Lai Yun wasn't expecting him to say that, so she nearly frowned. Phoenix-Cla.s.s disciples were the best any guild could get, so she a.s.sumed that Xiao Fang would gladly invite her in. Seeing that he didn't trust her, she changed her game plan.

"Would it be alright if I spoke to you alone?" She asked.

Xiao Fang didn't say anything for a moment, then finally told Zhao Pan and Bai Fan to wait outside for him.

"Are you sure you want us to leave?" Bai Fan whispered to him.

Xiao Fang nodded.

He thought it was a bit amusing that Bai Fan cared so much about him but rejected his guild invitation, while Zhao Pan left immediately without questioning his words.

Although Zhao Pan might've not cared about him in the past, she didn't feel that way about him anymore. It was hard to suddenly make a male friend after hating men for so long, but despite how it seemed, she didn't dislike Xiao Fang. She left without question because Su Lingxi was still in the room.
