Chapter Ch101.2 - Sword

The iron plating was soaked through with sweat, and the clouds outside faded into the mist.
The iron armor and chainmail that limited Wu Jin’s movements at first slowly became blunt swords that integrated with his blade. The youth finally broke free of the shackles, grasping his sword devoutly and following every single one of his instructor’s commands.
Wei s.h.i.+ finally nodded.
He lifted his sword up into a block in front of him and gestured for Wu Jin to chop down as hard as he could––
The score flashed and refreshed, 3.5/5. Qualified.
The virtual scene disappeared, revealing the training room’s original appearance. The velvet curtains were raised high up, and there were shallow Rococo reliefs on the walls.
The big boss seemed to be smiling.
Wu Jin panted for breath, the boiling blood surging to his brain. He pushed back his messy hair casually, his eyes tracing eagerly over his uniformed instructor. His lips moved slightly and he said vaguely, “Like this… am I qualified enough to be your knight…”
The corner of Wei s.h.i.+’s mouth ticked up slightly before he looked solemn again, “Lacking a sword ceremony.”
Wu Jin opened his eyes wide as burning hot palms and hands removed the complicated iron plates. The youth was peeled out layer by layer like a zongzi––
Wei s.h.i.+: “A knighthood sword ceremony.”
Wu Jin immediately straightened his chest.
Wei s.h.i.+: “Before that, we need to test the knight’s character.”
The scarecrow target reappeared, and Wu Jin picked up the sword out of conditioned reflex.
Wei s.h.i.+: “Brave.”
Wu Jin suddenly attacked, force travelling through his arm as he performed a chop, slicing out with the lines of his blade.
Wei s.h.i.+: “Loyal.”
The instance changed, and numerous targets swarmed out. Wu Jin didn’t hesitate to change his stab to a sweep, clearing out a fan-shaped safe zone around the big boss, but he didn’t have enough time to worry about the enemies behind him––
Wei s.h.i.+ pulled out his sword and guarded Wu Jin’s back.
Wei s.h.i.+: “Generous, righteous.”
The instance changed again. This time, the scarecrow targets changed to a knight that wore a costume similar to Wu Jin’s. The youth took a step and used a blunt blow to avoid his opponent’s vital points like a strong and compa.s.sionate fencer until the figure of his opponent disappearedk2013;k2013;
The projection disappeared.
The youth turned sideways and looked at Wei s.h.i.+ with his crystal clear eyes. He held the cross-shaped sword tightly in his hand, and it seemed that he wouldn’t be afraid of anything that appeared.
Wei s.h.i.+ looked at him and finally said the last word:
“Romantic.”
Wu Jin paused. The military boots struck the thick flooring as the man came straight to him, swooping down like a shadow. The youth raised up his neck and suddenly leaned forward––
There was a clang as the two swords collided. Wu Jin stumbled over and pressed against the man’s thin lips, attempting a clumsy kiss. However, he was soon swallowed down by the hot temperature, his initiative s.n.a.t.c.hed away. Wei s.h.i.+ mercilessly swept in around the youth’s mouth, his hands brutally intertwining with Wu Jin’s fingers.
The youth whimpered, his sword slipping out of his damp palm as his eyelashes quivered, his eyes closing.
Like a milk candy peeled out of its wrapper.
The man was finally no longer satisfied with mere licking. The roughened fingers slid along the pure black training uniform and along the waist to dig in, moving at will around the taut waist and abdomen of the youth.
Wu Jin was shocked into trembling, the most sensitive key point from his dance practice days was expertly controlled. He fell powerless for a second before struggling within the man’s arms. Physiological tears flowed out uncontrollably due to pleasure, and was soon swept away by the man’s covetous tongue. His waist felt a little hot and seemed to be pressed against a place––
The harsh bell that signaled the end of cla.s.s rang out abruptly.
Wu Jin was like a rabbit who’d suddenly been caught and held up by his long ears. His small curls quivered, and he started to turn red from behind his ears all the way to his cheeks.
The callused fingers paused and were no longer as ruthless, s.h.i.+fting to stroke appeasingly over the top of the youth’s head and covering the ears that had been hurt by the harsh bell.
The bell stopped.
“Afraid?” Wei s.h.i.+’s voice was hoa.r.s.e, carrying a strong sense of arousal. His fingertips rubbed reluctantly over the place on Wu Jin’s neck that had once carried his teeth marks.
Wu Jin looked down in a daze as though he’d just been scared by something.
Then, he realized where his vision was aimed and raised his eyes up to meet the big boss’s stormy ones.
Wu Jin’s head turned away with a swish, then turned back right away, “No, I didn’t…”
Wei s.h.i.+ looked at the little fool in his arms and bent over to whisper in his ear, “Stretch out your hand.”
Wu Jin was in a trance as he stretched out his right hand.
The man covered his palm with his and slowly pulled him in. Wu Jin’s eyes became bigger and bigger, his breathing faster and faster. The youth was extremely tense, his blood almost reaching the boiling point. He panted hard, his heart beating fiercely as he tried to suppress the abnormal behavior of his body.
He continued to suppress it, tried hard to suppress it.
In the end, he was caught off guard and unable to resist––
Wu Jin cried out softly and hiccuped.
Wei s.h.i.+: “……”
Ten minutes later, Wu Jin was dazed as he took a shower, feeling that he’d already turned into a useless trainee.
The youth beneath the shower was like a standard beat metronome, or a little blue whale that regularly spouted out water.
After dawdling for a long time, he actually still managed to come out of the bathroom earlier than the big boss.
The man came out wrapped in a bath towel. He changed s.h.i.+rts from the closet in the training room as he responded to a communication with a simple, “I know. Yes, it starts in the evening.”
……
Wu Jin only noticed now that he could see traces left behind by the big boss everywhere in the training room.
A well-fitted s.h.i.+rt, a training record that was practically filled with full scores that went back as far as six years ago––other than Wu Jin’s pitiful 3.5 points, everything was marked as ‘h.e.l.l difficulty’ and ‘Perfect clearance’.
This was the big boss’s private training room.
After realizing this point, Wu Jin immediately pretended to be casual as he walked over to the weapons rack and snuck around the various sword hilts.
The man raised his eyebrows, “Back away.”
The mechanism behind the weapon rack clanged, and Wu Jin jumped back. A second row of weaponry appeared––sharp light swords, heavy swords with blood grooves, slender spear guns, and paired daggers of varying lengths.
The blades glinted coldly beneath the light, like real tools used for cutting.
Wei s.h.i.+ picked one out and handed it to Wu Jin.
The knight who’d pa.s.sed the examination was finally awarded with a sword.
The youth raised his face as he accepted it, his hand grasping it firmly for a moment.
The handle for this sword was heavier than the one he’d used for training. Wei s.h.i.+ turned and covered his hand to correct his grip, “A knight’s sword has a crossguard between the handle and the blade that protects the hand holding the sword.”
“––Also, the cross has religious significance.” The man gestured for Wu Jin to wrap his index finger around the hilt, “Before going into the battlefield, knights would engrave a golden verse onto the hilt and be blessed by a sacrifice. The hilt of every knight’s sword is engraved differently, because the belief that drives them to fight is different.”
Wu Jin suddenly lifted his head and looked at Wei s.h.i.+, “If it’s my sword…”
Wei s.h.i.+: “Hm?”
Wu Jin blushed and shut up.
The youth happily accepted the sword and was soon bouncing and jumping around once again. Wei s.h.i.+ watched him stroll innocently and frivolously around the training room until he made himself hungry from playing around.
There was 10 minutes before meal time ended at the Floating training base.
Wu Jin immediately came back to his senses, picked up his coat and wanted to rush out when he was suddenly handed a white mask by the big boss.
The man put on his coat, picked up his car keys, and gestured for Wu Jin to follow him, “We’ll go out to eat.”
The youth jumped up with a squeal and disappeared into the misty night with the man.
The suspension car sped through the tall buildings and finally came to a stop in front of a night market.
The smell of sweet and fragrant fried food drifted out from the alley entrance. A couple held hands as they sat on a stone bench, nibbling at a handheld wrap.
Wu Jin noticed the wrap and stared so hard his eyes almost fell out of their sockets.
The two of them got out of the car, and Wu Jin immediately looked at the other side of the street with bright eyes. He looked back at Wei s.h.i.+, and the meaning in his gaze was clear.
The man nodded to express his understanding and slowly stretched his hand out from beneath his cloak, then held Wu Jin’s hand in public, just like the couple delivering dog food from the opposite side.
“Satisfied? Hm?”
Juurensha: Awwww cute, a night market date, with wraps for Little Witch. Also hahaha, poor Little Witch, you’re going to have to figure out how to stop hiccupping.
xiin: WS is so smooth with these dates… and yessss WJ ended up in hiccups from feeling WS’s ‘sword’…
