On the third day in this strange new world, I woke up as soon as the sun lit up my room.
After gently manoeuvring my way from the sleeping hero, the first thing I did was check my notifications.
[Share a Bed Rank C: 2000*3 = 6000 PT]
I dropped my shoulders, feeling crestfallen. It seemed like I accidentally did something three times last night.
“I-I'm sure I slept carefully… How weird.”
Shortly after, I fixed the hero's blanket and left the room.
Of course I was thankful for the ample PT, but my heart couldn't take it. Guilt dug away at my thoughts, spiraling out of control.
However, I didn't want to give up sleeping on the bed. Somehow, I shoved away my worries in one shot. Since this world was connected to the "Miniature Garden Life" phone application, the "Share a Bed" task and reward might be part of the application's support system. Or, it could be a bug. Most likely, G.o.d would do something about it.
Though G.o.d had been quiet recently. He hadn't contacted me since the last time.
After changing my clothes in the bathroom, I drew the daily amount of well water and then started chopping the firewood.
However, as soon as I gripped the axe, I felt my strength slipping away.
Somehow, I didn't feel motivated. Checking the home screen, I found my energy bar full. My physical strength had only reduced by the amount required to draw the well water.
I lay flat on the table, feeling worn out for a while. Then I fiddled with my smartphone, before heading for the front door, there to pick up the things sent to the delivery box.
As soon as I opened the box, I picked up a fragrant scent.
“Ah, it smells good. Looks delicious too.”
Golden-brown slices of toast, bright yellow scrambled eggs, and breakfast sausage with a side of gravy. After I set them on the table, just one look and my spirit recovered.
I spread b.u.t.ter on a slice of toast and placed some eggs and sausages on top. After adding mustard and ketchup, what's left to do was bite into it.
Delicious! G.o.d's delivery was the best!
Considering the recovery effect from these food items, it would have been a waste to consume them in the morning when I was still at full strength. That's why I tried to skip breakfast. But it's impossible. Especially since I was used to eating three meals a day before getting stranded in this place.
Stop! There's no point in stressing myself out with no breakfast just to save a little PT. From now on, I should eat well in the morning, have a nice cup of coffee, and then face on the rest of the day.
Speaking of wasting money, I discovered earlier this morning that I had been doing so in another sense.
Plates, eating utensils, and condiments that came together with the delivered food remained after I consumed said food. And they could all help me save money. That's because now I would just need to buy the raw materials to cook meals instead of throwing a chunk of money to buy pre-cooked meals.
By the way, I received some recipes this morning.
After obtaining those recipes, I could find them on my “Miniature Garden Life” screen. When I opened the drink menu, I could select an item: orange juice. It seemed like since I bought an orange earlier, I met the requirements to unlock this drink.
Once I selected it, a juice squeezer and a fruit knife were sent to my delivery box.
I should be able to squeeze the orange with this.
And after I did so, the items remained.
There's enough orange juice for exactly one cup. I felt like one orange would give me more juice in my original world, but this was still understandable compared to the illogical kitchen garden.
The moment I took a sip, I heard the familiar sound of a notification.
