REBORN: Revenge 459 Revenge 460: Only Mary Has

Even before Johan left and betrayed the group, he never once saw Alfonso show any signs of weakness in front of him. And it is somewhat his fault that he never found a thing because he never really paid too much attention to Alfonso, and he regrets that deeply.

The only weakness that he knows is Alexandre. Unfortunately, he's doesn't like to kill a harmless baby. Rather, he would like to kidnap Alexandre and train him to be his loyal dog for future's sake.

In order for that to happen is to get rid of Alfonso first, but right now is not the right time for that.

"Are you heartbroken now that you have learned that I'm working under Johan?" Reid asked with a smirk on his face.

"As if." Both Alfonso and Johan scoffed at the same time, and that surprised Reid.

"Boss! Why would you say that? You should be backing me up." Ried pouted. He felt that it was unfair of Johan to reply to the same thing that Alfonso just said at the same timing.

"Though I am not on the same side of Alfonso, that doesn't mean I will back you up when you're saying stupid things. I told you before, get close to Alfonso casually, and don't get too friendly because it makes him not to trust you. But you didn't follow my words, that's why it's 'as if'." It was no wonder why Reid couldn't find any other weaknesses of Alfonso. It's because of Reid's overly friendly att.i.tude makes Alfonso put his guards up.

"I never thought that you have these kinds of stupid people around you, Johan," Alfonso commented. For the first time, Alfonso never thought that he would agree on what Johan is saying.

Johan's tactic of putting someone to get close to him was good. But unfortunately, Johan's subordinate have another idea of his own that is why its mission is a complete failure.

"I guess was in a hurry on making my own organization from zero to what it is now that I forgot to look for proper men to work for me," Johan said with a deep sigh.

This kind of exchange of words between Alfonso and Johan is making Reid confused. Both see each other as enemies, but the way they talk to each other doesn't seem like they are enemies at all. It's friendly in his point of view.

'Well, they were once friends, maybe that is the reason why they are talking like this.' Reid inwardly said.

"Okay. Enough of this." Johan narrowed his eyes on Alfonso and he continued, "Let me ask you this, Alfonso, why didn't you say anything when my master decided to make Mary be the leader of the group? You know full well that I'm much stronger than her." Alfonso can tell that there is bitterness in Johan's tone of voice.

"I admit. You are stronger than any of us in our group, you are Master Harrison's best student in the field, but you are not worthy enough to become a leader because you don't have one thing that only Mary has out of all of us." Alfonso knows that this answer of his will trigger the anger inside Johan, but he does not care. Johan wants an answer from him, then he will give it to him.

Irritated by Alfonso's reply, Johan asked, "And what would that be? What is it that I'm lacking that only Mary has?" Deep inside, Johan knows that it's very pathetic of him to keep thinking about what happened in the past. But he could not help himself and he doesn't want to admit that it was his loss.

"You don't have the rationality of being a leader."

Johan laughed loudly when he heard that. And that laughter caused Reid to slightly panic. Whenever Johan laughs like that, it could mean trouble, and most likely, he might get involved in that trouble.

Johan breathes deeply, trying to calm himself, then he replied, "Yes. Of course, Mary does have that kind of side of her. I can never beat her in that aspect."

Alfonso looks at the time on his watch, then he looks around the surroundings. There is no sign of Johan's men around the proximity. That means that Johan is genuinely telling him that he is not attacking him tonight.

Alfonso is not even sure if he should be thankful for that or not, but one thing is for sure, his son will not be seeing him covered in blood tonight.

"Well, it's not nice seeing you tonight, but I hope you will not have a good evening." After saying that Alfonso turned around, then strides his way towards where his son and the others are.

"Alfonso, next time that we'll be seeing each other, it's not going to be like this! I will surely kill you!" Johan shouted, but as a response, Alfonso waved his hands. It's as if he is indicating that he will be ready next time.

"Boss, I'm gonna ask one last time, are you really here because you wanted to see his new designs and aggregate, and not because you missed him?" The reason why Reid is asking this is that it's weird for Johan to move around without any men hiding in places or even carry a gun on him.

To add more, Reid can't help but think that there is more to this sudden appearance of his boss to Alfonso. It's like his boss is missing his friends.

Johan glared at Reid, then he said, "I rather you not to ask me anything at all, Reid." After that, Johan left his spot, leaving Reid all alone wondering all to himself.

"Uncle Alfonso is acting weird after he finished doing what he forgot to do. What do you think happened, Kyle?" Anna asked Kyle, who is currently in her room fiddling with her phone.

When Kyle knocked on her door, asking if he could come in to spend some time with her before going to bed, Anna was nervous. The last time she was alone in a room with Kyle is when her allergies were in effect.

She wasn't feeling well at that time that she didn't mind Kyle's presence at all, but now, it's different. She thinks that she might embarra.s.s herself in front of him. However, she was thinking way too deeply into things. She and Kyle were only talking about random stuff and it was such a nice feeling.

"I don't know. But I do think that we should not ask him about what happened." Kyle got the feeling that their uncle Alfonso won't answer their question if they were to ask him. It seems like a sensitive matter.

He is curious, but he won't pry into it if his uncle doesn't want to share.

"I wish he would talk to me when he is down just like he was there for me when I was down." In these kinds of moments with her loved ones, Anna felt that she is useless. She can't even help them when they are down.

"He is closer to you than to me. I'm sure that he will come and talk to you when he's ready." Kyle flatly said to Anna. Clearly, he didn't like it when Anna is talking about another person when she is with her. 

Anna smirked at him for being like that, but she decided to drop the topic. "You're right. I'll wait patiently." She said. Then she suddenly remembered what Kyle told her yesterday night. "Where are you gonna take me tomorrow?"

Kyle turned off Anna's phone, then he faces her, "Didn't I tell you that it's going to be a surprise? I won't be much of a surprise if I told you now, right?" Seeing that excitement look on her face, Kyle has this urge to take Anna to that place right at this moment. But as much as he wants to, he will hold himself back. He wants it to be proper, exactly what he is planning for the last two days.

"Hmph! I know, but I'm just way too curious!" Anna pouted. She usually would have much patience when someone told her to wait and see, but it's about Kyle. He rarely does these types of plans. Who in the world won't be as curious as she is now? If there is, she should meet that someone, and have a talk with that person.

"You're cute. But that's not going to work on me." Kyle smirked, he stood up. "I'm going to my room now. Better not stay up late, we have a lot of things that we need to do for tomorrow."

On the other hand, Alfonso is currently having a video call with Mary. He told Mary about what he talked about with Johan earlier. And surprisingly, Mary is calm. There was no sign of any anger in her eyes.

"Mary, there is one more thing that you should know... Johan, I noticed the ring that he was wearing, and I don't think you will like it."
