Kael Cor: A Vampire's Awakening Chapter 334 Spero: We're Stronger Than The Darkness

Today was the day, well at the very least it was a day. I've been out for three whole days, and in that time things had progressed just as normal. It left me feeling really happy, because it meant that everything I've been putting in place actually worked the way I wanted it to. This city can function just as well even in my absence, now I can leave with a steady mind that things won't go wrong.

Today three battles.h.i.+ps would be leaving the realm, one of the battles.h.i.+p would be taking Baeki and her elders to the Niger star system, where the planet Dekina was located. Dekina was a colony that belonged to the Cor family, so I've sent a message ahead. There would be people there to receive her and serve as a guide so that she could find her husband. The battle s.h.i.+ps, or as Malek has taken to calling them, the Stellar Knight Frigates, patent and personal name pending, would be carrying at least a two thousand people on board. The crew and soldiers included.

But it was not just the people, there were also smaller star s.h.i.+ps, and a fleet of squires, star fighter jets capable of both on and off world battles. The developments of Mecha suits were still underway, however there were all terrain battle vehicles on it, capable of warfare on both land and sea. Basically each frigate would have a coalition of every main and sub division of the army.

It took a lot of resources for those three Frigates to be built, they were big as f.u.c.k, so big it could actually house three full grown dragons comfortably. But it wasn't the fact that it was big that shook me, it was the fact that it took them only two days to build the d.a.m.n thing. Even for magic, this was just so d.a.m.n ridiculous, and the fact that my jaw has been hanging halfway down my chest while I stared at Nefisat and Malek like they were aliens.

But either way, the second Knight would be left under the command of Kodak. It's going to be mainly for the protection of the realm, also he would be using it to raise some h.e.l.l in the galaxies as he fights to free slaves from captivity. At this point he was no longer just fighting for the freedom of vampires, the Guardian has become a symbol of freedom and fairness, plus he would be flying under the banner of the Cor n.o.ble now royal family. So it sort of adds more wind to his sails when people find out he works with the Lion of Shearath.

But he would be stretched a little thin as he would also have to protect the realm, but to be honest that wasn't required, at least not yet. The realm was isolated, and it will continue to remain isolated until it was fully formed into a complete world.

And as for the third Knight Frigate, that naturally belongs to the royal family, or at the very least according to the plans made by military generals and Malek, it would be the first in a fleet comprised of the royal guards. Either way with it already prepared, it was time to leave, and Asha was getting a little impatient. Thankfully, coming back would be a lot easier since all of the Frigates were built with a homing beacon of sorts, and with a little implementation and improvement of the dark elves' Spatial gates technology and magic, the frigate should be capable of returning back to the realm with just a push of a b.u.t.ton.

But from now on development of Ethernalia Leonis would be left to the council, and I had faith that they would all be able to work together. After all here in the realm, no one had any advantage, and I had kept it an open secret that the realm was built with the ancient city of Idaho as it's foundation. Only the higher ups knew about this, and most of them were sworn to secrecy, this way the troublesome bunch amongst the vampires who would cause trouble would not have anything ammunition to sink their teeth into.

"You really should stop wasting time, we have to get going. Plus you have to give a farewell speech and that will still take a significant part of our time." Asha complained as she caught me in the gardens looking at the statue of Nefisat and Va.r.s.essa.

"why are you in such a hurry, the world is out there waiting for us, it's not going anywhere." I said to her as we made our way towards the front of the palace where we would take a car to military docks. A civilian one would be under construction soon enough, but that would take longer since from now on, everything would be done manually with hands and magic, rather than relying on Nefisat to rapidly build everything up from the ground.

"If we hurry, we can have crazy hot immortal s.e.x on the bed you grew up sleeping on, I'm a little impatient to see the city you grew up in." Asha said to me.

"Is that so? Well then, I guess we should hurry the f.u.c.k up and get to it. Come on then."

We held her hands as we left the garden laughing like a pair of mischievous teenagers, only for Xaseah to find us and get roped into our clandestine and sultry plans. Somewhere at the back of my mind, I heard a voice telling me that I was behaving nothing like a King, but at this point I didn't care, i really wanted to know what it feels like to have s.e.x with a G.o.ddess.

Wow that's a lot people, plus we're not even mentioning the dragons flying in the air, standing on the ground, or even swimming in the ma.s.sive ocean to my left. At this point you would think that I was already quite used to talking to ma.s.sive crowd, but the number of people before me numbered in the millions. We've not had a census since we've been here, and before we came here if you had to include the vampires, Nephilim and Serpentis we were about twelve and a half million souls. Now we had to add the dark elves, gnomes and the dragons who number more than twice the amount of the vampire, Nephilim and Serpentis race combined.

There was a lot of us right here, many of us young, well almost all of us were young. Apart from the humans, every race here was incredibly long lived, but that was besides the point. Seeing them all reminded of a pa.s.sage from the bible, something about how they would number like stars in the sky and sands on the earth. I guess my family has grown bigger, and I had this inkling feeling that they would grow larger, so much so that comparing them to sand on the earth and stars in the sky would be entirely accurate.

"Hey everyone, how's it going? Hope we're all fine right?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"YEAH!!" hearing them scream out the reply left me with a warm and giddy feeling. I also felt invisible, and completely on top of the world.

"You know I'm not one for ceremony and the proper way of doing things, and since I'm king I get to choose not to sound like a stuck up sissy. But never the less we have made it here! We've fought, bled and cried on our way here, some of us were stuck in this place, alone without growth or connection to the outside world, the rest of us were slaves, prisoners, some of us were chased out of our own homes, our planet, and some trapped in stone for hundreds of years.

We've known pain, dined with it, slept with it, ate with it, and fought with it. But finally, finally! We have a place where no one, not even the G.o.ds themselves can HURT US!"

"YEAH!!!"

"This is home now, and when all of us standing here are long gone, and our children pick up our torch, this will also be their home. And all of us would march on to the next life knowing with all of our hearts that we did our best! And that we succeeded in making a place where our children will be SAFE!"

I paused and looked at everyone, powerful as I am I couldn't memorize the face of everyone in front of me, it would be even more difficult in the case of the dragons as they mostly looked the same. But they were my people, they did not need to have a face I could recognize, just that aura of unrelenting faith and strength that's synonymous with anyone who lives in Ethernalia Leonis. And everyone here had that Aura, and aura so powerful that just at the mention of our name, the universe would tremble in fear.

"Its no longer a secret that we're fighting a larger war than the frauds on the council of light, the warmongering Toroth, and the psychotic Fellows.h.i.+p. There's a larger and more dangerous darkness coming for us, a devourer of worlds with no remorse and no feelings of either love or hate. And because he's coming our battles have only truly begun, but it still doesn't change the fact that we've beaten every d.a.m.n OBSTACLE THAT LIFE HAS THROWN IN OUR WAY!

And we're going to beat this one too. But until he gets here for us to give him am a.s.s kicking he will never forget, we're going to go put into the world and into the cosmos and right every wrong that has been done to us, to our families, our friends and even to our future. We will carve a place for ourselves amongst the stars, take what belongs to us and fight fiercely for the people incapable of fighting for themselves. To create not just a home where everyone can be safe, but a universe where everything is right and just.

I urge you all to be strong, contribute and do your path to make not just Ethernalia Leonis strong, but also your kingdom, your country great. So that tomorrow when you go out to the world and people ask you, where are you from, what country are your roots located in; you can look them in the face and tell them, tell them! That YOU ARE THE PEOPLE OF SPERO!

A Land that has fought for it's freedom and happiness when the whole universe tried to bring it down, a Land of great warriors with powerful wills and determined hearts. Spero! Means hope!, it means that no matter how thick the darkness, how long the night, we're always sure and hopeful that there would light COME MORNING!"

"YEAH!!!"

"Hahahaha, I know most of us actually prefer the dark, but I know you guys understand what I'm saying. This realm has been given to you for next to nothing, it's your duty to make it safe and to make it strong. These city behind us Ethernalia Leonis, but this land underneath our feet and the sky above our heads is Spero, hope. It means that regardless of what label the universe has stuck on our heads, We are stronger than the darkness."

I expected them to scream again, but everything was so silent that I swear I would have been able to hear a pin drop, well I'm sure I would have been able to hear it anyway, I'm a vampire after all. But what came next surprised me, I didn't want to who first started the chant, but soon enough it was the only thing I could, the only thing we all could hear.

"WE'RE STRONGER THAN THE DARKNESS!!!"
"WE'RE STRONGER THAN THE DARKNESS!!!"

And that's going to be the creed of my people, the first and last words our enemies will ever hear, and the light that would chase the darkness from the lives of every one stuck in it. This was what we're meant to be, not the children of the night, or monsters or killers. Saviors, heroes, and there's nothing the b.l.o.o.d.y universe can do about it. Because this I was sure, was our destiny.
