Davis turned to look at the other side, still keeping his bright smile before he faced straight and raised his brows.

"You're going to release me or what?"

Saintess Lunaria heaved a breath.

She waved her hand, deactivating the immense amount of energy in the chains, causing the six chains to lose their l.u.s.ter.

The chains came loose from Davis, allowing him to pat his robe before a figure appeared beside him and used life energy to heal his shoulders, which seemed to have bled from being crushed a bit.

However, Davis simply smiled at Myria, who seemed she was about to cry, and held her hand, turning around to leave.

They walked away a few steps, causing the Void Dust Empress to look as though she wanted to say something.

She didn't want this kind of situation to unfold, but everything had gone past her, making her think if he would still accept his daughter or hurt her.

"Whatever's stopping you from killing me…?

But before she could say anything, Saintess Lunaria's voice echoed out.

He pointed right at her face, appearing livid.

"A Saintess whom I respected trapped me, threatening my life, which… I could suffice as we could've talked like adults, but you went for the kill purely out of fear, and you still fear me, asking such questions. Ha!"

He scoffed, "Would I kill you? I can't. Would I kill you if there was nothing stopping me? I probably wouldn't because I still understand the reason behind your actions, and you didn't harm my people, so all is good but I would never look at you the same. All the respect you earned from me, poof- there... gone…"

Davis raised his hand and spread his palm, appearing frustrated as he stared at his empty palm before glaring at her beautiful face, which turned into something so dislikeable.

Saintess Lunaria's voice fell, stopping Guardian Zera Nullheart from going on an emotional outburst.

He uttered with clenched teeth at the end, full of hate, before turning around to leave after taking Myria's hand again.

Saintess Lunaria trembled.

She had never been… humiliated this much in her entire life, yet she couldn't find any answer to retaliate. However, the humiliation wasn't the problem. It was... shame. She could only see Davis and Myria, who had almost exited the palace but were now standing on a vast greenery spreading throughout the horizon. She was also standing on the same scenery, causing her heart to shake.
