[Night At Blackmere City]

It's already 10 PM. A bright full moon is currently s.h.i.+ning in the sky as it illuminates the night with its silvery brightness and the cool night breeze is blowing from the northern direction.

But no one is there to admire the beautiful night and enjoy it.

Being a major city in this region, Blackmere is a city of sleepless nights. The streets are always crowded with people, and shops are operating 24/7 with the circulation of staff members and guards moving around the city to make sure that nothing wrong is going on. The only place which is currently in peace and without any noise is the surrounding of the mansion, where Kai is staying. n.o.body dares to enter the radius of a hundred meters around the mansion without getting checked.

Most of the people and servants have already gone to sleep after having their dinner, while some are awake to provide their services at night.

Kai and his mates have already hit their beds.

Today was very tiring for them. But still, most were able to break through the magic knight stage and require some time to adjust to their new cultivation and strength. While Lizel and Klaus are the only two remaining, who still has not become a magic knight. Thought Kai as he looked at the woman in the ice block with worry and anxiousness on his face. 

He has no idea, who is the person inside the ice block, and if she is a reasonable one.

Kai didn't wait for a single second. He just can't afford to waste time. Who knows for how long the woman within the ice can remain trapped?

As he concentrated his mind inside himself, Kai found dark magic origin and the golden symbol twinkling on its surface, as a voice resonated in his head.

'Ruler of the Samsara world, the embodiment of the law of death and darkness. Answers the call of the origin'

The next moment, the dark magic origin inside Kai started to shake and everything turned dark.

The dark magic origin of Kai was no longer inside him. Instead, only the mysterious symbol on top of the dark magic origin remained.

Seeing that, Kai opened his eyes and looked at the dark magic origin floating in the air before his eyes.

It was of an oval-shaped black ball, which was pulsing with a violet glow each second as the size of the black ball doubled and redoubled. Ethereal in the surrounding was reacting to the pulsing of dark magic origin rhythmically. The light around the room was getting sucked into the black magic origin and even the whistling sound of the wind was lost.

The atmosphere around the room started to become more and more silent. Kai stood still with absolute silence and stillness to the point that he could hear the sound of the beating of his heart as well as the sound of the beating of the heart which was coming from somewhere else.

The sound of another heartbeat was very slow but was becoming stronger by each second in a chaotic manner like it was afraid of something and cracks on the ice block were spreading rapidly.

The body of the woman inside the ice was trembling and the temperature of the room was dropping at a higher rate than before.

On the other hand, the dark magic origin was taking the shape of the human and the outline of the body was that of Kai wearing a long night-black mage coat with a hood attached to it and wearing gloves and boots on his hands and feet respectively.

Death opened his eyes and looked around.

He was a mirror image of Kai. Just his skin color was pitch black with golden eyes and a height of 185cm.

Slowly he moved beside Kai and bowed towards him.

Kai nodded and pointed towards the woman inside the ice.

The woman was no longer still inside the ice. Her entire body was shaking. Causing the sword piercing her belly to shake violently. It was obvious by now. She had regained consciousness and was currently struggling to break out of the ice. Even the mask covering her face was cracking up and Kai could see that the woman inside the ice was looking at him with her light blue eyes, releasing crazy killing intent like he had never felt before combined with great pressure on his body.

To his luck, Death was here. He was using his power to cancel the magic law released by the woman.

But it didn't stop Kai's body from trembling and cold sweat was forming on the back spine of Kai.

Not only was he affected but the entire mansion was under the influence of the killing intent.

Those people with weak mental strength within the range of one hundred meters around the mansion quickly became unconscious and fell on the ground without any reason.

Inside the mansion, everyone's mental strength was not weak as they awakened with full alertness aside from the servants.

They were feeling gooseb.u.mps throughout their body and heard the sounds of chaotic footsteps.

Jai, Asava, Esabella, Kade, Louie, Joseph, Alina, Jennifer, Duke Grawn were the first to react and moved towards Kai's room.

The source of the killing intent made Jai and Asava specifically concerned as they ran to the second floor at full speed.

Being nearest to Kai's room. It was Alina who reached the doorsteps of the room first. But before she could pull open the door with her right hand and explosion occurred inside Kai's room. Knocking her down and hitting the wall behind her with full force. She coughed out blood, her right-hand bones were broken. With minor fractures in her ribcage but not affecting any of her vital body parts.

Blood started to flow from her head but she was still concerned about the safety of her master.

The room before her was now gone with the room adjacent to Kai's room. The floor was cracked as smoke and dust were rising into the air. Alina struggled to get up on her feet but found that her lower body was completely pierced with large ice crystals pieces.

Others suddenly felt the sound of a loud explosion on the second floor. Shaking the entire mansion from its core. Cracks started appearing on the walls.

Just as they reached the second floor and witnessed the horrifying condition that it was in and the b.l.o.o.d.y body of Alina.

Jennifer and Esabella moved quickly and checked her condition.

She was still struggling to maintain her consciousness. Seeing them, Alina finally relaxed and closed her eyes.

On the other hand, Jai and Asava were looking around the ruins that remained from Kai's room with distressful expressions. But could not find any traces of Kai's existence. Like he had just vanished into thin air.
