The two guards led us past twisted alleyways, heaps of dead bodies, broken families and all manner of desolation, dirt and pain. It was like the first time I woke up in the pit, but only this time it was much more worse than before, to a certain extent at least. This boss had neglected his people, and he preyed on them in the process also, completely unbridled and unshaken by his sinister acts.

The guards led me and Soren to the tower we had seen from outside the city. The building was only about fourteen or so floors tall, but it had ma.s.sive metal spikes growing out of it's sides, and quite a significant amount of corpses were hanging from it. The stench around the tower was a million times much worse that of the streets, and in the skies above it, flies the size of my head flew about with an incessant buzzing which p.i.s.sed me off.

We went into the building, following the guards and ignoring the other soldiers, maids and every other desolate looking demon as they were led somewhere else in chains. Each and every single one of them had their eyes on me, they stared with wonder and from quite a few of them, with hope. There was some serious s.h.i.+t going on here, and these people expect me to get to the bottom of it, and free them from it.

We went past a service elevator and took a side door that led to the stairway, this part of the building seems to have been destroyed before, so the walls around it was made from a patch of metals hanging off each other or in some places melded together. Parts of the wall of the stairway, stretching from the bas.e.m.e.nt all the way to the top floor had all these metal parts added to it, to. Protect from the onslaught of the elements, it was completely garish and totally ugly.

We spent quite a significant amount of time on that stairway as we marched our way up. The guards seemed to want to slow down, so that I could keep up with them, but this wasn't something that was required, but I didn't say anything else. Though Soren on the other hand was on the brink of taking action, though I'm nit sure which kind.

Soren was a gentle soul most of the time, but once he was in place that was hostile; his nerves would be on edge. But it was a little bit difficult for him, seeing as the stairway was a little narrow without much room for movement. For people who were familiar with it, this could be the perfect spot for an ambush.

Though to be honest I don't think Soren was being so fidgety because of an impending ambush. The simple answer to the matter lay in the fact that he was not very fond of tight s.p.a.ces, and was feeling a little bit claustrophobic. But he was holding on nicely, which was good, and he did so until eventually the stair way came to an end, and a weird one at that.

With how abrupt the end was, it made me realize that once upon a time this building had more than 14 floors. But this was completely inconsequential to my mission, so I followed to the two guards through the now open door, with Soren following behind me. We came out into a grand dinning hall, with a modified conference table that had been turned into a dinning table and heaped with the guts and organs of very dead things or people.

The table had see better days, as certain parts of it was chipped away and replaced by metal, creating an unsightly combination of wood and metal that was stained with dried blood and desiccated pieces of flesh and skin, some of them even rotting. This place reeked like nothing I've ever experienced.

The demon at the head of the table was fat….though calling him fat would be an insult to fat people within the seven layer universe. He was obese, blobby, almost two meters wide, and filled with so much fat that as he ravenously ate the guts on the table, slurping at intestines like it was mere noodles, his entire body jiggled. But his fatness was not the only peculiar thing about him.

He was black, and not black like I was with my unblemished chocolate skin, but black as in the color itself. Like charcoal and dark closet on a moonless night without any source of light. He pointed his beefy hands at me, and suddenly the chair at the other end of the table moved aside a bit for me to sit on. I raised an eyebrow at the powerful display of telekinesis, but I kept my guard up and sat down, with Soren keeping a watchful eye beside me.

(I welcome you to my abode stranger, but why are you causing problems for me.)

I was so startled by the voice in my head that I almost overturned the fifteen meter long dining table in my panic and haste. But the b.l.o.o.d.y boss did not stop easting, this time sucking the marrow out the bones of what seems to be a child, I really couldn't tell with these demonic vampires, size does not seems to be a proper measurement for age anymore.

He was not just telekinetic, he was telepathic. Making him the second person I've seen with such an ability after Gus. And because I knew how dangerous Gus was, even as a twelve year old who has not had enough time and experience with his abilities. But this monster sitting opposite me was without a doubt hundreds, And if not thousands of years old, which means he has had enough time to train those abilities to a level that would make most men quake in their boots, myself included. I had to be prepared and make sure that no matter what, I make the first strike.

"Well thanks for the warm welcome, but I have to say your city sucks and your const.i.tution sucks even more."

(We all can't be perfect rulers, besides all these people should be glad that I even let them live in my zone, because in the end all they are is cattle, food for my table and sustenance for my belly. Why don't have a bite, the thigh in front of you is from a virgin, tender, smooth and soft. It will go down well with that fresh blood from a 3 hour old baby. This is a feast that even kings would kill for.)

I couldn't keep the look of disgust off my face, but disgust was not the only thing I was dealing with as I felt really revolted and had to fight the urge to vomit every five seconds. This guy, other thing was sick to the core, and it was a freaking cannibal, a wild monster that needed to be put down.

(You don't seem to approve of my words or my methods. Your desire to kill me can be felt allover the room. Do not do something you might regret stranger.)

"I don't just have a desire to kill you, I know I'm going to kill you. I wholeheartedly believe in second chances, but you're a stain and a blight that can't be allowed to live, or else you would cause more death and destruction. You would eat your way through the city until there's no one left to snack on, and then you'll start eating yourself too."

(Hahahaha and how would you make that happen? I've seen the look on your face, my power terrifies you. And even though I can not read your mind, your thoughts are very transparent, you fear what I'm capable of, I doubt you would be able to even scratch me.)

He was quite perceptive, but at the same time weaker than I thought. Telepathy had two forms, the projection form and the receiver form. Based on their names alone, their abilities can be deduced. The projection form would allow someone to send out their thoughts and even influence a certain target. But it seems blubber face here was just a projector and not a receiver, which means he's incapable of reading my thoughts. But since telepathy tends to make people really perceptive, he was able to notice my s.h.i.+ft and change of emotions. But that was okay, I had no intentions of hiding it in the first place.

"Since I've been here, everything you done has been a show of power. That's an incredibly stupid thing to do, but I don't blame you. That's stupid you demonic vampires are. You think all your enemies are inferior to you, so you show off to scare them away. Most of the bosses today had done just that, two ran away. Of the two that ran only one escaped, the rest died, apart from the third zone bosses who swore fealty to me. From the moment I walked into this city, I've already been showing off, but you just chose to ignore the truth in front of you because of your hubris and sense of superiority. But since you're so adamant for a show of power, why don't I give you a show you won't forget, because quite frankly it's the last thing you'll ever see."

[BREAK]

A loud crack was heard, as the table was split into multiple tiny pieces, the gory banquet on it flew into the air and scattered allover the room. But the zone boss did not stop eating, in fact the table seems to be what was holding him up, and as it disintegrated, he fell to the ground with the rest of the food, still eating and crawling around to capture the pieces he couldn't reach.

But the sight of this monster being incapable of stopping himself from eating was not the only thing that made me loose my lunch. There was an enormous pile of s.h.i.+t behind him, and as he kept eaten, more of that s.h.i.+t was being discharged from his humongous a.s.s. But it didn't end there, the flies I had seen outside this building, the ones as big as a head, were all being born from his b.l.o.o.d.y huge pile of p.o.o.p.

(How dare you! DIE!!!!)

*Clang!* *Shreiiiiiiik!* *Bang!*

The joys of being a vampire, especially one as strong as me was pretty awesome. Even before he had finished yelling die out in my mind, I already noticed the change within my surroundings, giving me time to lean my chair backwards having it balance on it's two back legs as an enormous metal spike slammed into the position I once occupied. The b.l.o.o.d.y fool in front of me had been too eye catching for me to notice that this entire room was not made from concrete, rather it was made from metal. Metal that apparently this freak of nature could control.

He sent another spike from the side of the room, which I dodge by jumping up, while the chair underneath me was completely pulverized. I had to a.n.a.lyze this b.l.o.o.d.y thing and his abilities. He was telekinetic and telepathic, could control metal, and could sp.a.w.n flies from his own s.h.i.+t (if that can be counted.) It would be hypocritical for me to say this, but honestly that was too much abilities for one person, it didn't make sense.

*Krriiiiiinnnnnnggggg!*

Four metal spikes came at me from four directions, but a quick s.h.i.+eld up stopped them in their tracks. But that did not seem to be the end of his attack as more and more metal spikes kept on attacking me, slamming into the s.h.i.+eld as they changed their shapes from pointed spikes to blunt battering rams. But whatever this metal was, it was not made of soul energy, so there was no way they could break through my s.h.i.+eld.

*Buzzzzzzzz* "What the h.e.l.l?* *Bang!*

I was slammed against the wall of my own s.h.i.+eld, the explosion that just occurred being powerful enough to ruin my sense of balance. But considering I was floating a few feet in the air, I'm not sure there was much balance. But at the very least I know knew what the flies were for, they're freaking grenades. But there was no danger from them, only that I would be left with a little headache once this was over.

I could have attacked him, but what I was seeing below me was a little fascinating and disturbing. He had not used his telekinetic ability yet, but that was to be expected seeing as he was using it to drag the scattered remnants of food into his mouth. However he was rapidly running out of food, and his attacks had caused the only entrance to this place to become collapsed, seeing as that particular entryway was made of concrete.

I could sense people with blood and the dead on the other side of the collapse, and he was about to clear the way for them so that they could come in. There was no way I would allow that as those people coming in here would put them in danger, so I weaved s.h.i.+eld all over the room itself, even the floors, isolating us from the rest of the world.

(What are you doing! What ARE YOU DOING! Let them IN! LET THEM IN! please I'm hungry, I'm so HUNGRY ARGHHHHHH! I'LL EAT YOU!)

He had now lost whatever calm he had when he was eating, the look on his face right now was even more monstrous as his jaw stretched to unholy proportions. This was the stuff of nightmares, and I'm sure I would be having a good night's sleep for the next few days. So the good news is, he finally finished eating everything in sight, and the bad news is....that I'm now on the menu.
