Chen Mu arrived at Huang mansion and rushed to s.h.i.+ Xue's room. When he stepped in, he saw the always cold Zhi Hei patiently speaking to s.h.i.+ Xue asking her if she remembered who she was and how she got hurt...

When s.h.i.+ Xue saw Chen Mu, her eyes showed a trace of fear putting her guards up as she did not know whether he was there to harm her. Seeing her tension, Zhi Hei gently rubbed her head and explained to her that he is here to treat her and to relax. He's here and n.o.body can harm him. Within the 15 minutes, Zhi Hei formed a basic trust in s.h.i.+ Xue and she slowly relaxed as she greeted Chen Mu.

"H..h.e.l.lo Doctor Chen..thank you for treating me" she smiled gently.

...This beauty was already stunning when she was unconscious ... now her smile just melted the hearts of those present in the room... SUCH BEAUTY LIKE AN ANGEL SHE EVEN THANKED HIM FOR SAVING HER WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME HE HEARD A THANKS FROM THE b.a.s.t.a.r.d SITTING NEXT TO HER TCH...

"Haha, my dear, you're welcome and so worth my beauty sleep.. let me take your pulse and give you a simple check up" Chen Mu took a quick glance at someone whose expression is as chilly as the devils graveyard right now before he began checking for irregularities in s.h.i.+ Xue's condition.

s.h.i.+ Xue: "No.. just a bit thirsty, but that's all"

s.h.i.+ Xue: "... they called me s.h.i.+ Xue... so I guess that is my name.."

Chen Mu:"...How about this, dear, drink a cup of warm milk and try to sleep for tonight."

"She seems fine to me. All she needs is plentiful rest and a set nutrition meal. Ah. I'll also prescribe her some medicines that she should take to help improve her recovery." Chen Mu said as he packed up getting ready to leave. He gave Zhi Hei a serious look that lasted for a few seconds that only he would be able to see. Then he turned to s.h.i.+ Xue and smiled "I'll see you again tomorrow."

Zhi Hei followed Chen Mu out and then dragged him to his study room to discuss her condition. Chen Mu sighed as he explained it is a miracle she's woken up in such a short while. Due to her head injury, there is a blood clot that would clear up itself eventually and I will personally keep track of it making sure it won't affect her in the future. Also... her amnesia may or may not go away so it is best for you to spend more time as she seems more relaxed near you.

"Don't let her be under any stress or emotional conflict for now. No need to rush her into recovering her memory...and.." Chen Mu glanced at Zhi Hei

"And...?"

"Clean your room! Look at all these scattered papers!! I know you're a workaholic, but please even your wife looking at this mess would get a headache!"

...Chen Mu walked out of the room and Zhi Hei's expression turned solemn.

Right.. I totally forgot about this report. The report showed many incidents of s.h.i.+ Xue receiving fractures and was treated like a servant in the s.h.i.+ family's house. She suffered emotionally as her father pa.s.sed away and her family could care less of her existence. She was innocent enough to think her uncle would be able to help her in the company that she was tricked into signing papers of transferring her inheritance once she dies to the c.r.a.p human beings. Not only that, the uncle took power of authority for their corporation and totally kicked her off the chairman position. She became a n.o.body over the years and was set on her relations.h.i.+p with that b.a.s.t.a.r.d Ke Ze Yang. It was obvious that he was having an affair with s.h.i.+ Qi Wing... yet this silly girl was only left with her only hope which was him so she didn't dare get away. Reports revealed several pictures of him abusing her injuring her... The worst case was her finally trying to get away from him asking for breakup and him choking her near death. That b.a.s.t.a.r.d didn't let go until her eyes were cherry red with tears flowing out and snot coming out. Until she almost stopped her struggles and her face drowned of color did he let his dirty hands go.

Zhi Hei clenched his chest as he recalled a particular page of the report that showed signs of her attempted suicide, thank goodness she ended up alright. There was a knife beside her that she stared at for hours before she held it and put it back in the kitchen. Her hair was disheveled and her eyes were red and swollen, tears long gone. Her lips were pale. .. and her neck revealed blue and purple handprints... the marks the b.a.s.t.a.r.d choked her...

So much pain.. Zhi Hei felt as if someone had stabbed him millions of times and sprinkled salt into his fresh wounds. She must've been so tired, yet she couldn't go away.....

How should I comfort her... if I knew all these bulls.h.i.+t earlier... I would've ripped these people into pieces and while they're alive use a rope and tie them to the end of it while playing helicopter bungee jump with them. Throw them down and make them swim in that ocean while being bitten by fishes and sharks. Even then... this hate wouldn't be enough... These b.a.s.t.a.r.ds laid their poisonous hands on my angel. The one whom I tried to protect and give her all happiness....

Since you b.a.s.t.a.r.d missed this jewel... I already let go once...
