Chapter 477 Quite satisfied
Mo Yichen was still fatigued. He didn't rest well on the couch. Besides, he came back late last night, so he didn't sleep too much. Now that Gu Yan said so, he would have a rest.
“Well, just call me if you need any help.” After saying that, Mo Yichen stepped into the bedroom tiredly and fell asleep immediately.
Gu Yan had a great talent in design, so the client was quite satisfied with her proposed design and they came to an agreement as a result. The rest things she needed to do were to finish the design renderings and give them to the client as soon as possible.
The studio under the attention of Mo Yichen was completely decorated and was about to be open for business.
After this period of time, Mo Yichen finally got the free time, so he returned to the company more frequently. Seeing Mo Yichen's renewed attention to the company's affairs, Li Yunhong felt more relieved.
Since taking the design case, Gu Yan had been in a high-intensity work every day and often worked late into night, without eating meals on time.
Mo Yichen understood that. After all, it was the first design case after Gu Yan's studio reopened. She wanted to take this opportunity to make her studio known by all, so that in the future, the reputation of the studio would get better and better.
After Gu Yan and Jiang Jingcheng had been busy together for a week, the first design case of the studio finally came out.
“Please take a look. These are the final designs.” Gu Yan held a huge pile of drawings and solemnly handed them to the middle-aged man in front of her.
In a tidy meeting room, Gu Yan and several employees sat on one side, while on the other side was a middle-aged man and two young men who seemed to be his subordinates.
The strong man with a pair of gla.s.ses whose expression couldn't be seen seemed to be very picky.
Gu Yan handed the drawings to him nervously.
The man showed little expression when he took it. His expression under the gla.s.ses was unpredictable, and no one knew what he was thinking about. The atmosphere in the conference room became more tense.
“Do you think the designs can be accepted?” An employee next to Gu Yan pulled out his mobile phone covertly and sent a message to another employee, who had a good relations.h.i.+p with him.
“I don't know. But we took a whole week to make it. If that can't be accepted, there's really no other way.” This employee seemed to have a feeling of helplessness.
He was not pretty confident about the studio. Although the studio was just established, Gu Yan had recruited many kinds of employees. Some were experienced designers who had worked for several years.
Some just graduated from college and had no experience at all.
It was not because Gu Yan's studio needed labor force so urgently, but because she wanted a studio full of youthful spirit. Therefore, fresh blood was necessary.
But on the other hand, these employees were just newcomers in the sector and lacked relative knowledge.
They would definitely have such questions.
They didn't understand why the studio was willing to spend a whole week on this project, and why Gu Yan was willing to spend so much effort on this.
And now, the value of old employees was suddenly revealed.
These employees were employed through Gu Yan's social network and headhunting companies. Although they weren't hired for a long time, they all had a lot of experience and friends in the designing sector.
Gu Yan did take a tremendous amount of effort to hire them.
These employees really made big contribution in operating the studio. They could also blend into with the colleagues more quickly and create a greater atmosphere in the studio.
What's more, these young employees could learn from them and become more experienced.
One old employee explained,
“This is one of the most demanding companies in the industries and is very difficult to cooperate with.”
“Really?” The new employee seemed to be a bit scared.
“Yes. This company not only puts forward many unreasonable demands but also finds quarrel in a straw. Basically, the draft designs are required to be modified five times at least. It is said that the highest is fifteen times.”
“What?”
The new employee watched the middle-aged man in front of him, and only wanted to turn tail and ran. What a stressful job! He didn't understand why Ms. Gu was willing to accept the case knowing she would be under great pressure.
The old employee seemed to perceive his doubt and confusion. “Because Ms. Gu wants to try a risky road.” He explained proudly,
“As you know, our studio has just been set up. There are more than a hundred of studios like ours are set up every year and most of them are closed down due to poor management.”
The new employee was scared by the intense compet.i.tion at once. He had never heard that when he was in the college.
“Well, but you can be more confident because our studio ranks high in terms of standard or scale.” The old employee felt that the new comer was scared by his words and immediately comforted him.
After all, it would be inappropriate to scare this new employee away.
“But you still didn't tell us why Ms. Gu chose this company.” The new employee didn't have any thoughts about what he said just now. Now he was only curious why Ms. Gu had chosen this company.
“Didn't I just say that Ms. Gu is going to take a risky move.”
The old employee sent messages happily and seemed to feel that something was wrong suddenly. He looked up and sensed the complete silence in the conference room except for the noise which the middle-aged man made when he flipped through the drawings. No one noticed him.
He continued to text the new employees.
“Although we can be confident about our capabilities, we still lack an essential thing for a newly established studio.”
“Reputation?” The new employee answered, which surprised the old employee. But after all, he was selected by Gu Yan personally, so it was normal to have such a vision.
“Exactly. People now value reputation the most. No customers would choose you if you had a slight flaw in reputation.”
“So Mr. Gu wants to build up our reputation? There are so many ways to do it, but why did she choose this company?”
It was exactly what the newcomer was wondering.
“It is because of the huge benefits of cooperating with it.” The old employee said with admiration.
The newcomer was curious, “What were the benefits?” He sent several anxious emojis in a row as the old employee didn't answer directly.
