She was just a few meters away from her grandfather's mansion when she noticed that the light was on. Did his father hire a caretaker? It's been a while since she came to this place so she didn't expect that the mansion would be well kept as it was before. Such a comfort seeing the same sunflower garden his grandfather built for her grandmother. Just looking at it now made her tears trickle as the thought of him giving away her granddaughter to some stranger sank into her thoughts once again.
"I hate you grandpa!" she whispered in between sobs then let out a painful cry.

Brandon Chiu was just about ready to go to bed when he heard the sound of an engine not far from the mansion he now owns. He frowned thinking who this unwelcome intruder be.
He had dreamed of owning this mansion since he was young. He had fond memories of the owner who happens to be his father's friend. Her father and mother married late. His father had been in love with a woman in his youth but the woman loved another man and married that man instead. That other man was his best friend. He was so heartbroken that he was not able to love for the next 3 decades until his mother came. She had a lovely smile every man would be mesmerized and had a very kind spirit. She was 37 years old when she fell in love with his quiet 48-year-old dad. They thought they wouldn't have a child and had dreamed of blissful years together, but she got pregnant with him 2 years later and died of childbirth the following year.
He had lived here for a while during his younger years but has to leave because of the old man. Thinking about it made him smile, as it gave way for him to earn proper education, only to frown because years later he would find out what that sly man and his father agreed upon.
This made him go back to reality and the red sports car now parked beside his black one. He turned and went downstairs to take a look just who is in his front door.
