The populace began to gather at the city square where the banners that stretch across the city convene. The wide square of the city was bustling with many people and both beasts and people gathered to witness the start of the Ten Year Bout.

In the middle of the square, there was an open s.p.a.ce where only a select few could enter. At the moment, there were seven people inside. Most of the youths inside were people who are referred to as monstrous geniuses.

The s.p.a.ce they were in was a five hundred-meter s.p.a.ce where an array set up around them that functions as a filter for the contestants and bystanders. The only people who could enter the said array were the ones who had a jade stick in their possession.

Dun, Dun, Du-Dun, Du-Du-Du-Dunnnnnnnn!

The banging of the war drums was getting more and more powerful as the seconds pa.s.sed. And as the banging of the drums intensified by the second, many more representatives gathered at the square.

Showered with adoration and cheers of the populace, the representatives that were flying over had different reactions from one another. Some were happy while some were cold and uncaring. Some were normal and some had no reaction.

On the other hand, there was another reaction that was mix in the representative. A representative was walking towards the gathering of thousands of people at a leisure pace. On hand was a tea he had taken from someplace and was casually seeping on tea.

As they reached the crowd, w.a.n.g Ling casually asked for the crowd to move as if he was too lazy to fly over them. But as they ignored him and continued watching, he sighed and looked at Bai Xue who was chilling on the arms of w.a.n.g Yue and said.

Be careful and Hong'er, you can do whatever you want to anyone who has any intention to her." w.a.n.g Ling casually added the last instruction which w.a.n.g Hong gladly nodded his head before walking over to w.a.n.g Ling's side saying.

"Big brother, be careful about the bout. The elimination round is rather easy if your opponents decide not to form a team. But once they start forming teams, it would be best if you leave… well, considering big brother, you can take on most of the people on elimination as such people is not even worth your time. "Can you clear this elimination round yourself or do you need me to step up?"

Bai Xue asked mockingly which w.a.n.g Ling responded with a smile as he slowly floated up and head for the middle s.p.a.ce where the representatives who have the right to enter the 'True Bout".

w.a.n.g Ling slowly floated and he with Bai Xue entered the array. They felt pressure making them take a step back, but the jade stick in their possession glowed and granted them entrance.

They landed on the ground and chose a place where they would be inconspicuous. But as w.a.n.g Ling stood there doing nothing and keeping his silence. His natural charisma and good looks attracted the eyes of others.

"Isn't that w.a.n.g Ling? The Son of Heaven? What is he doing there with the rest of the "Trial Representatives"?" A man asked

A woman answered his question, "Only those of the Dragons and Phoenix Rankings are to move to the True Bout or the Main Bouts. Although he is hailed as one of the strongest, the Son of Heaven is not counted as one of the Dragons and Phoenix."

w.a.n.g Ling listened to them and merely sighed. He had learned of this too late now, but according to w.a.n.g Hong and the others. Only those of the Dragons and Phoenix Rankings and the people who pa.s.sed the Trial Eliminations can move to the Main Bout.

Those who joined already numbered at 30 or more and as the Ten Year Bout was an event in the span of 4 days from the 27th day of the first month to the 30th day, there should only be a select number of compet.i.tors.

The Trial Eliminations had already been concluded years ago and it had no need to be introduced to those who watch the Ten Year Bout. Because the rules were simple, those who prevail would gain the right to join the Main Bout.

Everyone was on edge waiting for the time when the war drums were supposed to stop. But when it actually stopped, no one managed to react as n.o.body moved a muscle.

But as one female opened his eyes, the temperature inside the array spiked and then.

Inside an array where the fire burned the world like they were in an inferno. The crowd cheered as their blood boiled with the start of the Ten Year Bout.
