You know what I dreamt of? A normal life. Like having a breakfast with my family and going to school with bread toast on my mouth then b.u.mp to a boy who will become my boyfriend someday. A cliché life a normal girl would love to have but that's just a dream for me, even the breakfast with family part.

That's right. I do have a family but when I was born, they were busy looking for a way to cure my illness. Since birth, my legs are already paralyzed and my body is so weak that I can't even lift myself up. My parents were both doctors and I have a sister who's studying to become one. I said were because on my sixteenth birthday, they died in a plane crash meeting other doctors to find a cure for my illness. That broke my heart. I didn't cry but I felt like half of my life disappeared in just one event. All the doctors have the same findings that I am healthy and no problems at all but my body doesn't say the same.

My sister didn't finish college and started looking for a job because of the hospital bills. I don't want to be a burden to my sister but she insisted. I don't want to be the reason she can't reach her dream but I can't stop her, not with this body. With my parents gone, she is the only one I have and I love her more than anything. Her name is Aurora.

Aurora took a job for an orphanage for a while but she decided to stop working. She bought a game and played it most of the time. At first, I thought, how can she pay our bills when all she does is play the game? A month later, she told me that some of the Game Company's developers want to hire her as an important a.s.set of the game. With her great power, she can defeat the strongest enemies and become the strongest player.

She became not just the strongest but also the balance of the game and introduced as the judge of the Twelve G.o.ds. Twelve different guilds rose to fight for supremacy but because of her, a war never broke out. And after that, they were called the Thirteen G.o.ds including her. Of course, they didn't make her do that for free and that's why I'm still alive and talking. I'm now eighteen years old, still lying here in a hospital bed and my sis can't even visit me because of an event in the game.

One morning, she finally visited me and brought some fruits. She knows I hate fruits yet she still brings it with her...

"Don't pout, I know you hate fruits but it's good for your health, puffy head." My sis calls me puffy head because of my thick short hair.

"I told you to stop calling me puffy head. I have a name sis, it's Zia." That's right. My name is Zia. I like my name because my dad gave it to me.

"Yeah, yeah. How about you smile a bit? I know you've missed your sis." I really missed her so much.

"In your dreams. I thought there's an event later? It's your final fight, right?" It's the final round and she will be fighting that Scythus creepy guy. They said he's a murderer but I really don't care. Sis will take care of him for sure.

"Yeah, and we will eat delicious fruits when I come back. I asked you to also try out the game. It will be a new experience for you." She asked me this a couple of times now but I can't find any reason to do so. My body is weak and I will definitely not be able to walk in the game and that would be embarra.s.sing.

"No thanks, but I will watch your game later. Good luck Sis." After some chit-chat, she decided to go back.

Around ten am, her fight started. I watched it and at first, the fight was really fun. They both exchange blows with slight injuries. The fight started to get serious and it's hard to tell who will win the fight. That Scythus guy figured out my sis special move and used it to his advantage but sis won't go down that easily. She used her second transformation. She was able to easily beat him but when she was going to use her last move, Scy transformed into some kind of monster! The screen started to get dark. I still can see what's happening but I can feel that something is wrong.

What the?! My sis, in just a blink of an eye, got stabbed! Some of the partic.i.p.ants tried to help her but that monster used a powerful spell! Half of the city was destroyed! What the h.e.l.l is going on?!

That monster fell to the ground after that spell. He used something he shouldn't. And for some reason, every single one who died in that powerful spell started to get resurrected but sis is nowhere to be found.

After that, I stopped watching and got worried. It should be my bedtime but I can't sleep. I can't settle my mind. I tried to call her but she wasn't answering her phone. And then, I finally fell asleep.

I woke up and my sis is already beside my bed. Her eyes have the sign that she cried or stayed up all night. She won the match but she feels like she didn't win. That guy must be a hacker or a cheater for using something like that. He even killed thousands of people.

"Hey sis, are you ok?" I asked worriedly.

"Yeah. Of course, I'm fine! Here are your fruits, eat a lot so you will become stronger like your sister haha." She just laughed it out. I'm just glad that she's ok. She, being with me and happy, is what all that matters to me.

"Sis, I've decided to play the game. So we could meet more and have fun." But my real reason is to beat that Scythus guy by myself. I don't know how to do it but I will find out somehow.

"That's great to hear, sis! Just wait a second." She grabbed something under my bed. It's the device to enter the game!

"I already bought one for you in case you change your mind and you did. Here it is!" She's beaming of happiness. My sis really likes the game.

"Thanks, sis. You should take it, easy. I love you."

"I love you more, puffy head."

After her visit, she decided to go back to her apartment. I also have the reason and courage to try the game now. I put it on and the bright light caught my eye.

"Choose your character's name." I heard a female mechanical voice from nowhere.

"Zia," I said.

"Zia registered."
