REBORN: Revenge 464 Revenge 465: It's Her Faul

"Yes. I am here, and I'm sure you already know that." As Anna is saying this, she smirked at Veronica. Anna is doing this on purpose, she is taunting Veronica.

Veronica is the one who started all of this, and Anna is only being generous of finis.h.i.+ng this for her. 'Don't blame me for doing this, Veronica.' She inwardly said.

"Anna, are you done?" Veronica's two friends were shocked at the change in Kyle's voice. He sounded so cold and distant when he was talking to them and Veronica, and yet when he faces Anna he looks so calm, caring, and even sounded so sweet to her.

This sudden change of treatment makes them wonder if Veronica is telling them the truth about Kyel caring for her. But it seems to them, there is no need to ask. Kyle is already showing them the answer. The person that he really cares about is Anna, and not Veronica.

They wanted to mock Veronica for having such delusional thoughts, but they knew they could not afford to offend her. With their social standing, they could not compare themselves with Veronica's. 

Also, Veronica is already been defeated in so many standings. Anna is richer, prettier, and have all of Kyle's attention. With all of that, in what aspect can Veronica can win against Anna?

"Yes. I'm done. Do you want to leave now? But how about her? She came all the way here just to follow you. Is it really okay to leave her just like that?" Those words that came out of Anna's mouth was heard loud and clear.

Veronica's face turned pale when Anna found out what she really is doing while her friends realized that they have been dragged into this kind of a mess. They could not help but feel angry at Veronica.

'She dragged us all the way out here just to stalk Kyle?'

'Goodness! I never knew she would be like this. How pathetic.'

Sensing what Anna is trying to do, Kyle is smirking inwardly. Sometimes, this mischievous side of hers is what he really likes when it comes to these kinds of situations. "Anna, all I care about is you. I don't care if she followed me all the way here. I didn't ask her to come." 

"That so mean of you to say that, Kyle." Anna's expression tells other people that she feels bad for Veronica, but Veronica knows that is not the case. 

'She's making fun of me! How dare she!' Veronica inwardly said, then she subconsciously turned her hands into a fist.

"It's about being mean, it's about stating facts." Sure he may sound mean for saying that in front of Veronica, but she is the one who started all of this. She's the one who followed him all the way here and interrupted his time with Anna.

Those people who dare to interrupt his time with his beloved must pay. This kind of day doesn't come every day, and yet Veronica, she dared to do it.

Not allowing this shame that Anna is trying to pin her down on, Veronica started her defense, "Anna, what are talking about? I didn't come here just to follow Kyle. I came here because I wanted something new, and I'm sure that everyone wants something new once in a while, am I right?" 

Veronica is showing signs that she is desperate. She is where Anna wanted her to be.

"It's true that every once in a while everyone wants to do something new. But really, it makes me wonder if what you are saying is true. Is it really a mere coincidence that you are here while Kyle and I are also here? It might sound that I'm accusing you, but I'm wondering, did you follow Kyle all the way here? If that is the case, my, my, my, how creepy would be?" 

"On the scale of 1 to 10, it's definitely 10," Kyle replied to Anna without any hesitation.

Every people that are in this restaurant are listening to every word that Anna is spouting, some of them are now glancing at Veronica with pity in their eyes, and some of them are looking at her with ridicule and mockery.

They all think that same thing, a girl should not be following a man who is in love with somebody else because it is such a disgrace. A girl should be able to move forward and find a man who will love her back.

Veronica thinks that it's not her fault that she is in this pathetic situation, but everyone except for her thinks that she is the one who put herself in this situation. If she had just stayed put on where she was before coming here, none of this would have happened.

Veronica is about to say another sentence to defend herself, but Anna cut her off. "Oh my, look at the time. It seems like you don't have enough time to explain yourself to us. It's time for me and Kyle to get a move on."

As soon as she said that, Anna pulled Kyle and walks out of the restaurant, leaving Veronica and her friends in an embarra.s.sing situation.

All this time, Veronica's friends were playing it safe to not offend anyone who has a higher status than them, but now, it seems to them that they have offended both Anna Coleman and Kyle Robertson, and it's all because of Veronica.

Now, there are afraid that once they get home, their fathers will be lasing their anger at them. With that thought, they are in a hurry to get home now.

"I'm sorry, Veronica. But I think we're going home now. We had enough embarra.s.sment for today." Said one of her friends, and that shocked Veronica. She never thought that they will leave her just like this.

Anger rushed in, and she asks, "Why?"

Veronica's other friend frowns at her, and said, "'Why?' You're really asking that? Because of what you did, following Kyle all the way here and making Anna get angry at you, there is a chance that my father and her father will lash out on us. And before Kyle or Anna say a word to our fathers, it's better for us to go home and explain ourselves to them. So thank you very much for the trouble that you have caused."

Although they know that Veronica might make a move on them for saying all these words to her, they do not care. Compare to Veronica's family, they fear the Colemans and the Robertsons more.

Without giving Veronica the chance to say a word to them, they both left in a hurry.

After they left, the stares that are landing on Veronica have more meaning now. Because of that, the anger inside her grew intense. "Anna, you really are good at humiliating me in public."

"My mood suddenly dropped to zero." Anna suddenly declared. "You sure are one lucky guy to have someone follow you all the way out here." Sometimes, Anna just wished that Kyle wouldn't be this handsome so that no one will ever look at him but her.

Hearing that, Kyle can't help but smile. Anna is acting like this is like bliss to him. She never acted like this whenever there are girls trying to get close to him because she trusts him. But when a girl makes such a drastic move to get close to him, Anna acts like this. And he knows that it's bad for him to think like this, but he loves it when Anna is like this.

Pulling Anna closer to him, Kyle spoke, "You are right, I am lucky. I'm lucky enough to have you by my side." He said it so smoothly that Anna didn't even know what to respond to that. Whenever he says things like that, she never has the right words to say something back.

"How can you say words like that without even blinking an eye?" Anna is so embarra.s.sed to the point her face turned red, then she covered it using her tiny hands.

"Is it wrong of me to say those words? I think not." He knows that she is embarra.s.sed, but he doesn't care. All he cares about is the fact that Anna should know what he really thinks and feels about her.

Kyle took a look at the time on his watch, then he said, "Let's go. It's time for us to go 'that' place." Soon after that, he hailed a taxi cab.

It was a long ride, almost an hour ride, but during the ride, Anna didn't get bored. Kyle made sure that Anna is entertained before they arrived at their destination.

Once they have arrived, Anna was mesmerized by the beauty of the surroundings. She never thought that Kyle will bring her to this kind of place. She originally thought that he will bring to a place where there is a lot of fun things to do.

"What are we doing here?" She asked.
