Reo smiled as he got up remembering that low level pills recipe can be made by scanning all the books in the library. He thought that the database can do that for both the inscription patterns and the cultivation technique. This could also help him solve the holy dark gra.s.s problem if he researched about. And so reo spent about a week to fully finish all the low level books that was available to him and he even finished the mid level books for inscription patterns. The database was really awesome it was able to automatically compile all the broken recipe and restructure them base on what it learnt. He had found out many recipes lost and not used anymore which was modified by the system to be usable for various effects.

Reo thought that he must become a alchemist since he got so many new recipes that can bring about major change in Glory City so he went ahead to the alchemist a.s.sociation.

Reo finally arrived at the a.s.sociation Entrance. This is a grand building with enormous coverage in a centralized location where the alchemists of Glory city send the results of their research. If the research is found to be credible it will be compiled into a book, which is then distributed to every known alchemist. Most of the ancient knowledge of alchemy has been lost so this is necessary to try to advance the craft. The a.s.sociation is only 2nd in power after the Three Great Families. So reo went inside and applied for the apprentice exam to Xiao Lan who was the receptionist at the a.s.sociation.

She asked him for the entrance fee of 200 Demon Spirit Coins for the primary apprentices.h.i.+p , but reo rejected and said he was going to do the senior level for apprentice rank and gave the coinswhich he didn't lack since he's the Young Master of the Divine family.

There was 2 tests in order to become an alchemist which was a written test and pill concocting. The written test was a breeze since he had the database show him all the answers he needed and solved all the problems for him. The problem was in pill concocting since this was the first time he was going to do it and it also was at senior level. He sat Down near the herbs and was thinking how he should proceed.

Just when reo was doubting himself he heard the system lifesaving Grace and started using the system to finish the tests. The system was really helpful and was easier to make pills and faster then the average time , so reo finally finished the tests and was taken to elder hu shuo who was the elder council member because reo was the youngest senior apprentice in the a.s.sociation. Reo was then congratulated and awarded with a grey alchemist rode , a badge stating his rank as an alchemist and access to the books of intermediate ranks in the a.s.sociation. Reo then had some small talk with the elder before he departed from the a.s.sociation.

He was happy about getting the exp needed which raised it to 660 exp and then went back to his courtyard to train his body and soul force which would later on help build his foundation.

Later that day at night he receive a call to meet the patriarch from a servant. Reo was wondering why his father a strict man would call for him , but keeping that thought aside he went to check since he was his father after all .

Reo went to the main meeting hall where his father was and to his surprise he found out a few elders and his brother were also in the hall discussing something. Reo's father saw him and call him to come forward. Zhenlong knew his son was timid so he called out for him and made him come forward.

Reo saw that everyone was looking at him and were smiling with joy at him. The family normally thought that Chen Reo won't make as much of a fighter or demon spiritualist like his brother or father. But they never knew reo was a talent at alchemy and he just got an senior apprentices.h.i.+p in alchemy if it weren't for the elder Hu Shuo telling them and saying how reo was a talent of 1 out 1000 in alchemy they wouldn't believe their own eyes. Zhenlong first hugged his son and told him that he was happy that his son had a high talent at alchemy .

Reo thought he would have a hard time convincing his father to remove the restriction but he was immediately granted access to all the books and manuals except for a few secret ones.

Zhenlong then arranged for a little celebration in the family and the night fully went with people congratulating reo for his achievement and were in high praise of him. Reo finally got tired after everything was over and went over to rest and sleep for the night at his courtyard.
