Mi Rong dialled her phone to check on her three important people.

"h.e.l.lo, leader," Hua answered the call as usual.

Hearing Hua sounding normal, she felt much more relieved, "How's everything?"

Hua reported everything and ended with, "Xiao Bai had come just in time and we are all leaving to find another hideout. I believe the lady wishes to not leave yet."

"Hm, I understand. Well, I'll let Xiao Bai stay with you just in case of anything else. I'm sure the mastermind will try to come again. Go to my hiding out in j.a.pan, Xiao Bai knows the way. Just follow him."

"Yes, leader," Hua complied to her leader's instruction.

"Can you pa.s.s the phone to aunty for me?"

"h.e.l.lo, Mi Rong." Lady Ru Yin spoke through the phone full of smiles.

"Mi Rong ah, I truly have no words to say. You have amazed me once again. Just who are you, my dear?" Lady Ru Yin did not hesitate to praise Mi Rong.

"Haha, aunty, you flatter me too much ah. When we have time, I will tell you everything personally keke." Mi Rong responded cheerfully.

"Fine fine." Lady Ru Yin did not mind.

"Aunty, are you sure you still don't want to come back?" Mi Rong checked again.

There was a pause in the line. Only after a few seconds, did Lady Ru Yin reply back, "Not yet, I don't want to just yet."

"I understand, aunty. Just tell me if you want to come back anytime. You can talk to Xiao Bai about anything and if you need my help you can also tell Xiao Bai." Not long, the call ended.

Mi Rong looked out of her window. Dawn had yet to arrive, but the night quietly awake. She closed her eyes and gathered her inner strength and called a name through her mind, "Xiao Bai."

It took a few minutes for Xiao Bai to reply back through their telepathy, "Mi Rong."

"Can you take aunty to my hiding out?" Mi Rong asked.

"Yes." Xiao Bai replied immediately.

"How are you?"

"I'm all good. Hua received some injuries, but she is fine. Lady Ru Yin is also fine, but you are not. You should not be using too much strength to call me, your wounds are not fully healed yet." Xiao Bai immediately warned Mi Rong of her condition.

However, Mi Rong brushed it off quickly, "Alright, I'll go and get some sleep, tch."

"Good. I shall see you again Mi Rong."

"Tch, talking as if we won't see each other again. Bye, see you soon." Mi Rong's eyes that had been shut were now opened once again. She sighed. When will this d.a.m.n wound heal?

She walked around her wound in a fuss, only to end up in her bed. Sigh, she wished she could be with Xiao Bai, but then again she had to look after grandma Feng and Qing Qing. Mi Rong kicked her legs in the air but had to immediately stop. She took a look at her wound on her waist; it was soaking through her clothes with some blood. Mi Rong closed her eyes in frustration but in the end, she got up to change her wounds. She kept telling herself to be patient over and over again, but it was never that easy.

...

Across the country, both father and son were looking in every corner for their dearest person. Though both were looking for Lady Ru Yin, they were working separately. However, Jun Kai would have had no idea that his father was even looking for his mother.

It had almost been three entire days that he had been looking for his mother. He had sent men to look for any signs in other countries, but still no sign.

Sometimes he would wonder how his mother was doing. Was she hurt? Was she waiting for anyone to save her? Or had she given up all hope? Sigh, he had not gotten much sleep or more like he could not sleep.

Jun Kai had returned to his hotel room and was staring at the night sky from outside. The town was truly just a busy place. Compared to the quiet place he lived, it was like night and day. As he thought of home, he wondered what the other person had been doing these past few days...

Like any other days, Mi Rong had come down to sit on the sofa downstairs. She laid down on the sofa and opened a book that she had been reading. Tonight, the other person had not returned yet. She began to wonder how he was doing, looking for his mother.

However, she could not ask for her men to exhaust themselves anymore. It had only been a few days ago that they had been through a big battleground. Some had lost their friends and they were all in no shape to work. The recent fight with the mastermind had taken up so much manpower. Although they won, they had also lost many things. This time, she thought, he would have to search for his mother alone.

Mi Rong was then immersed at the book in her hand. It was his book that she had borrowed. She was almost done, so she would have to give it back to him soon, but he was not here…

Behind Mi Rong in the corner. The housekeeper watched Mi Rong with his kind face. He could only shake his head before leaving the lady alone. Sigh, it had been three days already that she had come down late at night to lie on the sofa. This young lady would take care of the chairwoman in the day and tuck the young miss in bed, then, she would come down to read the same book and fall asleep on the sofa. Nevertheless, she must have woken up in the night again and leave because the next morning there would be no signs of her.

He went to sit in his housekeeper chair at the back of the house. It was an old wooden chair, but he preferred this the most. Sigh, the housekeeper looked up in the sky through the window, young master Jun Kai had yet to return, but the lady had been waiting for him for three days already.

However, he was already old, and the matters of the youngsters should be left for them to sort out, he thought.

And just like that the three days had past, it was as calm as usual, but it could just be the calm before the storm.
