His thoughts pulled back when one of the Eunuch announced the arrival of the ladies in waiting. He yawned lazily, but when he saw someone familiar, he suddenly sit straight, felt energized and excited.

He saw one of the lady, running fast to catch up in the line. She came late and just stood in line at the back where no one could noticed. Her hair was not properly groomed and she was looking down instead of walking in posture.

He felt amused by looking at her. She's very different, and that her manners seems to say, "this is for the sake of my appearance, I am not interested at all". True to what she might be thinking, she does not even care about her posture.

Ladies should walked with their chin slightly up and their back tilted as part of proper walking etiquette but she was walking like a hunchback, she's not even aware that the one in front of her already stopped, she b.u.mp her head at her back.

"What are you doing?" the lady hissed at her. She apologized and wave the lady to ignored her.

Watching the scene makes him grinned like an idiot."You really dead now!" He could not believe that he finally found her, after a long plan on how he would turn the whole city upsidedown, just to find her. Instead, she actually showed up on her own.

He is certain that it was her! even if she turns to ashes he will still recognized her. He took a glanced to the Prime minister's side. He was frowning and his gazed was on the lady at the back. 

No doubt about it, He suddenly felt excited. "You will never get away from me, I'll make sure to that!" He smiled.

The ladies were almost finished with their boring Introductory speeches, He did not listened nor get any slight interest in anything about them, he don't even remember their names and which family they came from.

He was waiting for her and only for her. ! finally it was her turn, she seems to be lost somewhere that her maid had to pulled her dress slightly to inform her that it was her turn.

She was half walking, half running dragging her feet like zombie. When the other ladies learned what she's doing, they laughed under their breath even he himself could not help it.

When she almost reached, she clumsily stripped off in the carpet and fell down like a toad. His Majesty and the Prime Minister almost got up from their seats to help her but she get up immediately and fix herself. 

Even though she was embarra.s.sed she still manage to gained herself back. There was a traced of apology in her face but he's not certain for whom it was meant, he noticed that she avoids to take a glanced on either the Prime Minister or His majesty.  

They all broke in laughters. 

"Im so. .sorry Your majesty!" She stuttered. 

His Majesty almost give a sneer in shocked when he saw her. .there was a red spot all over her face. "What on earth is going on?" he heard his father muttered.

She suddenly widen her eyes in surprised when finally she noticed him sitting beside His Majesty.

"That annoying look in her eyes. .again!" His brows raised.

She look down again while occasionally taking a glance towards him. "Disguising yourself into an ugly shrewd won't concealed you, you are still clumsy and stupid. !" He frowned and went down.

He did not bother to look any of the ladies. He stopped directly where she was standing. Her faced was full of red spots and its bigger on a closer look, but her hands was still fair and white as a lotus. .she suddenly pulled her sleeves to conceal her disguised.

He wondered where did she get those stuffed, she used to decorate her face. her dress was also familiar to him, she probably steal it somewhere in the palace since there's no time for her to changed after being drowned in the lake. . rise from the dead and finally, disappeared with out a trace. .

"Why its you, again?" She hissed."What are you doing here?"

"What do you think?" He answered."You look like a mushroom in a pot" he barked a soft laughter.

"Careful. .I might stung you!" She said grimly.

" Fù huáng. !" He turns toward His Majesty "I decided to proceed as we planned!" he pointed at her. "I will only have her, only her. !"

"tàizǐ diànxià! You have to choose another ladies to be your concubine!" Minister of finance appealed.

He smirked. This old man is really cunning! he knew, one of the ladies in waiting is his daughter. wait until im going to investigate you! He thought. "Xu tara, I already choose one, I won't add nor changed!"

There was finality in his voice. He heard, all the Ministers exchanged different opinions and a sighed of disappointment from the other ladies but he doesn't care at all.

He looked into her face to see her reaction. . Instead of being happy, she was rather shocked and disappointed, as if she lost a fortune!

"Hao! Hao!" His Majesty got up happily. "Ching'er already choose his consort, we will proceed as plan!" His majesty dismissed everyone before the Crown Prince would throw an argument and later, end up on nothing. 

His Majesty knew his son very much, the more he's pressured the more stubborn he becomes. Its already hard to make him agreed on this matter and someone will just spoil his plan. 

Its true that he's the Emperor, the sovereign leaders, but how he will manage to make his sovereignty peaceful if he could not even tame his own son and make peace in his own family? Peace should always begins at home! his late father had always reminded him on that. 

"And I found someone to tame this wild son on my stead!" He said while taking a glance to his niece before leaving.

"You!" Her faced darken.

"Do you think I forget you?" He smiled sweetly. "You best hide yourself properly, even if you turned into ashes, I could still recognized you!" He wink at her.

Her face flushed with anger. she was crumpling the side of her dress to control her emotion. Making her mad to death makes him happy, he doesn't know why but he found it really amusing.

He saw all the ladies thrown a sullen look at her back.

"You're not scared I will kill you?" She clenched her hands tightly, scared she might lost her sanity and beat the h.e.l.l out of him.

"Don't be careless. ." He whispered softly at her ears. " Threatening  me would make you lost your precious head, even before you take one step. better save it to yourself, I'll be waiting!"

He walks out, leaving her stunned. 

She's clumsy, bold, daring and straightforward, that's what made her so cute, He smiled.

He suddenly touch his lips. .he blushed when he realized Yu'er was looking at him.

"You grinned like an idiot!" Yu'er teased him before running far away from him.

"What?"
