The couple signed the guest book and made their way through the crowd towards Yu Rou.

Yu Rou's eyes twitched as she held back her death glare to maintain her composure.

"Yes. I'm happy that the two of you could make it to my party." she forced a smile.

Zhi Hei:"I'm going to take s.h.i.+ Xue around first, so we will talk to you later."

Yu Rou: "uh... alright."

During the time that she spoke with the sweet couple, she twist and turned her body a few times to try and get some compliments from Zhi Hei. But Zhi Hei totally ignored her hints which made her extremely irritated because he would normally give her a light hug during parties. She would also enjoy his light touch even though it were all out of formalities. She clenched her teeth as she watched the couple whispering into each others ears and laughing heartily. She had never seen Zhi Hei smile this way around her even when she joked with him, he was never this gentle.

"OH I'M SO SORRY! VERY SORRY!" this woman is around her 50s but gave off a sense of elegance and kindness. She had a worrisome look on her expression as she glanced at the soaked champagne dress. The woman was wearing a formal black dress and had a pearl necklace around her neck.

"It's alright. It's water so it won't leave a stain" s.h.i.+ Xue replied in a gentle and soft tone. She saw that the woman was a bit pale so she quickly helped her sit down. After retrieving another gla.s.s of water for the woman, she asked "Do you prefer warm water? You look a bit pale are you alright?"

The woman was shocked by s.h.i.+ Xue's friendliness. She expected that youngsters these days would be rude and unruly towards their elders as even a tiny splash on their dress would explode into a huge commotion. This girl is raised with very good manners, she thought to herself before replying "I'm alright. Thank you. I'm just not used to coming to parties and being in crowds"

s.h.i.+ Xue's eyes twinkled and gave her a very sweet smile that would make the hearts of elders melt. "To be honest, me either. I'm not used to coming to these grand parties and was about to take an empty seat to wait for my boyfriend to finish talking with some business partners."

The woman took an observant look at s.h.i.+ Xue as she drank her gla.s.s of water... this girl is very beautiful and is raised with such great manners. Whoever marries this girl would be the luckiest man on earth.. but why does she look awfully familiar....? Is it just my imagination...?

After chatting with the woman for a bit more, s.h.i.+ Xue saw Zhi Hei looking around probably for her. His confused look of not seeing her around after he finished talking with some partners made him look like an abandoned puppy.

Looking at his helpless expression, s.h.i.+ Xue laughed gently.

Woman :"What's so funny?" she asked with a smile as she heard the girl's heartily gentle laughter.

s.h.i.+ Xue: "My boyfriend seems to be finished with his talk and is looking for me. " she smiled dazzlingly.

Woman: "You must love him a lot for you to smile with such warmth when talking about him." she followed along and smiled warmly as well. It's as if she was looking at her own daughter, this type of warmth is hard to find.

s.h.i.+ Xue nodded a few times before replying "mmm , mmm, I love him the most. I'm willing to give up everything I have just for this man." her eyes were clear and innocent.

The woman smiled warmly and said "He's lucky to have you"

s.h.i.+ Xue: "no, no, I'm the lucky one to have him!"

Since Zhi Hei warned s.h.i.+ Xue not to speak too much about herself to strangers, s.h.i.+ Xue knew what to say and not say. When she saw that Zhi Hei was getting lost and further away from her, she got up from her seat and waved good bye to the woman to go look for him.

After s.h.i.+ Xue left, the woman's husband walked over. "Mrs. Huang, I've been looking for you"

The woman laughed and looked at the man whose in his 50s and hair as black as ink. "Mr. Huang, while you were lost looking for me, I met a very interesting young miss. She was so energetic and honest that she reminded me of Xiao Ling" she sighed.

Mr.Huang took the empty seat next to his wife and patted her back gently."It's indeed been so long since she's been gone... I heard her daughter went missing after her father died.. it's a pity."
