She finally understood what the consultant had meant when she had said, 'such a thing no longer exists,' in reference to the front half of the s.h.i.+p, rather than calling it damaged or destroyed.
To her front, where she should have seen the dark cargo filled deck in which she battled the monster, she now saw clear ocean water, starting a few metres from the front of the brig door, leading all the way through what used to be the island's centre, and then back out to the ocean. It was at least twice the width of the s.h.i.+p all the way across.
The Island had been nearly split in two. In fact only the few metres on which the s.h.i.+p sat, and the small area behind it, were what prevented it from being completely split.
"This," she began, a slightly awkward expression on her face, "is gonna really bother people if seen from above..."
Crystal referred, of course, to the fact that from a higher vantage point it would look like someone sliced ninety-nine point nine percent of the way through the island in a perfectly straight line... and then simply gave up before finis.h.i.+ng.
"Well, I'm sure it's fine," she eventually said, summarizing her opinion on the almost-river, "it's not like a little OCD ever killed anyone... probably."
She then simply gave a somewhat dismissive shrug and a noncommittal comment of, 'Maybe I'll fix it later,' before turning away, back towards the ruins of her s.h.i.+p.
"Now this on the other hand," she said, motioning towards a broken wall to her left, "how do I even begin dealing with this?"
The comment was meant to be rhetorical, not really requiring an answer, the consultant however, replied immediately.
"The cost to restore the front portion of 'the ashen lady' to it's previous condition, and repair the s.h.i.+p in general, is 18,754DP," the consultant said in her usual monotone voice.
"That's.... actually less than I expected," Crystal replied.
Then, after thinking for a moment, she spoke again, "I'm building half a s.h.i.+p you know, why's it so cheap?"
Instead of answering this time, the consultant instead replied by opening a menu box.
[Purchase cost:

'Cannon' (Weapon) repair = 300DP
'Various essential supplies' (Misc) * 213 = 3,788DP
'Various non essential supplies' (Misc) * 690 = 93DP
'Various trash,' (Misc) * 264 = 23DP
Total = 18,754DP]
"I see..." Crystal said as she looked the box over, "hmm... take the trash off list and we've got ourselves a deal."
The moment she had finished her sentence her surroundings were enveloped in pink mist. It spread to the area of the s.h.i.+p which was missing and quickly condensed into the shape of what should have been there, then, a second later, finally taking on all the properties of what should have been there, creating a perfect copy of it.
The half melted cannon however, did the opposite instead, vanis.h.i.+ng from the place it had been the moment the mist had finished coating it, likely having returned to its corresponding gun port on the deck above.

The skeletons, on the other hand, didn't even spare a glance towards the sudden change.
Even the ladder that had previously been missing, was now where it should be.
Seeing it, she quickly climbed it up to deck which contained all the cannons, the one which according to a previous message, was known as the orlop deck.
It was also the one which she had fallen from a month prior.
"Well... that detour took a little bit longer than expected," Crystal joked upon arriving at the somewhat nostalgic deck, right next to the door she had previously seen while being perched on a gun port.
She promptly gripped the door handle but hesitated before turning it.
Crystal, rather than opening the door immediately, instead chose to give a command to her menu.
"List all beings other than me or my minions currently in the dungeon," she said, not wanting to find another giant skeleton monster on the opposite side of the door.
[Current dungeon intruders/invaders: 0]
She looked the message over carefully, searching for any potential oversights, but ultimately accepted it at face value.
Crystal then promptly swung the door open, revealing it's secrets to the world for the first time in two hundred years, empty boxes, empty barrels, spare blankets, rolled up fis.h.i.+ng nets, rolled up, rope, and fis.h.i.+ng rods, or at least that was all that crystal could make out from the pile of miscellaneous things.
Thus she slammed the door shut as quickly as she had opened it.
"So dissatisfying!" She yelled towards said door before tuning away from it.
Crystal spent a moment exploring the orlop deck of the s.h.i.+p but found very little, it had mostly been built using her own DP after all.
The only thing of note was a large square pit near the very front of the s.h.i.+p, which Crystal immediately a.s.sumed to be the rope storage room, mostly based on the insane amount of rope currently being stored in it.
Said rope then lead outside through a hole in the wall, one which existed at the very front of the s.h.i.+p on the right side, the place where it connected to the anchor.
After giving an uninterested 'hmm...' and a bored sounding 'that's a lot of rope,' Crystal then made her way to the next ladder, one which apparently lead to the main deck of the s.h.i.+p.
The s.h.i.+p's main deck held the main mast, which supported the crow's nest and the s.h.i.+p's flag above it, it was situated in the s.h.i.+p's centre, only a couple metres from the door which existed behind it.
Four cannons existed on the s.h.i.+p's deck as well, two on either side of it.
After climbing the ladder, and noticing said mast and cannons, Crystal quickly continued her exploration of the s.h.i.+p, she decided to first explored the front of the s.h.i.+p as it seemed the least interesting, and she wished to end her tour on a high note.
Near the s.h.i.+p's front, to the left of a ladder leading to the forecastle deck above it, was a small wooden door which lead to a room roughly a third the length of the cargo hold.
It was the living quarters, filled to the brim with hammocks, chairs, and the occasional barrel based table for recreational purposes as well.
Crystal proceeded through it, and towards an even smaller door at the room's end.
On the other side of it existed a kitchen of sorts, the galley, it was less then a third the length of the previous room and contained very little of interest, a large cauldron which was suspended over a brick oven, as well as a few pans, plates, bowls, and utensils which were strewn about at random.
"Hmm... well at least this one is a little interesting," mused Crystal, though still more bored than interested.
She then turned and left, returning to the main deck.
Next she returned to the position of the ladder which she had climbed when leaving the orlop deck, it existed to the immediate right of a large wooden door with a rounded top, it was comprised of two smaller doors which connected in the middle.
Crystal proceeded through them, into a small room which held ten doors within it, one to her front, one to her back, and four to either side of her.
Looking through all eight side doors she found them to be very apartment like, each being mostly identical, containing only a bed, a bedside table, a shelf, and a trunk for storage.
It was clear to Crystal that she was currently in the officer's quarters.
Meaning that the only door remaining, the large ornate looking one, seemingly carved from the same black wood as the s.h.i.+p's hull, was likely the captain's room.
Just as she had done with every other area on the s.h.i.+p, excluding the map room, which had sounded unreasonably boring to Crystal, Crystal entered the captain's room and began exploring it.
Or at least she would have, if not for the large comfortable looking bed to her right, adorned with soft looking red silk sheets, a clear match to the blanket which her core currently rested upon within the brig.
"...I'll finish exploring after a short nap," she declared, her tail twitching happily as she made her way towards the bed.
