Liena stared at the Bell eyes full of disbelieve. Again, she shook the Bell still it didn't make any noise. She shook over and over again. But the results remain the same.

'Seriously! What the h.e.l.l is going on?'

When she was young, she met a fortune teller, who claimed to be an Oracle and gave her a bell to be used in a time of need. Although she never believed him but couldn't find a reason to toss it because it would be a waste of such a gorgeous bell.

On a small sky blue translucent bell, two golden phoenixes were encircling each other in a fiery dance, gems were encrusted into the scene, highlighting their dance, making it all the more striking!

On closer examination, one would notice the encrusted gems were composed of rubies, emeralds, turquoise, pearls, and agates.

Yet standing out even among the radiant and majestic scene, the most captivating parts were their s.h.i.+ning diamond eyes glittering in the sunlight, one sapphire blue, the other emerald green.

Though the bell was remarkable, Princess didn't accept because she was impressed with it, but that it was a gift from her savior. So she didn't want to be rude by returning his gift.

She was a princess, so she couldn't be inconsiderable to commoners. Afterward, it became her habit as she always kept it in her sleeves. Sometimes, she also wondered why she was carrying it with her all the time.

But now, she was furious as she realized her idiocy. She never imagined that she'd subconsciously believe in the bell, that it would protect her, which was why she took the risk of ordering her bodyguards to leave her alone in this unknown city.

'd.a.m.n it! I am such a fool. Believing a random stranger's nonsense is the biggest joke in my life. If I keep acting idiotic, this kingdom will perish for sure. And the main villain will no one but me for its demise.'

Liena's body was trembling in fear, her heart was pounding so fast it could burst at any moment. She was panicking, she wanted to cry out but decided against it because it would be a disgrace. Moreover, if people discovered that she was lost and was the princess of the kingdom, she didn't know what would happen.

She was angry, frustrated, anxious as well as helpless because not only was she unable to help Nuwa, but she got herself lost in an unknown city.

She suddenly hurled the bell to the lake in fury. There were some egrets, resting and catching fish, so when she threw the Bell in the lake, they fled in different directions.

When Liena was immersed in her problems, Nuwa, on the other hand, was surrounded by the young master's lackeys. They were feeling dejected because of her heedless behaviors. They couldn't tolerate her, acting so full of herself, as if they were nonexistent. So they became increasingly insulting as they came close to her and started to berate her.

"Beggar girl, how dare you do not accept our young master's grace?" said one of the girls, then the other one continued,

"Do you think everyone is that lucky?"

Nuwa didn't even give them a single glance. Even so, they still continued,

"Hey stinky, I bet not even the dogs would come near you, you think being all by yourself makes you cool?"

"Our young master here has a large manor and all the food that you could eat, so hurry up and follow us", they demanded.

"Forget about it... Hehehe… She's already in such a condition, eating dog food."

"Who knows, what if she stole it from the shop? We should inform the shopkeeper to hand her to guards."

Hearing them, Nuwa choked her food at throat as she started to cough violently.

The lackeys stopped their insults for a couple of seconds. Even the young master, who had been throwing a ma.s.sive tantrum had stopped.

He gazed at Nuwa with pity, but no-one could see such eyes as everyone was focusing on Nuwa coughing.

The people around her thought that their methods were finally working as they nodded at each other in satisfaction while giving a mischievous smile.

The two little girls, who were the ones throwing most of the insults, started to laugh!

"Who do you think you are?!? Just because our young master Qiang wanted to help you, you are flying in cloud, huh? Shameless girl, you need a spanking. Trying to act high and mighty. Harumph!"

The girls were getting even more upset as Nuwa still didn't glance at them.

"Hahahahaha...! Look, the dog is broken, I think that she is quite lucky to be taken a liking by the young master! She is just a b.i.t.c.h that wants to play hard to get! Just look at the way she coughed, it must be because she really did steal the food!"

Zi Yun, One of the two girls who was wearing a yellow robe, spoke up. She seemed to have a mocking grin on her face.

Both of the two girls had been competing despite the fact that they were cousins, as both of them wanted to catch the attention of the young master. Even becoming a mere concubine of his was more than an honor for their families.

He came from one of the most powerful and prestigious families in the Lin Kingdom and was known to be quite the genius in martial arts as well as extremely intelligent. Since he was a child of unlimited potential ALL of the families wanted to forge strong ties with him and his family through marriage.

Because the Kingdom had no prince, He, as the only son of the Prime minister was the closest thing to a prince charming.

Even without their parents urging, all the girls wanted his eyes on them.

The young master was actually one of the most promising and handsome men in the kingdom.

Even at the tender age of fifteen, he already had great accomplishments in the military, having partic.i.p.ated in many frontline battles and gaining generous rewards and honor for himself. Even if he couldn't follow his father's steps as Prime minister, he had a guaranteed career in the military.

'Calm down, calm down. You can't reply them back. Or they will use this excuse to turn you into that tyrant's maid.'

Nuwa was convincing herself while she was tightly clutching her bread. She really wanted to strangle them. She knew, even a slight change of her facial expression could turn-on those so-called rich-hypocrites. She didn't want to argue with them and ruined her day. Besides she knew, it'd satisfy them as they were looking for excuses. So she was trying to remain silent as if she was ignorant of her surroundings behaviors.

"I say, everyone knows about your origins, fleeing from another country and coming here to beg, do you want to curse our country too?"

"Yeah that's right, we all know you're a curse, don't think you can hide your eyes by not looking at us, you cursed child!"

Nuwa wasn't bothered before, but now they have truly done it, how dare they?

She suddenly stood up and walked the girls and slapped Zi Yun across the face twice.

"Stop lying! I'm not a cursed child."

She shouted while staring furiously at every single one of them.
