'Well that's stupid' is how I retorted to the Dungeon, and as we kept walking I checked on my stats, trying to figure out what happened.

Silk Speech I [Proficiency 21%]

I felt my eye twitch a little. So that's what happened!

As for the "bits of my soul actually comatose as my body isn't strong enough to support it already, meaning I'm already dying and had to get Dungeon-built bits to hold me together' thing... yeah I'll just deal with what comes.

Not much I can change about it unless I can get a body strong enough to A)Support my oversized soul, and B)Get rid of the dungeon bits while letting me live.

'On a side note, isn't that Proficiency kinda high for only using it once?'

Anyways, we came up on the third test, the fog beginning to surround us.

'There's nine of these right? Jeez how much c.r.a.p am I going to have to do?'

'Also... wow water elements are WAAAY easier to move and gather here. I wonder if I could use a spell to change the environment and make certain Magic's easier...'

'...'

'THATS A FANTASTIC IDEA WHAT THE f.u.c.k.'

Alright. Shelf that for now, but definitely gotta go back to that at a later date.

Now! What's the next test?

'T_st _f B_nds'

Test of... Bands?

My eyes sank into a.n.a.lyze's unique sight, seeing all the mana of the world and how it connects everything, and looked again, seeing remnants of what was once their ingrained into it.

'Somehow... they put magic INTO written words. So like my words, but calligraphy? That's a bit cool. Makes it easier to tell what it said.'

"Uh... bonds?" Luna ventures, and I respond with a laugh at how she got it right while I was confused.

"I thought bands, but it seems you're right."

I sighed. This felt... I dunno. I was getting tired, and this was turning into a long day, one after another, the sun beginning to fall.

'Well... lets go.'

I stepped forward, opening yet another door, and stepped into another world.

I was in a... cave?

Along one wall hung many tools of blackened iron, clamps and hammers, and an anvil was near me. To the left was a furnace with a crack in the floor that had lava visibly running through it, heating the air within the cave.

Before the furnace sat a Kitsune who was short, but muscled, with a thick ap.r.o.n and a heavy hammer with which he hammered the steel before him, hung over the lava by the metal table extending from the furnace, or... smithy?

I don't know the proper term, but I'm certain this is some form of Blacksmithing workshop.

"Hey kid!" A gruff voice sounded out, low and hoa.r.s.e.

I jumped a bit and looked at the Foxkin who's turned around to look at me, grease covering his face and beard, leaving bright grey eyes to look at me.

"I might be dead, but I've kept trying to do what I love here, so could you at least wait until I finish before interrupting?"

"Blacksmithing shouldn't be interrupted! Come back next morning."

With that, he turned his back, and my vision turned black at the edges as of everything were crumbling away from me, and I felt a yanking sensation pulling me back, until I stumbled backwards, finding myself back out the door, which shut itself in my face.

Luna stood there, confused as to why Kyoku suddenly jolted back out the second he went in, but Fenrir had caught that his master had disappeared for the smallest of instants, and asked 'What happened?'

I... was speechless! What kinda ghost kicks you out so he can finish his hobby first!

Haunt me, sure! Have feelings of sorrow, relief there are still others, etc, that makes sense!

But... all he felt was annoyed I had interrupted him!

"What a strange ghost!"

Luna and Fenrir were clearly confused, so I explained what I saw, and they were struck speechless as well.

What the actual heck?!

Fenrir eventually shook his head, lowering his snout to the ground.

'Guess he's just got that kinda personality?'

Yeah... guess so buddy.

"Well, since he said you should go back next morning, maybe we should sleep here? It's getting dark."

Luna had a good point, so we all looked for something even close to shelter from the fog, until I had an idea.

I stood up on a rock near the path, and thought to myself.

'Time to test out some cla.s.s skills y'all.'

I began to hum, a little jaunty tune coming out.

'Hey, Ho, here we go!'

'Down countless rivers flow,

Us, the army of wa~ter.'

'In sky above we are clouds,

Us, the army of wa~ter.'

'Called about, let us rise,

Above a mountain,

To the skies!'

It might be hard to explain exactly what I did, so let's just put it reeeeeal simple.

With each hummed note, and word I sang in my head, that echoed out in a way only those who listened could hear, a bit of wind would coil about.

I didn't actually move the water elements themselves, because it's honestly easier for me to use wind elements to push them, and it still matches the intent of that improvised song.

I'm a little impressed though... my cla.s.s's abilities seem really easy to use.

Ah. I'm being helped. Gotcha.

Anyways, as the last lyric 'sang' out, the fog around us lifted up as all the separate bits of wind coiled together and fused as one, into a much larger spell.

I can't regenerate mana while spell casting... but when in-between notes, and the previous spells are suspended, I can for some reason.

So with this idea, and a long enough song with a slow beat, I could theoretically continue stacking forever with my OP mana regeneration.

So now the fog was lifted higher up the mountain, and Spell Symphony gained Proficiency.

Also do you remember my thoughts on using a spell to create an environment where magic of certain kinds is easier? Well...

As each wind coiled up, I could feel the gathered extra wind elements remaining to create a small amount of "resonance", like a mini-domain where that element was promoted in higher density.

So apparently elemental resonance draws on the idea of changing terrain gradually, piece by piece as a by-product of just a bout any spell.

I only have one question: is there a reason my own skills are predicting my future thoughts and ideas?

Alright, fair enough...

...hey can anyone tell me what happened while I was deep in thought? Luna looks like she's got a crab attached to her ear by its pincer.

"AAAAAH! HEEEEEELP!"

'...well that's weir-OH s.h.i.+T!'

"WHATDAf.u.c.kISTHAT?! WHAT HAPPENED?!"
