The air got cold all of a sudden as a brisk wind was sweeping across the woods, making Liu shudder involuntarily. He looked around out of instinct, only to find nothing there.
Inside the Mixed Yuan s.p.a.ce, Yan Li slowly pulled out the Wushuang Sword and gripped it tight in hand, eyes sharp with murderous intentions, before stepping out of it with a smirk on his face.
The Wushuang Sword emitted an intimidating pressure array as soon as the Zhen vigor was infused in it and then went charging toward Liu like a laser beam, covering the distance between them in an instance.
Liu, being a Shenyuan realm pract.i.tioner, immediately sensed the incoming danger and yanked his sword out, spearing it behind him.
A shriek ensued as Liu's right arm fell off, along with his sword, and blood was spurting out from the wound like a fountain,
Liu kept retreating as Yan Li closed in on him and buried the Wushuang Sword into his chest, letting the Zhen vigor shatter his heart.
But Liu didn't die right away, instead he grunted, staring at Yan Li with googly eyes, “Yan Li…How…You!”
“Bye, s.h.i.+xiong Liu!” Yan Li casually took the Wushuang Sword out, watching the lifeless body slump to the ground, whose eyes were still wide open with pure indignation.
Suddenly, Yan Li felt that the Bladeless Sword was buzzing against his back, as if trying to wiggle its way of the sheath.
“s.h.i.+t!” He was scrambling to reach out for his back when he heard a dragon's howl ring off beside his ear.
The Bladeless Sword broke loose and plunged into Liu's body with a thud, once again making that gut-wrenching sucking noise as a winding streak of red appeared on its length like a pulsing vein. The sword was shrouded in a blood-red glow, grotesque and eerie enough to render Yan Li speechless.
“This is an evil sword! I have to destroy it!”
Yan Li thought as he swung up the Wushuang Sword and chopped it at the Bladeless Sword.
His face twitched as he felt the Wushuang Sword stalled as if got jammed somewhere, when all the while that familiar pull appeared again, followed by a trace of chilling energy that winded its way into Yan Li's body before joining in the sea of vigor.
The strange pull dissipated, but a surge of fury swelled up in Yan Li's heart as he again swung the Wushuang Sword towards the Bladeless Sword.
Sparks flew as two swords collided with a “Ding”. The Bladeless Sword was still imperviously intact when the Wushuang Sword wailed as a thin cut emerged on its length.
“Oh my G.o.d! This thing is like a rock! Even harder than the Wushuang Sword.”
Liu's body had been completely sucked dry now by the Bladeless Sword, which then retreated back to its sheath with a black flash.
The worry over the Bladeless Sword kept growing inside of him, but right now, Yan Li really could not bring himself to care too much about it. Summoning the Mixed Yuan s.p.a.ce again, he dumped Liu's body in it straight away before heading off.
His hearing and sight were better than most martial artists, so it didn't take him long to track down two of the eight disciples.
They were not too fast since they were searching up and down for Yan Li, who, ironically, was hiding right behind a tree near them, thinking about how to take them down.
Both of them were Shenyuan realm pract.i.tioners, and once they combined forces it would be hard for Yan Li to handle the situation; so the best way was to separate them and then kill them one by one.
An idea popped up in his head as he recalled how Liu told them to sent only one guy back to report to him once they found the trace of Yan Li while the other guy was left alone there.
Yan Li s.h.i.+fted a little before taking a detour to get ahead of them.
“Where do you think that little s.h.i.+t went, s.h.i.+xiong Zhao? We didn't even see the shadow of him along the way!”
“Exactly! Maybe he knows that we're looking for him?”
As they were complaining, a footstep sounded off ahead of them, making their faces light up with excitement,
They exchanged a look and nodded at each other, before sprinting towards the source of the sound.
“Oh yeah, this is that little s.h.i.+t!”
The two of them watched as Yan Li picked up a batch of branches, looking as if to make a fire here.
“Nice! This little b.a.s.t.a.r.d is going to stay here for a while now! s.h.i.+di w.a.n.g, why don't you go back to tell s.h.i.+xiong Liu that we found him, and I'll be here keeping an eye on him!”
“Okay! Take care, s.h.i.+xiong Zhao! I'm going to get s.h.i.+xiong Liu here!'
Yan Li didn't miss a tiny bit of their conversation, and when he heard that one of them was about to leave, he could not help but let slip a wry grin.
Zhao Lei carefully hid himself behind a tree while watching Yan Li out of the corner of his eyes.
Yet, suddenly, his eyes went wide with shock, because he just saw Yan Li, who was making a bonfire, disappear into the thin air—right in front of him!
Without thinking twice, he teleported himself beside the bonfire, “What the h.e.l.l? I just saw…”
“Are you looking for me, s.h.i.+xiong Zhao?”
A voice riddled with mockery thundered beside Zhao Lei's ear as he felt a sharp pain coming from his chest and looked downwards, only to find a steely sword impaling him.
He slowly lifted his head up to stare at Yan Li, “You…How did you do this?”
“The dead needs to know nothing!” Yan Li yanked his sword out, sneering.
Honestly, he didn't feel a thing killing them, since they all wanted him dead in the first place.
Then came another dragon's howl as the Bladeless Sword again freed itself from the sheath and planted its length into Zhao Lei's body, devouring the blood.
If you cannot beat it, then accept it!
After the Bladeless Sword came back from its blood-sucking routine, Yan Li threw Zhao Lei's body into the Mixed Yuan s.p.a.ce as well, before going after the other disciple whose name was w.a.n.g.
Two down, seven to go!
w.a.n.g Feng joined Dahuang Palace at the age of fifteen as an outdoor disciple and was promoted to the indoor circle three years later. Shortly after that, he was recruited by Lin Pou, who helped and guided him to reach Shenyuan realm in under two years. Because of this, he didn't hesitate at all when Lin Pou sent him to kill Yan Li, and if anything, he even thought that Yan Li deserved this for costing s.h.i.+xiong Lin three million Liang. Also, if they could pull it off this time, Lin Pou would give each of them a Cuiyun Pill as a reward.
A shadow flashed through above him, dragging him out of his contemplation.
But soon, he narrowed his eyes as he found someone appeared just a few meters in front of him, blocking his way.
“Well, h.e.l.lo, you little f.u.c.ker!”
“Where are you headed to, s.h.i.+xiong w.a.n.g?” Yan Li looked at him amusingly.
w.a.n.g Feng didn't expect Yan Li to know his name, “How…How do you know me?”
“Oh, you told me yourself, don't you remember?” The mockery in his eyes became more and more obvious as he replied.
“Bull s.h.i.+t! That's impossible! Wait, where is Shxiong Zhao? He was supposed to stay there and watch you!”
“Don't worry, s.h.i.+xiong w.a.n.g! You'll see him pretty soon!”
With a flick of his wrist, Yan Li pulled off the move of the Divine Sky Sword Skill and then came barreling down at w.a.n.g Feng.
