Speaking of its lifespan, I guess this connection can be maintained for over a few thousand years and used as long as there is enough supply of energy…"

"What are you saying? This was due to Master Hexena leaving a hex on the location in case the connection got severed by the spatial storms. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to find it."

Evelynn's ears turned crimson. She trembled like steam was coming off from her head before she pounced on Davis and gave him a pa.s.sionate kiss. Her soft lips were enveloped in a world of love and affection, allowing Davis to enter nirvana while still being alive.

After the intimate exchange, Davis brought Evelynn back to the Mortal Hex Emperor Purple Palace.

They stayed and had fun with the entire family.

Ernest Loret and Timi Yael, his half-brother and half-sister, were overjoyed with his return as they cared about him the most among his half-siblings. The latter was even easygoing and didn't treat him like he was the Emperor of Death but her own brother, making Davis truly feel she was his sister.

She was his favorite among his half-siblings, while he felt like he could leave the responsibilities to Ernest Loret as he was quite earnest, like his name. He was a responsible person who also cared about the family.

Nonetheless, he also went outside and cracked a hot tea with the Mandate Emperor and the Karmic Guardian Emperor, apologizing for behaving quite pompously because of running out of time.

They didn't seem to mind and instead said that was the heaven-given right of an expert, causing Davis to laugh.
