A Warrior's Path 28 Chapter 28. Kurama

Naruto sobbed by the care shown by Akane. He finally have someone who won't hate him. Akane and Kus.h.i.+na were very close. When she learned that both Minato and Kus.h.i.+na died leaving Naruto as an orphan, she wanted to take him in but that d.a.m.n mummy and those two wretched elders strongly refused. Their claim was that they couldn't leave the Nine Tails Jinchuriki in the hands of people who were adept at seals.

Eventhough they have been living in the village, only Sarutobi trusted them unconditionally. The rest were still a bit wary of someone born outside the village. it's been seven years since the Kyuubi attack. The tension during those first couple of years after the attack was no more. Akane told both of them to take a bath. Ryu lead Naruto to his room, he told naruto to take a bath first.

When Naruto came out Ryu handed him a set of his clothes to wear and placed Naruto's to be washed. Ryu told him to look around while he bathes. Naruto looked around curiously. He saw a bunch of books on a wall shelf, a neatly folded bed, a study desk with some books scattered around and a wardrobe. This was his first time being in a room other than his own. He went towards the desk and took up a book. As he looked all he could see was scribbles of many symbols, he was interested in the symbols but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't understand them.

Ryu got out of the bath and saw Naruto holding his practice book. Ryu in his spare time draws using ink and pen to improve his penmans.h.i.+p after all the more fluid your seals are the more perfect they become. Naruto heard Ryu come out, he held the book up and asked

' What this?'.

Ryu: That's my practice book. I use it to familiarise myself with the symbols for sealing after all I am an Uzumaki.

Naruto: Seals? What's that?

Ryu: Seals are special form of ninjutsu used to achieve a certain result. For example this

He took out a piece of special paper and wrote the word for wind after that he threw it towards Naruto. To Naruto's surprise the paper burned before producing a light gust of wind across Naruto's face.

Naruto: wow!! That's awesome dattebayo!! Teach me!.

Ryu: No.

Naruto was like a deflated balloon as his mood went down.

Ryu: Atleast not right now. You need to have a bare minimum of Mid level chakra control to even do the lowest of seals not to mention you have only started the academy.

Naruto's mood brightened again. He made Ryu promise to teach him after he reached the minimum requirement. They both talked for some time until they heard Akane calling

' Boys come down. Dinners ready '.

Ryu: Coming mom.

Ryu and Naruto came downstairs. Naruto saw a lot of dishes placed on the table, his mouth watered seeing various variety of dished. Four chairs were placed around the table with two being occupied. One of them was Akane. Ryu introduced

' Naruto, this is my father Hiro. There is one more person but he had something do to and will be back tomorrow. I will introduce him later '.

Naruto quickly said stammering: Ni..Nice to meet you. Hiro san.

Hiro also heard about Naruto's arrival from Akane. He smiled at him

' Don't be nervous. Sit down and eat. Akane is a great cook '.

Naruto and Ryu took their seats and said their thanks before storming through the dishes. Akane and Hiro smiled seeing this, they too started eating. The family ate while enjoying each others company. Akane took the plates away after the boys were done.

Akane suddenly said : Naruto what do you call Ryu?

Naruto: Ryu san.

Akane: That's not very nice, is it? You are three years younger than Ryu so shouldn't you call him Nii san.

Naruto stood there like an idiot before smiling cheekily. His eyes were a bit wet but he was truly happy. Now he has a big brother like many kids from the village.

Ryu: Mom if he calls me big brother then shouldn't he call you aunt.

Akane: That's true. So Naruto, from now on call me Aunt.

Hiro: Dont forget about me.

Akane: You can call him old man.

Hiro: We are about the same age, so If he calls me old man then you are also an old lady. Hahaha.

' c.r.a.p '.

Ryu saw his mother smiling towards his father. She slowly walked towards him

Akane: Dear, can you repeat that?

Hiro's laugh slowly stopped. He looked at his wife smiling at him and was terrified. He explained

Hiro: No my dear. you must have heard it wrong, I didn't say anything.

Akane: Dear, can you repeat that?

She asked the same question. Ryu knew his father can't be saved. He took Naruto and quickly went to his room. A couple of minutes after he closed the door, he heard the wails of his father.

' I will heal you later dad '.

Naruto asked what happened and Ryu said: Naruto remember this very carefully. Never ever call a middle aged lady old or ask their age.

Naruto didn't understand what happened but seeing his big brother so serious he kept those words in mind.

Ryu: Stay here tonight. We can share the bed.

Naruto was excited. He talked nonstop about the pranks he did, he also mentioned the third a lot. ' I guess he sees the third as his family '. Finally after talking for two hours Naruto fell asleep.

Ryu opened his eyes. He got up and lifted Naruto's s.h.i.+rt. There he saw a spiralling seal with symbols around it. This was the ' Eight Trigrams Seal '. The seal was well done by Minato who was not an Uzumaki. Just from this you can see Minato's talent.

Ryu placed his palm over the seal. As someone who has completely mastered the sealing arts, there is no seal he can't explain. Ryu's consciousness seeped into the seal. When he opened his eyes he was in a place with ankle high water with a bleak atmosphere. He looked ahead and saw a huge red gate with a seal tag on it. He walked towards the gate.

As he neared he could sense huge amount of chakra inside the cage. This was the Kyuubi. The strongest of the Tailed beast. He stopped right infront of the cage. Suddenly two huge eyes Appeared inside the cage. The eyes were red with slits in the pupil. Even Ryu was slightly affected by the Evil aura.

Ryu said: Should I call you Kyuubi or Kurama.

Kurama was startled when he heard his name. It's been millenniums since someone called his name. He growled

' An Uzumaki. Wretched human, how do you know my name?'.

Ryu: I know more than your name Kurama. I know how you came to be and the dangers lurking in this world.

Kurama: You know nothing!

Ryu: I think we should have a talk.
