Honey : The Empire's Treasure 342 Prey Vs. Predator?

As Ailwin was finis.h.i.+ng the interrogation of the seven advisors, Mika was standing front of the Bizana clan residence.

"...umm, this looks familiar." Spinning three hundred and sixty degrees, Mika surveyed her surroundings.

"d.a.m.n, no rovers...my feet are going to be barking by the time I make it back to everyone."

"Heh...it's funny how you think you'll still be alive by the end of the day." Ruven's voice sounded from above her head.

Looking up, she spotted him relaxing on the rooftop of one of the buildings in the residence's buildings.

"Ah, Advisor Ruven...let me guess, your the reason I'm her?"

*clap* *clap* *clap*

"Right you are!" Standing up, he held out his hand and spun in a circle, "How do you like this place? I picked it out just for your death."

Mika glanced around, "Not my style. I'm more of an environmentalist. Too much counterfeit opulence for me, but it certainly it's seems perfect for you." She smirked, as she gave him a thumbs up.

Ruven couldn't explain why the words that come out of her mouth irked him so much. The tolerance level that he pride himself on, was. .h.i.tting it's all time low. All the smart retorts he would throw her way, would come right back to smack him in the face.

"h.e.l.lo?!..."  Mika shouted when he stopped talking, "Do you need more time for your brain to catch up?" 

Again, Ruven felt his blood pressure raising the more he kept talking to this brat.

"I knew you didn't have much up here," Mika pointed to her head, "...but I never thought you couldn't even keep up with a two person conversation. Especially, one you're a part of...heh."

Finally at his breaking point, Ruven began to laugh.

"Hahah ah hahah…."

Oh no, he's doing the crazy laugh thing. That's never good. Mika thought as she watched his face go red and his hair become disheveled from running his hands through it.

When he calm down enough, he looked at Mika and scowled.

"Enough, talking…"

"I stopped talking when you did the insane villain laughing." She muttered.

"….today, I will watch as you beg for mercy." Ruven raised his hand, the next thing Mika saw was dust flying up into the air as a huge black monster plop down on the ground.

The first thing that ran through Mika's mind was, Ailwin's recording doesn't do the thing justice; and the second thing that ran through her mind was, maybe I should have left General Gilwenys to become this hideous thing, then I'll have a reason to beat him up again. 

Ruven had thought her silence as she stared at the monster was her being terrified. 

Enjoying himself immensely, he didn't want her fear to end the entertainment too quickly, so he gave her some advice.

"You should start running, though I highly doubt you'll be able to out run it. It's best if you at least get a head start...! Hahah."

When the monster realized that there was tasty morsel being served up on a platter, it let out a roar and started charging Mikaela's way.

*Screeeeeeeech!*

The piercing scream almost made her ears bleed. It was unlike anything she has ever heard before.

Sh*t, I knew I should have invented headphones.

Mika glanced at Ruven as he laughed and encouraged the monster to tear her apart from his position on top of a roof.

Noticing her stare, Ruven grinned widely with his pearly white teeth showing.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure to your head remains intact even if nothing else does. I still want to see what you look like under that mask….by the way you should really start running."

Mika looked back at the creature to see that it was a quater of the way to her.

F**k! I hate running!

After a quick glance to the left and then the right, Mika figured her best option was to run towards Ruven.

Seeing its food trying to run away, the monster picked up its pace.

"Do you think by bringing it over here is going to make me its target…!" 

Mika smiled when she reached the building where Ruven was standing on its roof.

"Yes...I do think so." Looking at the pipes lining the walls and the jutting bricks, she planned out her route as she began to climb.

"Stupid, how do you think I got us all here in the first place? I can just teleport myself to a different location." 

With the monster only ten meters away, Mika quickly scaled the rest of the way to reach the roof's landing.

"Wow! Impressive. Who knew someone like could do such a feat….Unfortunately, it was a waste of time."

*Screeeeeech!*

The monster roared out its frustrations at Mika, who was now above its head.

Digging its claws into the building's walls, it began to climb.

"You know...*pant*...your biggest mistake was teleporting that thing here." Mika spoke as she smiled down at the monster not twenty meters from her. 

It was about half the size of the one that chased Ailwin and Braeden around the city. If he had summoned the same one here, she wouldn't had even made it to this building before it gobbled her up.

"Nope, this was the best way to make you suffer."

"We'll see."
