.sure him that no one will find the temple.

"Uh...yes?" Turning his head in response to someone calling his name, he saw Mika tapping her foot on the office floor, impatiently.

"We were on our way somewhere..." 

Recalling Braeden's condition, Ailwin realize that there will be time later to play spy games with Ruven. For now, he needed to get Mika and Kaze to the healer's center to help with a treatment plan for the infected soldiers.

"Right," Looking back at Adamar, he pulled out the tablet from his chest pocket and handed it to him. "Look over the information and see if there is anything useful for you in there." 

Ruven heart jump at seeing the tablet again. He ever thought the Lord Elre would secure information away as insurance against them.

After working with us for so long, the b.a.s.t.a.r.d had the audacity to do something sneaky like this! I wish I could kill him a second time for making my job harder! 

Now that the tablet was out of Prince Ailwin's hands, he needed to get it back.

There was only three things I needed to complete before he can leave this G.o.ds forsaken city. One is, getting that tablet back and the other two will be done soon.

Ailwin walked Mika's group out of the office after leaving parting words for Adamar.

"Your group didn't listen before, so I will make myself clear now. You are NOT to leave this room without my strict permission. Is this understood?"

"Yes." Adamar had no more drive to make trouble for the Prince. He and the people beside him had lost there purpose for being here if they couldn't find anything on this tablet.

"Good." Once he left the room, he called for two of his soldiers to guard the room and to make sure they don't leave.

"Let's go." Ailwin said to Mika once everything was handle.

"En."

"...Ruven, why don't you come too." Ailwin dragged Ruven into the group heading towards the healer's center.

"Sir…?" 

"You have nothing else to do, right?.... Now that the Governor is gone. Why don't you make yourself useful by my side." 

"...sure." I can always get the tablet later from those kiddies hands.

No longer sour at Mika's insults, Ruven followed the group to the temporary healing center.

Just as the party was about to reach the doors of the center, they heard a crash and screaming coming from inside.

Fearing something happening to Braeden, Ailwin ran the extra few feet to reach the room. Everyone else followed closely behind while Mika hung back to watch Ruven.

"Shouldn't you be running inside like the rest of them." He pointed to her missing group members.

"Who are you? Why don't you take that d.a.m.n mask off your face!?" Ruven almost couldn't contain his urge to rip the mask off.

"Oh, come now..... I'm not the only one here wearing a mask..." With that parting remark, Mika walked into the noisy room, leaving Ruven behind.
