Smiling finally, her eyes opened, "h.e.l.lo Handsome." What little light was available in Marcus' bedroom came from his windows. But it was enough to see his perfectly chiseled face. "Hi Beautiful." "What time is it?" She asked. She felt too relaxed too languid to move very much. "It's almost time for me to get up and start my day. I thought you would like to join me for breakfast and I wanted to ask you something." "Oh?" Cally smiled, placing a hand on his naked chest. She considered the delicious possibilities.
"Cally, how is it you know about wolves who go mad? How can you pin point them and locate them?" "Oh. Um." Cally turned in his arms. She snuggled her bottom into his thighs and used his arm as a pillow. *sigh* "Not what I expected you to ask in the way of pillow talk." She fell silent in her thoughts. She rubbed her fingers along his forearm. He waited patiently. Finally, "Marcus all werewolves descend from a set of twin brothers..." "You mean the fable of Romulus and Remus?"
"Sigh*, it's not a fable or myth. It's a shared memory. Rommy and Remmy were the first werewolves." Marcus interrupted again, "Were they born that way or created?" Cally pinched his arm. "Hush. I can't answer if you keep interrupting. They were born human. They were created but the hows and whys are beyond me. I wasn't there." Cally turned again and lay just on his arm looking towards the darkened ceiling. "You know how most pack Alphas can tell what their pack members are doing?" He nodded. "Since I am the oldest among the werewolves I am closer to the twins. As such I can sense a mad wolf the same as a pack Alpha. If I don't personally know the wolf I can generally get the location, bloodline, and know what they have done."
"You were the one who told Olen and then he would have me dispatch a neutralization team?" "Yes, if it wasn't a pack or clan Alpha there wasn't a need for me to go in person." Marcus was quiet mulling over her words. Cally lay quietly in his arms waiting for him to process everything. "That's not the whole story is it? There's more to it?" "Hmm, If I told you everything, we would be here all day and probably into next week.
"Okay, one more question and then I'll make you breakfast. In this relations.h.i.+p there can only be one Alpha. Who is it?" Cally jerked her head to look at him. *this relations.h.i.+p*. Joy shot through her whole being. "Um." Marcus tightly pinched her nipple. "That's not the right answer, Cally." She gasped at the quick pain that was already gone. "Um, you are the Alpha in bed?" He stared at her for a moment and then leaned in to kiss her fully. He swept his tongue into her mouth and playfully chased her tongue all about. "Right answer."
Scooping her up he walked into the bathroom. "We'll shower together and then have breakfast." Marcus quickly adjusted the water flow in his walk in shower. Pus.h.i.+ng Cally to face the shower wall, he smiled and said, "You'll have to bear with my shampoo and soap." Pouring a generous amount of liquid soap into his hands he spread it over her back and down her waist. Cally was already panting. He smiled more, "Breakfast might be delayed.."
