REBORN: Revenge 376 Revenge 377: Everything Is Going Smoothly

"Arion, what's your problem? Kyle is a good kid and he treats your precious daughter well. Why is it so hard for you to like this kid?" Mary asked. Back then, Arion is also like Kyle. He did a lot of things just to impress her and to prove to her master that he is worthy of her.

'How can he not see that Kyle is also doing the same thing he did back then?' She inwardly asked.

"This kid, that you like so much, is a cunning one. I know that because I was once like that in that in the past." Not too long ago, Arion realized why Mary's master is so against him to be Mary's partner back then. Harrison doesn't like him because he was too cunning.

When he heard it the first time, he can't figure out the answer. But when he first met Kyle, he fully understands why. Back then, he did things that he really regretted. He made Mary cry, made her feel pain. And for that, he is sure that Kyle makes the same mistakes he did. He doesn't want to see his only daughter go through a similar experience as her mother.

Marcus sighed, then he patted his son's shoulder. "Son, you and Kyle are two different people. Sure, he may cunning, but I don't think it would go to the point that might hurt Anna. Kyle is a smart kid." Marcus is sure that Kyle knows that once his granddaughter is hurt because of him, he, the patriarch of the Coleman family, will go after him.

Even if it might cause a war between Robertsons and the Colemans, Marcus will do anything to punish Kyle.

"Uhh. I don't want to sound rude, but can we stop talking about this and just focus on Anna? She's about to come up and answer the judges' question." Lannie stopped listening to them the moment she saw her brother's smile. She doesn't want to fill her head with a lot of questions about her brother's personality. But when she noticed that it's finally Anna's time to answer the judges' question, she immediately informed the people she's with.

She would rather have them watch Anna than to keep arguing on whether her brother is worthy of Anna or not.

"You're right. We should." Aaron immediately agreed. After teasing his father for a moment, he suddenly lost interest. Good thing that Lannie said something or else he might have to cover his ears from his father's childish reasons.

Throughout the whole thing, Anna answered the judges' question without any problem. She didn't stutter and her answer really impressed the judges. Even Marcus is impressed. Before, Marcus worried about how will his granddaughter handle situations, like answering the press' questions. Now that he witnessing his granddaughter's performance, it seems like his worries are all for nothing.

So far, from what he has been witnessing, both Anna and Aaron are ready to face the public. "Looks like it's almost time for us to introduce our family's heir, don't you think so, Aaron?"

Normally, Marcus will have to wait for a few more years to introduce his family's next heir, but waiting for much longer is going to be a problem. With that family treasure has gone missing, the other elders are starting to notice and they want to use it against him and his family.

Marcus can't let it happen. All he wants to do now is to introduce Aaron to be the next heir. As for Anna, she will have the life she wants and she will also be supporting her brother through and through.

Aaron is not that surprised to hear his grandfather say that to him. With the fact that he has the family treasure in his hand, and only three people know about it, he understands why his grandfather is in a hurry now.

"I understand, Grandfather," Aaron replied. While he was in training under his uncle James, Aaron noticed that his uncle James has been meeting up with the other elders in secrecy.

The elders have been making their moves, and only a stupid person can't notice such movements from them. His grandfather may have noticed their movements, but he didn't notice that James is the one pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Aaron is not sure if the elders are just good at hiding the fact that his uncle James is the ring leader of everything or his grandfather is just refusing to suspect his uncle James. Either case, Aaron will make sure that his uncle James will not have his way because this very day is the day his uncle will have to face all the consequences of his actions.

"I sure do hope that you finish everything today, son, or else, I will take over and do things my way." Arion still hasn't forgotten the deal he made with both of his children, and he sure hopes that they meet his expectations.

"Don't worry. Everything is going smoothly." Aaron said with a smirk.

Mary and Marcus were listening to their conversation and they couldn't understand a thing from it. With curiosity, Mary decided to ask. "What are you two talking about?"

"It's nothing, Mom. Just think of it as an additional show for later. It's a show that dear sister and I orchestrated." Aaron can't wait for his grandfather and mother to know everything that his uncle has been plotting.

He knows that it's going to hurt his grandfather, but it's for the best. The sooner that he knows the truth, the better it is.

"What kind of answer is that?!" Lannie, who has been focusing on what is happening on the stage, suddenly shouted with an annoyed tone. "How can she come with such a ridiculous answer?" Lannie is not the type of person who would judge a person, but after hearing the person who just answered the judges' question, she couldn't help but judge her.

"I know that it's going to be harder to come up with a good answer after Anna's, but to think she would ruin her chance to win with that kind of answer," Kyle spoke.

The person that Lannie and Kyle are talking about is the girl who is responsible for ruining Anna's chance to win by hiding the gown. Currently, she's deeply embarra.s.sed by her own answer. Even she can't believe that she came with such a stupid answer.

Ever since the final round started, her face turned very pale. She knew the moment Anna wore the gown that Alfonso Dreyar brought, is that she no longer has the chance to win. Filled with that kind of thought, she didn't manage to give a good answer to the judges.

"You know at first, she one of those best partic.i.p.ants that I've considered earlier. But now, I don't think she's one of the best. She's good at her posture and walks, but the way she answers questions is just too disappointing." Leon whispered to Anna. In the beginning, he actually thought that she would be Anna's rival in this pageant event, but base on what just happened, he thought wrong.

"Leon, stop paying attention to others and just focus on what's happening right now." To Anna's point of view, she is sure that the girl doesn't like it if other people stare at her with pity. That's why she's telling Leon to stop staring and making comments about that girl with a hint of pity.

The event went on and the judges have decided who will be the winner. Without a doubt, Anna is the one who won the crown, and as for Leon, he also won. Everything went so smoothly for them both.

"Anna! Congrats!" The moment Anna and Leon are done dressing back to their usual clothing, they suddenly got visitors. 

"Thank you." Anna warmly smiled at the two girls who came to visit her. It was not only Lannie and Nathalia who came to congratulate her, her family, her friends, and also Kyle came. Her heart is filled with joy to see that everyone that she cares about is present in one room.

"Uh. Excuse me. I also won. Why didn't I get a congratulatory greet or something." Leon acted as if he is hurt that no one came to congratulate him.

"Don't worry, bro. Josh and I will treat you some goodies." Zen said with a smile. Unlike the girls, he would rather treat his friends with food than spouting words to congratulate them.

"What am I? A kid?" For some reason, Leon felt that Zen is treating him like a kid, but in the end, he actually agreed to let Zen treat him with food. 'I wouldn't say no to free food.'

"Anna, congrats." Kyle with a warm smile on his face suddenly held Anna's hands. The moment he held her hand, he felt a sense of longing from her. He knows that it hasn't been a long time since they last saw each other, but to his heart is telling that is has been so long.

Kyle wanted to hug her, however, the mood-breaker, Anna's father suddenly pulled Kyle aside, then hugged Anna tightly. "My princess, I'm so proud of you." He said.
