"It is true my boss does like you a lot and he has had plans of asking you out. Yet he is one who believes in destiny. Perhaps this meeting can be described as destiny itself, right?"
Taf surmised as the three ladies did see his logic.
'I guess." One of the other two members of Sheila's Squad interjected.
"Hmmm, how about I show you, my boss. Within a few minutes, it will be time for his walks from which he seeks enlightenment.
Usually, I would join him on these walks, but I'll be honest I would rather rest my b.u.m. You, however, would be the perfect subst.i.tute. A divine blessing from the G.o.ds as he would deem it."
Enlightened Taf spoke of a means in which his conscience would not be bothered by his meddling in his boss's affair.
"Fine.., fine she'll do it. Let's see this boss of yours."
The other squadmate eagerly urged Taf on. With a bit of annoyance displayed on his face, he pointed to a table that seated nine individuals.
Sheila fascinated by finally seeing this mysterious admirer scanned through the table noting there were five males and four females.
When seeing the four females they all seemingly carried themself with confidence with each being a beauty in their own right.
One was even exotic having silver cascading hair. This furthered her intrigue in finding this fellow. If he were to be surrounded such beauties yet fancied her. Well, he was worth finding.
She then once more scoured the five males of which two were apparently in their thirties and the other three around her age.
"Which one is he?" She curiously asked.
"Have you not heard anything I have spoken? My boss is one who always seeks enlightenment. Who would you say best fits this description?"
Taf then threw a question of his own. With his words, the three girls a.s.sessed the males until they saw one who held his hands on his chin with black hair short hair.
On his back, they saw a saber. In the description of his boss, this was one key fact that was highlighted.
Yet they felt that in comparison to the person mention this man seemingly was underwhelming. Taf took note of this, but waited a bit for things to play out further before making his move.
Sheila then revealed her inner thought, "He isn't exactly what I expected based on your description. Isn't he somewhat lacking?"
"Lacking!?
Lacking you say huh?
Listen lady are telling me that you are calling my boss lackings?
A man who surrounds himself with such people of high standing and caliber, is lacking?
Four individuals nearing the peak of the qi realm as personal friends. within the top 200 rankings is now considered lacking?
A man whose council is sought time and time again even by those of higher cultivation is somehow deemed lacking?
Really now. Hmm, the only thing I think he lacks is judgment when putting you on a pedestal as he did."
Taf fumed while defending his boss's honor which caused Sheila and her squadmates to once more take a second glance.
"Maybe I was too quick in my judgment." Sheila apologized to Taf who had refused even the most basic of eye contacts. Evidently shunning her for previous words.
"You're d.a.m.n right!" Taf continued by saying still avoiding eye contact which seemingly had Sheila feeling a bit aggrieved. All she did was utter a few words out loud that was not to his liking.
Fearing he might truly leave this time she hurriedly stated,
"Ok, I would like to meet this boss of yours. Could you perhaps do the honors of introducing me?"
With this, a glimmer could be seen in the eyes of Taf as feigned a look of inner conflict.
"Hmmm, I guess I could do." He then slowly came around by saying. He then took to his feet eying the three ladies,
"Here are a few qi stones to help with the bill." He uttered putting another smaller pouch on the table of curious girls.
Then with Sheila by his side, he made his way over to a table which seated nine. Seeing the newcomers there was only silence as they looked at their pouches on the center of the table.
"Everyone this is Sheila, a friend I just made."
Taf then introduced Sheila to the stunned group who soon felt the need to weep. Their reactions were a little startling to Sheila who noticed her introduction was like a death announcement.
"Hi, Sheila nice to meet you."
May was the first to respond as she greeted with a smile before the next joined in. As they greeting Taf gave Lovren wink as a mean of a hint.
Yet, Lovren was so nervous he didn't know what to do with himself. He felt his body awash with cold sweat as he recalled the note given to him by Taf. Inside his mind, lovren shouted,
'Calm down! Calm down! You have killed a man for crying out loud this is nothing. It's simple, just take a look at the note.'
'Sheila this is my awesome boss which I told you about, he is called Lovren." With Taf words Sheila subconsciously blushed evidently flushed by all the staring eyes.
Lovren, however, was still struggling to find his composure, losing the look which Taf requested previously.
"Boss, I am not feeling quite well so I am sorry, but I will not be able to accompany you on our usual walks."
Taf then coughed as he now spoke directly to Lovren. Yet truly he was fuming inside because as of yet he has seen Lovren set himself to say the words on the parchment.
Cough! Cough!
Finally, Lovren seemingly came to the fold,
"That is indeed unfortunate, yet ones well being should be of utmost importance.
Your presence will be missed as I oftentimes feel the need to reflect on my insights, yet now there isn't anyone to accompany me."
He uttered somewhat at a lost after speaking and was startled to find it was not Taf that responded but Sheila. In fact, the whole table nearly spat out their beverages,
"I.., I don't mind accompanying you." She shyly spoke as her words made Lovren lose the last shred of composure.
"Ok let's go." He hurriedly pushed Luke out of the way as Taf could only sigh in his head.
Idiot!
"It was nice meeting you all."
Sheila smiled as the two made their way to the exit. At the table, all Taf's comrades could not believe what they witness. They look at Taf who had a smirk displayed on his face.
Hehe!
"...and that my friends is how it is done." He then took a bow.
You Monster!!!
