Chapter 4103 Gaining More Powerhouses
King and the others felt a hint of pressure and urgency building up in them. Their next words might decide their future, and they did have some time to think about it.
"Boss, I'm always with you. My aspirations may be to return to that place, but ultimately, I think following you will bring me more benefits." Azbel chuckled.
His words instantly made the others want to speak.
"As long as you can provide me with heavenly lightning after I earn enough contribution points, I will join you," Raks.h.i.+ra said quickly.
"It matters not that we are hunted. You saved this fleeting life of mine when it was supposed to end in that realm. I will join your cause to repay this favor. It doesn't matter if I were to die in the process." Wougen's voice boomed.
He appeared to have a firm Will and a no-bulls.h.i.+t stance.
"Indeed. Count me in." Reian Stargazer said calmly.
"We have nowhere to go. I certainly don't. If you will take me in, then my loyalty belongs to you." Pazudu smiled lightly.
"You know I'm with you." Yufella shot a charming smile at him.
"I won't listen to you, but I'll join you." Skylia harrumphed as she looked away.
Shax, Gralex, and Shentu promised their loyalty to him, which is similar to what Pazudu said.
Davis finally gazed at King, who appeared to be silent all this time. His expression seemed as though he was having an internal battle, one that would slash his pride in half or his future. After a severe shudder, he took a deep breath and answered.
"f.u.c.k it. I'll give my life to you, so in turn, make me the strongest Dark Dragon!" King roared.
After that, it was like his energy left his body, causing him to feel as though he had gone through a tough battle.
Davis's lips curled.
He didn't nod nor give a word of acknowledgment of their loyalty or their wishes. He opened his mouth and instead asked.
"So, except Skylia, everyone will join, right?"
"What? I said I was joining!" Skylia fumed. She stood on her heels, glaring at Davis.
"Then you need to listen. It's non-negotiable." Davis calmly said.
"Hnngg~"
Skylia gnashed her teeth, but even while she looked like her top was going to blow off, her beauty certainly was a grade higher than great, nearing an empire-toppling beauty.
"Fine. I will… listen to you…"
She lowered her head, appearing like her pride had taken a hit.
Davis smirked.
He knew most of them here would die than swallow their pride. If he didn't have enough benefits to give and had helped them before, they surely wouldn't follow him. It was the same as not marrying an incompetent peasant but being willing to be the nine hundred and ninety-ninth concubine to an imposing and protective emperor. The latter was far better than the former in their eyes.
"Illumina, what do you think?"
Davis finally turned to look at the rabbit.
"Master, although the time I was together with them was short, they are quite a reliable bunch. Because I had your mandate and your word that you'll evolve them one day, I was able to keep them in check easily. Therefore, they can be controlled to a degree, but if they don't listen, we can't be blamed."
"Oh, you're saying that if they go berserk, we could kill them?"
"Indeed." Illumina nodded as she cast a glance at Skylia.
"You-" Skylia was about to fume, but Illumina continued.
"Although some of them haven't sworn their true loyalty to master like me, I'm sure they will in the future, and to that end, they need to see if master is worth serving their whole lives to you. I'm sure they're waiting for master's miracle- wanting to go through bloodline evolution like me."
King and the others' hearts shook.
They indeed wanted to go through bloodline evolution as Illumina did.
With that kind of bait in front of them, how could they resist?
"I see." Davis acted as though he understood before he nodded.
"I'm willing to make them evolve, but what would happen if they were to betray?"
Davis asked Illumina, but he was looking directly at King.
"Look, I may scheme, but I'm not a backstabber. I have my own pride as a proud member of the dragon race!"
King waved his hand, appearing offended, "If I ever betray, then you can lop my head off, and I won't resist or curse you!"
"Then I'll keep you your words and treat the others the same. If you don't like my decision, take three steps back and return to your guest palace before I count to five."
"One…" Davis's voice echoed with incredible pressure. He didn't emit anything that showed extreme imposingness.
This pressure made King and the others once again know how small they were, and they were even lucky enough to be able to discuss some things with him.
"Two…"
They looked at each other, looking to see if anyone was leaving.
"Three…"
No one moved their legs. It was as though they were rooted in the void dust land, refusing to leave.
"Four… and… five."
Davis nodded thrice before he turned to look at Everlight, "Yeah, do it."
Everlight was standing behind Illumina and Lest Mistwalker. Only when Davis turned to look at her did the others notice this magical beast woman with a fox aura. Other than that, they couldn't discover anything.
"As you wish, my liege~"
Everlight softly said, raising her hand towards the skies and unleas.h.i.+ng a wave of silvery-golden light. It rose to the skies and formed a giant sphere before splitting into eleven parts. These eleven parts descended like a pillar and struck King and the others, causing them to be dumbfounded.
It was fast, and they didn't sense a hint of danger. Before that, they were shocked by Everlight's aura, which suddenly erupted with a vast amount of life energy. Furthermore, her aura was also at the Emperor Tier! They were too stunned to react.
At that moment, they were all covered in the sacred radiance of the silver-golden pillar of light. It was a highly condensed mist.
Their pupils shrunk, and they held their heads collectively.
*Crack!~* *Crack!~* *Crack!~*
It wasn't long before strange sounds erupted as though their body were undergoing ma.s.sive changes like changing bone structure, rune structure, and even growing new parts within their immortal beast core. They were in their human forms, after all.
It wasn't like they had another body within their core, but their core was the source of their body.
Within a few minutes, they all successfully stepped into King Tier.
Their wild undulations spread around the region, shocking themselves. Even after entering King-Tier, they didn't appear elated but dazed, unable to understand what just went through in their bodies.
"This is just the start. In the future, you'll all have a chance to retain King-Tier Blood even as a Grand Saint Magical Beast like me, so work hard." Illumina glared at them as though she was warning them not to slack.
King and the others couldn't react. Their hearts shuddered even more.
"What do you mean?"
Davis narrowed his eyes at Illumina.
"…!" Seeing his expression, Illumina hurriedly fell on her knees and lowered her head.
"Master, I apologize. It wasn't my place to speak."
"You are wrong." Davis frowned, "Considering your achievement of protecting Myria with your life and many other little and intermediate achievements, you certainly have the qualifications to become Emperor-Tier. Everlight, once you reach the Empyrean Beast Stage, please reward Illumina."
"Of course, dear." Everlight smiled.
"…" Illumina was at a loss for words.
She raised her head, and her nose became red. Her eyes also turned teary.
"Master, I'll never leave you. This little life of mine will always belong to you~"
She directly kowtowed, but Davis's expression changed. He hurriedly waved his hand, lifting her up. He appeared before her and patted her arm.
"You are already an integral part of my family as far as I'm considered, Illumina. I trust you."
Illumina bit her lips as she trembled. The urge to hug filled her soul, but she didn't dare blaspheme him as she looked up at him immensely. But suddenly, Davis enveloped her and gave her a good hug.
"You're a good woman. Your life ain't worth so little in my eyes." He patted her back, consoling her.
He had Heart Intent active to know the views of these immortal beasts, so he knew what Illumina wanted but he didn't know that this move of his completely s.h.i.+fted her view on him, burying her heart in deep chains of love. After all, he stopped using Heart Intent as he felt that it wasn't fair since he had already considered Illumina to be his family.
Meanwhile, King and the others were still too stunned to speak. Millions of thunderbolts still erupted in their minds as they tried to make sense of what happened here. They just became King-Tier as though it was a miracle. It was so easy for that woman as though she was just waving her hand. Her aura didn't even seem to fall one bit.
And now, it appeared that if they earned enough contribution points, they could also become Emperor-Tier? Even as a Grand Saint Magical Beast?
*Bang!~*
Gralex, the Three-Headed Hydra, was the first one to realize the terrifying notion of this capability. He directly knelt and smashed his head against the ground.
"Divine Emperor of Death- no, Master! From here on out, my life belongs to you! As long as I don't get mistreated, I will move heaven and earth for you on your beck and call!"
