The letter contained a plan on how to tarnish Baili Chen's name without dirtying their family's reputation.

Her ashen face was full of worry but she managed to create a smile.
"This Furen would like to apologize. This Furen would like to ask all of you to leave. My brother in law has almost a.s.sa.s.sinated. The injury must have been very grave that it even confused the servants. Only a physician could tell the truth but since it was already late, it was not proper for young ladies to remain here. This Furen will invite all of you once again in the near future." Baili Furen's hidden words were very clear and the Furens knew that it was pointless to remain there thus, after giving some words of encouragement, they left one by one.
Baili Furen's eyes sharpened when the last guest left.
