Celestial Peak 212 Festival Begins

"What the h.e.l.l, have you actually gotten weaker? Why do I feel you were stronger before?" A nonchalant voice was heard as w.a.n.g Ling slowly rose into the air with his arms showing signs of turning red.

A scene where w.a.n.g Ling is sent flying by a little fox was shocking enough for the students. But the fact that he managed to survive such a hit was something new altogether.

That hit was something most students would have died from. At the very least, they would suffer an injury of some sort. But w.a.n.g Ling merely brushed it off with a laugh.

Bai Xue looked at the approaching w.a.n.g Ling and then smirked, "Heh, you couldn't even dodge that little tap? Are you losing your sharpness?" Bai Xue teased as she jumped on top of w.a.n.g Ling's shoulder and gently rested there.

She released a sigh as she demanded, "Raise the temperature a little. It is currently cold so don't think of slacking off." w.a.n.g Ling's body temperature raised and she began to make sounds akin to that of a feline.

She was satisfied at the heat and almost began dozing off. But with a flick on the forehead, w.a.n.g Ling waked her up from her daze.

"Sleep after the Festival, sleep now and I'll steal all your paints and use up all the resources without sharing you anything." With those few words, Bai Xue woke up, "This is no time to be sleeping, Xue. The Festival is about to start, sleep after we get a spot on the Ten Year Bout."

w.a.n.g Ling turned to the Red Pillar and bowed slightly towards Fu Peng and Lu Tao who was curiously eyeing him and Bai Xue.

"It is good to see you again, Elder Lu. I apologize for the trouble this one's companion has caused you but is the Festival going to start anytime soon?"

w.a.n.g Ling's inquiry was calm and Lu Tao raised a brown upon hearing his words. He turned to w.a.n.g Ling and smiled wryly, the pain in his heart about the number of points Bai Xue still remains, but he knew w.a.n.g Ling's concerns need to be addressed.

He turned to Fu Peng who also had a pained expression, "Announce it, Peng'er. Although the brats who were to challenge the top three are mostly incapacitated, we need to start the Festival soon."

Fu Peng nodded his head with a heavy expression. He sighed and then raised his hands.

A jade board appeared beside the Red Pillar he was standing on. The jade board was as big as he was and it hovered beside the Red Pillar without a problem.

"This is the Jade Representation Board! Every ten years there is a grand bout to see who is the strongest of the geniuses of the Seven Grand Academies and the other factions who receive an invitation! Just like any of the Seven Academies, we are granted the right to have three representatives.

"The top three rankers of the Academy will be the ones to represent us, but this Festival is an open day where anyone can challenge the three representatives to duels. If you beat them, you will take their places as representative. But if you were to be defeated you are not eligible anymore to face the representatives!"

Everyone watching was excited, they were feeling something new, it was not the feeling anxiousness to see battle after battle, no they were waiting for the time when a representative is stripped off his right.

It had not been done for a very long time. But now seeing something like that happen is plausible with the appearance of both w.a.n.g Ling and Bai Xue.

Although a fight between her and w.a.n.g Ling might not happen as they seem to be acquainted with one another. The second best thing they could hope for is the act of stripping off the representative of their rights.

That would be amazing to see, the top rankers of the ThunderG.o.d Academy was not some wuss. An Academy that focuses on empowering their students through numerous combat, it was an academy that is designed for people who wishes to achieve greater heights.

With one of the Phoenix holding the top-ranking and two [Lower Dragons] holding the 2nd and 3rd rank, it wasn't weird why people refer to the ThunderG.o.d Academy as a gathering of brutes. It was a place that is blossoming with many potentials [Generals].

Fu Peng raised his hand and then shouted, "3rd ranked, Ye Chuan step forth to the stage and present yourself/!"

With a grand call, a wild wind appeared and a wild lightning tornado appeared right in front of w.a.n.g Ling and Bai Xue. The lightning tornado exploded and dissipated in the wind.

The person who came out was a good looking young man with golden hair and blue eyes. Wearing a Green Robe and having a sword on his waist, Ye Chuan had shown himself and he had a confident smile on his face as he stared at w.a.n.g Ling.

"My name is Ye Chuan, the 33rd Dragon of the Dragons and Phoenixes! So you are that w.a.n.g Ling who everyone deems to be the strongest of the current generation? For someone like yourself to appear out of nowhere and claim such a t.i.tle, are you not ashamed?"

w.a.n.g Ling did not answer such a question and merely smiled. Bai Xue chose to close her eyes as she could tell everything is about to become bothersome.

Ignoring Ye Chuan, w.a.n.g Ling heard Fu Peng once more, "2nd ranked, Wei Hu, step forth to the stage and present yourself."

A shocking spear qi rolled over the entire stage and a single Azure Spear descended from heaven and struck the stage. The spear stood perfectly still. It was emitting lightning qi and was rendering the air that surrounded it.

The spear was ten meters away from Ye Chuan. As the spear stood there without budging another young man descended from above and landed on the side of the spear. Picking the spear from the ground.

This time the man had an azure hair and a fierce eyes, he had a big grin and clothes he was wearing was in tatters.

"My name is Wei Hu, the 15th Dragon of the Dragons and Phoenixes! Brat, how much for that little pet of yours?" Wei Hu asked, which w.a.n.g Ling responded with a smile and a calm comment…

"More than your life." A simple answer that immediately provoked Wei Hu.

"I'm going to enjoy tearing you apart!" Wei Hu answered back.

Fu Peng coughed once and finally continued his announcement, "1st ranked, Mao Lan, step forth to the stage and present yourself."

Finally, it was time for Mao Lan to step up. And unlike the other two top rankers, she had no flamboyant entrance and merely floated down from the Red Pillar she was in.

As she slowly floated down, she began announcing her ident.i.ty, "Mao Lan is my name, any other information is unnecessary."

She directed a fierce glare at Bai Xue and smiled as she said, "Bai Xue, I challenge you to a duel."

Bai Xue did not even need to raise her head as she answered, "No thanks, you're too much of a ha.s.sle to fight against."
