"What do you mean by that?" Kyle asked.

Kyle knows that it's going to be hard to get blessings from Anna's grandfather and brother but he doesn't get why would Anna's grandfather doesn't want to accept him?

He is not some sc.u.mbag on the streets. He is a proper man and knows how to greet the elders, is he really not likable in Marcus Coleman's perspective?

"You don't need to know why I just want you to follow what I say and that is to stay away from Marcus Coleman's granddaughter." As much as Elijah wants to tell Kyle why he is so against Kyle pursuing Anna he just can't because only pain and sadness overwhelm him whenever he speaks about that event.

After saying that Elijah left Kyle and Erik in the living and went to his room.

"I guess you and Anna are not fated to be, huh?" Erik shakes his head as if he is disappointed that it is impossible for Anna and Kyle to be together. He only said this in a joking manner but it doesn't seem Kyle find it very funny.

Hearing that statement from his friend, Kyle's mood turned sour. "Say one more word about that and I'll make sure to cut your tongue."

"Who's tongue are are you gonna cut?" A sweet tone voice was heard and it was Lannie who just came in with along with their parents. By the looks of it, they had a lot of fun shopping, 'That's a lot of bags.' Erik said in his mind.

"None of your business." Kyle coldly said. He felt that today was his worst day yet. First, it was Erik who kept on pestering him; second, it was his grandfather who suddenly barges inside the villa and telling him to stay away from the woman he is planning to pursue; and thirdly, Erik again said something that really irritates him. 'Can this day get worse than it already is?'

"Kyle your sister was only asking a question, don't treat her like that." Layla scolded Kyle and Kyle could only stay silent; he wouldn't dare talk back on his mother, the result will not end well if he does.

"I heard from the gardener outside that your grandfather is back, is it true?" Stan asked. When he heard it earlier he suddenly got a bad feeling from his father's sudden visit.

"Yeah, and I certainly wish that grandpa should go back overseas immediately." Kyle mumble and everyone heard what he said loud and clear. Everyone suddenly got quiet and seconds later Erik was the only one who is laughing hard.

Kyle's parents and sister were quite confused about what is going on. They don't understand why would Kyle don't want his grandfather to be home; Kyle would rather hang out with his grandfather than with his own father.

"What is so funny, Erik?" Lannie asked as she frowns at Erik. So far she doesn't see or heard anything that is very funny, so how is it that Erik is the only one who's laughing?

"For a short moment between Kyle and grandpa Elijah, you guys sure missed a lot," Erik said, still laughing. First, when he heard Kyle said those words he was shocked, truly shocked but then he suddenly thought of Anna. Looks like Anna is the reason why Kyle said those words, his friend truly has change.

"What did we missed? Did they had a fight?" Stand asked.

"I'm really sure if it was really a fight, but one thing is sure grandpa Elijah told Kyle to stay away from Anna and he also told Kyle that Anna's grandfather won't ever accept him."

Kyle doesn't have any idea why would his grandfather say that. As far as he can tell there is no hatred between his family and Anna's family unless the problem lies between his grandfather and Anna's grandfather. If so then, the question is: what is the problem?

"What? No!" Lannie shouted as she was staring at her phone. Everyone looks at her, trying to figure out what is the problem. Looks like she was not listening to the part where her own grandfather told her brother to stay away from Anna.

"What's the matter, sweetheart?" Layla asked as she stroke her daughter's hair.

Lannie looks at her mother and the expression that Lannie is showing to her mother is a sad one. "I got a text from Aaron, mom!" She said.

"Text? What did he say to make you show us that kind of face." Stan said in an angry tone. Besides his wife, his only daughter is his treasure, he would do anything just make her happy. If anyone makes his daughter sad or cry he surely break their neck.

"He said that his grandfather will be announcing Anna's engagement with that annoying fly a few days from now." Lannie felt that all her hard work on trying to pair her brother and Anna together will end up nothing if Marcus Coleman officially announces that pesky engagement. She turns her head towards her brother direction and stared at him, 'Brother do something. Fast!'

Kyle, on the other hand, heard that and felt like he wants to laugh in mockery to the two old men who are getting in his way. He felt that they are testing him but at the same time, he felt that they truly don't want him and Anna to be together. Whether they are testing him or not he is not backing away.

"Goodness gracious, Marcus Coleman and your grandfather are too childish," Layla said as she rubs her forehead. She can't believe that the hatred between them in the past is still going on, they even affected the young ones who are still pursuing what they want.

Kyle looked at his mother and asked, "Mom, do you know what's going on between them?" If his mother knows what is really going on then she should say it to her son because Kyle is sure that it will definitely help him.

"I do know what's going between your grandfather and Anna's. I accidentally heard it from your grandpa years ago." Layla was visiting Elijah overseas when she accidentally heard Elijah cursing Marcus over the phone. Elijah said something about what happened to them in the past that made Layla knows what's going between them.

Layla might not know that whole story but she is sure that they hate each other's guts very much.

"Can you tell us what it is, aunty?" Now that Kyle knows that her mother knows something that could help him then he should able to solve this problem sooner than he initially thought.

Layla looked at him and she suddenly thought of something, "If you truly want to know the whole truth then have some courage to ask Anna's grandfather or your grandfather."

In Layla's opinion if Kyle really likes Anna then he should face any challenges to have Anna by his side and this hatred between the two grandpa's is a perfect challenge for Kyle. This way Layla would see to how much extent will Kyle do to have Anna by his side.

Hearing such words from his mother, Kyle already knows what his mother is doing; she is testing him. "Fine. I'll show you." He said.
