Chapter 4065 Traversing To The Tribulation Site
Illumina took the initiative to hire a transport to leave this town. They didn't want anyone to trace them back to this place as it might reveal that their hideout was nearby. Since Illumina was also capable of concealment, she hid her cultivation base to the Immortal Emperor Stage.
Everyone thought she was a fey and didn't think she was an Empyrean Beast.
Myria nodded in approval at her flawless disguise. Together, they flew out of the Hollow Fang Town and headed to another place a few cities away. From there, they planned to leave with their Empyrean Grade Flying Boat, which was way faster than this Immortal Emperor Grade Palace they were traveling in.
Accurately, it wasn't a flying palace but a palace anch.o.r.ed on a feral beast turtle.
Myria saw that it was a Jadesh.e.l.l Cloud Turtle, a well-known wind-attributed feral beast, one of the many tamed feral beasts that was used for transporting since they didn't use much energy for flying. It wasn't particularly strong, but its bloodline allowed it to reach the Immortal Emperor Beast Stage with some difficulty. They were traveling on one such old turtle that was a Level Four Immortal Emperor Feral Beast.
It seemed tame and used to transport people around as its temperament was calm and collected. From this, Myria knew it was fed well.
"To think that town was made up wolf and serpent n.o.bilities instead of same old humans. Even most of the town folk were magical beasts. As expected, this is really a realm owned by the magical beasts."
Inside the palace that hosted thousands of travelers, Myria and the other three shared one chamber for the duration of the travel.
At this moment, Vereina voiced her opinion and appeared to be bemused.
She then looked at Myria, Lereza, and Illumina and blinked. She remembered all three of them were said to be from here originally. They belonged to the true immortal world, and she was the only one out of place.
It made her smile like a fool.
"Indeed, the feral and magical beast population is higher in realms owned by magical beasts." Lereza answered, "You could say the human race's presence is no more than thirty-five or forty percent here, most of them happening to be feys due to the long-term peace between all three races but mostly the magical beast race and the human race within the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy. The rest are mostly feral beasts and magical beasts. The feral beasts are mostly treated as a labor force and looked down upon even by the magical beasts, but that's how most societies work. Even in the human cities, those who have weak bloodlines or talent are looked down upon."
"That is true." Illumina nodded, not denying Lereza's words.
"The population is mostly based on who is ruling the realm. People tend to migrate based on who they wish to come under or simply because their attributes are more compatible with a particular realm. The Ghostly Crow Lower Realm mostly accommodates those who cultivate darkness and yin energy."
"I see." Vereina nodded, "That's great. I a.s.sume we can all use darkness energy. No one will find it strange."
"I can't use it." Lereza responded, "I'm a fey between a spirit and a magical beast. I'm practically limited like a magical beast and spirit to my current set of Laws."
"Woah… it's my first time seeing a fey between a magical beast and a spirit."
Vereina gawked at Lereza, taking a good look at her once again.
Lereza waved her black-green hair with a flick of her hand proudly, "I don't mind. Go ahead and admire this exquisite beauty of mine~"
"…"
Vereina gave a second look with raised brows before she giggled and began to b.u.t.ter her up.
Myria saw the young ones interact with a smile before she turned to look at Illumina. She sent a soul transmission.
"I haven't really formed a bond of trust with you, nor did I have the opportunity to interact with you as you tried to become everyone's maid, but I hope I can trust you for the remainder of the journey, Illumina."
"I'll do my best to make you trust me, Mistress Myria." Illumina's voice was solemn.
"Myria is fine. Personally, I have some questions since Davis seems to be unconditionally trusting you, even having gifted you the diluted Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill, which boosted your prowess. To know your exact relations.h.i.+p, l hope you will answer some of my questions, which will put me at ease."
"Of course, Mistress Myria."
"…"
Myria felt a ludicrous amount of duty from this rabbit's voice. It was unbelievable.
She felt it was no wonder Davis chose to trust her. She believed he wouldn't be fooled, especially with Heart Intent capable of knowing their emotions.
Ellia created a technique to fool Heart Intent, but even that could only go so long. It wouldn't be able to fool Davis's Level Two Obscure Intent of Enigmatic Heart Laws so easily. She doubted it would. No one tried to block Davis from knowing their emotions anyway. None of the wives wished that he shouldn't feel them through emotions so they could become one with him in emotions.
They had personally experienced the resonance of Heart Intent, after all. It allowed the users to even communicate intent with ent.i.ties that cannot speak except Vacuous Beasts, which were mindless.
Thinking of Ellia, Myria could only wonder what her daughter was up to. She had been really quiet ever since they settled in the Second Void Dust Sanctuary. If she guessed right, then she felt Ellia might give a surprise.
'That girl is surprisingly a genius who can think outside the generalities…'
Myria inwardly giggled with pride.
Nonetheless, she continued asking Illumina questions to know more about her and her past.
There was no way she could not be vigilant around a near-peak Empyrean existence who was acting too humble! She would've found it way easier to relax if Illumina had been one of her sisters, which meant Davis's woman, but she wasn't.
Therefore, she wanted to know more about Illumina to see if she was worthy of Davis and if she could trust her during this expedition.
Half a day later, they crossed multiple cities and from the city they alighted in, they left to the outskirts and then made their journey to one of the places in this realm that seemed to be abandoned using the Empyrean Grade Flying Boat Davis gave them.
The Ghostly Crow Lower Realm had enough security on the highways, so they didn't meet with many bandits.
The crows were like the rulers of the skies, having made many adjustments to flight paths since many of their brethren had been killed in accidents during many types of flights. To bring a lot more security, they personally created flight paths that cannot be infringed upon due to the barriers placed around them.
This was also home to a lot of flying-type magical beasts, so this move earned them a lot of praise and approval, not that they needed it.
However, the rulers here seemed to be mostly benevolent even though they were known to be arrogant.
A few hours later, Myria and the other finally arrived at their destination. It was called the Bloodied Rocky Plains, once the site of a tremendous battle between hundreds of Empyreans but now a wasteland that was deemed unsuitable for cultivation due to the lack of heaven and earth energy here as well as blood poison that was harmful to all kinds of beings.
But to Vereina, Lereza, and Illumina, this wasn't a problem since their prowess was at the Empyrean Stage.
The same could be said about Myria since she possessed life energy to drive away the blood poison.
Once they were here, they could see a lot of dark crimson puddles, even rivers. It appeared to be a gruesome battle, to say the least.
"Illumina, set up a mirage around this area. Even if people want to get near after noticing the tribulation somehow, they should not be able to near us easily, much less see us. If possible, create a maze that leads them around, but don't set up the mirage to be sky-encompa.s.sing as it would interfere with the tribulation."
"Yes, my lady~"
Illumina obeyed without a hint of complaint, considering the huge task of creating an illusion over a widespread area of land, which should be very difficult to accomplish.
Myria was heartened, but she wasn't surprised since she had commanded this, knowing that Illumina would be able to accomplish this feat. After all, Illumina was a Nethermoon Mirage Rabbit, a species that was seen in Upper Realms as they had migrated from the Nether Dimension long ago or vice versa, which she couldn't tell.
They were known for their ability to conceal and cast illusions and made for great a.s.sa.s.sins with their species technique— Myriad Body Cascade, which allowed them to create over an unknown number of dark yet illusory bodies that lasted up to three days while carrying a percentage of their strength.
Due to this factor, they were hunted down to extinction. After all, they were a resource for creating avatars.
In the Empyrean Stage, almost all avatar techniques became useless since fusions happened between the vessels or similar factors, which forced cultivators to make their own avatar techniques. It needed to accommodate their cultivations to a fine degree if they wanted to replicate themselves into an avatar, whether it was a fleshly avatar or a soul avatar.
Myria was hoping to research the Solitary Soul Avatar Technique into Empyrean Grade as well, but she didn't have time for that, she could certainly see how Illumina's species technique may prove to be insightful.
Without wasting a single moment, Illumina got to work as she thoroughly scouted the region with her senses, finding no one before she began to set up a large-scale mirage.
