"I should be the one asking you why are you here Hailey?"

"I came to see Valerian."

"Is that so?"

"Yes."

"Well, he is busy as you can tell."

"Actually I can't Charlize because you are blocking my way."

"Well, I see you are still slow Hailey, if you can't take a hint, then I WILL SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU."

"Please do."

"Seriously?"

"Yes, seriously I have all the time in the world."

"Obviously, since you do nothing with your life." Charlize retorted.

"Same goes for you Charlize that's why you are also here."

"Don't test me, Hailey."

"Or else what? So if you are done wasting my valuable time I will presume what I was doing."

"Can't you get the message, Hailey? You are not wanted here!"

"By whom? You? I am not here to see you Charlize. I am here to see Valerian."

"What if he doesn't want to see you?"

"Let's not be silly now Charlize, I know he wants to see me."

"How are you so sure?"

"Do you know why Valerian came here?"

Charlize c.o.c.ked her head to the side, "He is on holiday."

"Wrong, he tracked me down here. He is here because of me. Because he wants to see me."

"Lies."

"Let's ask him then Charlize."

"No, you are not going anywhere near him."

"Says who?"

"Says I."

"Move Charlize whilst I am asking nicely."

"What are you going to do Hailey?"

Hailey sighed and turned away. Then she turned back, "You know what.."

She went and grabbed a handful of Charlize's hair and started yanking it, "Let go of me, Hailey." Charlize screamed as she reached out and grabbed some of Hailey's hair.

"Let me go Charlize."

"You first, you wench."

They turned in circles, screaming.

Both of them got pulled apart, "What are you two doing?" Valerian said, looking at them in confusion.

"This maniac attacked me she pulled my hair first. I was only trying to defend myself." said Charlize, "ask her."

"Is it true Hailey, I know that you are not all innocent Charl...."

"It is true, I did attack her first, but the one thing I am not doing is this again."

Valerian took a step toward, "Don't, what's the matter."

"I came to see you Valerian and all I met was the past. I am not doing this again. I have moved on, I can't be followed by your baggage everywhere I go or where you go."

"Exactly, Valerian and I are meant to be." Charlie chimed in.

"Charlize leave us, I want to talk to Hailey alone."

"But...."

"Alone."

With that, Charlize turned and stomped into the house

"Hailey it is not...."

"It is not what Valerian. After all these years you can't be making up excuses for your ex. Can't you see, Charlize is part of you and always will be."

"That's not true and you know it. She came here without..."

"I know, I have heard it all before, she came here without my knowledge. The only reason why this keeps happening is that you allow it to happen.

"Hailey I promise you, we have done nothing."

"Does it matter?"

"I should be the one asking you that Hailey."

"Don't turn this around on me Valerian."

"I actually can, how do you think I felt when you went out with Alex?"

Hailey looked down, then she looked back up again, "So is this your revenge?"

"No, it isn't Hailey."

"I wanted to explain to you why I left like that so we would have no regrets."

"Then tell me why you left Hailey."

"The answer is right here."

"Charlize."

"Yes, Valerian she is part of it. And as long as she is here, nothing will ever change. And you might not want to admit it to yourself that you're attached to her."

"I am not attached to her..."

"Yes you are Valerian, she is part of a past that you can't get rid of and nor you want to get rid of. You just have to admit it to yourself."

"That's not true. I am here for you Hailey."

"They way Charlize just walked into the house seems as if she belongs there."

"No, she doesn't."

"Yes she does, and no matter what I do, I will always feel as if she is waiting to replace me."

"I'm not going to lie, I was glad that you found Charlize here and got jealous. Which means you still feel something for me, even though you are not sure what it is."

"You are right, I did. Now that I see what's going on, I don't have a reason to be."

"So you are going to run away from us?"

"I am not running away Valerian, I am waking up and smelling the roses."

"No you were looking for an excuse and now that you have found one, you will go on your merry way acting as if nothing matters."

"What more do you want from me, Valerian? To humiliate myself?"

"I never asked that of you."

"I know that you haven't but seeing Charlize here, is a slap in the face and it is embarra.s.sing."

"How do you think I felt when I saw you with Alex?"

"I know, now that I see where we stand I can live without any regrets, with someone who wants me only."
