Phoenix's Fated Half 21 Treating The Wound But Arousing Suspicion

Jun Kai opened his eyes and at the same time Mi Rong also looked up to his face. Their eyes met. His face seemed to have more color than when she had come in. His face had drops of sweat popping up. Then Mi Rong adverted her gaze and realized that his s.h.i.+rt was now tightly stuck on his body. He must've sweated a lot from the treatment. However, the only problem was that she could see his body outline clearly since his s.h.i.+rt had stuck to his body.

---My goodness.

It was one of most perfect body she had seen. Mi Rong a little stunned and had to take a deep breath. She had seen many patients but this was somehow awkward. She didn't get why she would feel this way with a guy like him.

----Was she shy? Eyy, Impossible. It must be because he's a famous star. Nothing else.

Jun Kai who was awake, closely watched as Mi Rong's face kept expressing many different emotions in a short amount of time. He found it funny watching her facial expressions changing, so he just laid back and watched her. His also started wondering around the room; however, he couldn't really process anything as he felt slightly numb, so he gave up and looked back at Mi Rong who had been staring at the ground.

When Mi Rong felt the gaze from Jun Kai, she looked up and decided to say, "Hey, I've just finished treating your wound. Just don't make any intensive movements with your arm."

"Hm, you did it yourself?" It was a gunshot and she was only a nurse. How was she even able to treat it when she wasn't a doctor.

"Ah?" Oh no, how was she going to explain ah.

Jun Kai was feeling rather patient and idly elaborate, "Did you treat my wound yourself?"

"Uh, yes." Mi Rong also added, "I've been in the emergency surgery room for quite a while, so I learned it from watching the doctors. There has been many cases that I've learned from medical school, so I was able to do it accordingly to the theory. Luckily, your wound wasn't severe. However, I didn't expect that you would wake up straight after the treatment. You must have a very great body."

---Ahh! She wanted to scream. A great body? Mi Rong you really can't think of any other excuses!!

It was the most longest sentence she had ever spoken to Jun Kai, but at the same time she was also very careful to keep her face straight and make herself sound reasonable as much as possible.

"Oh." Jun Kai did have a strange feeling, but what Mi Rong had said sounded somewhat reasonable and somewhat strange at the same time. Nevertheless, he didn't have anything to refute.

However, only if Jun Kai had given a deeper thought to it, he would have found may loopholes to Mi Rong's words. This could only be left till later if he gave another thought to what had happen today.

Jun Kai thought of something and slowly but steadily sat up. At that time, he felt a slight pain on his left waist, it didn't hurt that so much but it had made him frown. He subconsciously pulled his hand to touch the area and felt a damp liquid from it. When he took his hands out, it was blood. Jun Kai furrowed his eyebrows and pulled his s.h.i.+rt up slightly which revealed a small sc.r.a.pe. He tried thinking of how he had got the slight sc.r.a.pe on his waist and thought of when Feng Min had shot his twice and he must have somewhat got caught.

Mi Rong raised up one of her brows and questioningly looked at the sc.r.a.pe and then at Jun Kai.

Seeing her face, he slowly explained, "It must have been a sc.r.a.pe from a bullet. Would you mind just cleaning it up for me. I don't want it to be infected."

----This guy seemed to be in a good mood. For once he's not picking a fight.

"Yeah. Let me see."

She took a closer look at the sc.r.a.pe; however, she was being distracted by Jun Kai's bare skin.

-----Ahhh. Mi Rong, compose yourself!

She hastily looked away to fetch her medicine and a gauze to cover the wound. Once again Jun Kai was in a deep pain. The medicine had stung like a bee.

With gritted teeth Jun Kai angrily said, "Ouch! Are you sure you're not trying to kill me woman!?"

Mi Rong didn't respond but purposely pressed on his wound slightly harder when she was bandaging it.

Once again, Jun Kai was in an awful pain. "You!"

"Hmph! Serves you right." Mi Rong then turned away to pack her stuff to leave. After spending her energy on treating him, she'll need some rest for her journey tomorrow.

On the other hand, Jun Kai was not going to let her go just yet. This sneaky woman! With his good arm, he pulled Mi Rong by the wrist to get her to face him. However, because Mi Rong was about to turn and didn't expect Jun Kai to pull her, she heavily fell on Jun Kai's chest.

"Ahh." Mi Rong let out a small shriek.

Her body was leaning closely over his. Luckily, she had moved her hand to not touch any parts near his wound, but was now pressing on both his chest. She tried getting up, but she whilst doing so, both of their eyes met again.

Jun Kai's eyes was fixed to hers. He had a confused look and was a little dumbfounded. Her scent was unique and smelled nice. When she fell into his arms, he subconsciously wrapped his arms around her back.

Mi Rong face was a rosy color, it made her look quite cute.

"Uh, I should go now." She then quickly got off of his body and swiftly put her tools back in her bag.

Jun Kai was just left lying on his bed.

"Lin Cheng and the rest, you can come and accompany your boss now."

Hearing this only Lin Cheng walked in as they knew their boss' temperature, "Thank you, Miss Mi Rong, your quite a talent!"

"Thanks. Get better soon!" Mi Rong then walked out of the room.

"Boss, you're awake!"

"Hm, how long did she take to treat me?"

"Uh, about half an hour sir."

The room then became silent. Lin Cheng also had just realized something. Miss Mi Rong had only took 30 minutes to take out the bullet and cure his boss. His boss was also able to wake up in a short amount of time. What powers did she have?

Jun Kai had a dark expression. He was beginning to get more suspicious of who Mi Rong is.

"Check her medical skills out, give me the details."

"Yes sir."
