As she sat in the swivel chair with her back pressed against its leather cus.h.i.+on, w.a.n.g Reiji cannot get her mind off the interpretation of her dream. It seemed like she was not completely convinced, especially when in the past five years she never had a dream similar to this one. However, considering the amount of workload she had to finish today, she had to refocus her mind and s.h.i.+ft her concentration to the pile of papers on her office table.

"Hmm... It seems like I need to dismiss this thought for now. I have better things to do than fuss over trivial matters such as my dream." w.a.n.g Reiji inhaled sharply before she grabbed some doc.u.ments to finish off what she had started two hours ago.

As she thoroughly examined the contents of each of the doc.u.ment, she realized that the remaining pile stock of paperwork on her table were all prepared by the marketing department. Which meant that all these papers waiting for her signature were all related to the pre-opening of Oriental Europa.

w.a.n.g Reiji then decided to carefully go over the doc.u.ments one by one just to make sure that the launching and the masquerade ball, would become one unforgettable experience for everyone. Most especially to the people whom she believed were involved with the village fire, five years ago.

"Let's see. So, this doc.u.ment is a budget request for the food to be served at the party." w.a.n.g Reiji said to herself as her eyes scanned what was written on the paper.

The request contained a list of ingredients needed for the 12-course meal menu prepared by the chef of Golden Palate for the event. The estimated cost and quant.i.ty for each ingredient were also written across the ingredient's name. However, w.a.n.g Reiji felt like she cannot just approve the budget for the food unless she had tasted what was on the 12-course meal menu.

"I am afraid this has to wait! I want to have a taste of the meals that will be served at the party first. Also, we need to know the food preference of the guests as well as their food allergies." w.a.n.g Reiji opted not to sign the food budget request as she then placed it in a different folder to separate it from the rest of the doc.u.ments.

"Next doc.u.ment is..." w.a.n.g Reiji softly murmured to herself as she examined the contents of the next doc.u.ment waiting for her signature.

The succeeding doc.u.ment was still a budget request, but this time for the talent fee of the various entertainers that will be performing at the masquerade party. Most names on the list were world renown performers from their respective fields of expertise.

"Oh my! Paying for all the talent fees of these performers is not a good investment. It's not like the guests will be paying to see them perform on stage." w.a.n.g Reiji rubbed her temples as she became disappointed with this move of the marketing team. If she allowed this to push through, the masquerade ball of Oriental Europa will just turn into a concert. Who are they promoting now? The hotel or these performers?

w.a.n.g Reiji did not sign the request, she instead wrote some comments and a note saying that instead of hiring entertainers that were already famous, they should hire new promising entertainers not just to lessen expenditures but for these entertainers to be indebted to the hotel because of the exposure and opportunity they had received from Oriental Europa's masquerade ball.

The succeeding doc.u.ments seemed okay with w.a.n.g Reiji that she signed them all without hesitation. When she was about to reach out for one of the few final doc.u.ments, a loud knock on her office door distracted her from what she was about to do.

"Pardon, boss. I just arrived from delivering the package to your villa. May I please come in?" The owner of the voice was none other than Rentao, w.a.n.g Reiji's office secretary and personal a.s.sistant.

"Okay, you may come in." w.a.n.g Reiji said as she took her eyes away from the door and back to the paper she was holding in her hands. She was just about to read the opening part of the doc.u.ment when she sensed that Rentao, who carried a folder in his hand, was only a few steps away from her and her table.

"What's that folder in your hands?" w.a.n.g Reiji placed the paper she was holding in her hands down the table as her gaze now fell on the folder Rentao was carrying in his hands.

"I have already found a replacement for Lady Tong and the Queen's Wardrobe. This folder contains all the information and details of the new couturier. I also included some of her masterpieces. By the way boss, this couturier is just a newbie yet she managed to make herself famous overseas in just a short span of time."

"Hmmm... Interesting. What is the name of this couturier and is it possible for her to accommodate us today?"

"Actually, I already set a dinner meeting with her and her team at 7 pm tonight. And the couturier preferred to be called Miss Teri."

"I see... Okay. Let's meet with them later. Anyway, you can leave the folder here on my table. I will go over the contents after I am done with these." w.a.n.g Reiji said as she pointed her finger to the remaining doc.u.ments on her table.

"Understood, CEO w.a.n.g. I will be taking my leave now." Rentao said as he turned around and walked towards the door of the office.

Soon after w.a.n.g Reiji was left alone inside her office room, she focused her attention again on the doc.u.ment she was about to read before Rentao had entered her office.

Her facial expression suddenly turned dark after she had read the contents of the paper. The doc.u.ment she was reading was still a budget request-- a budget request about hiring a specific security agency to ensure the safety of the guests on the eve of the masquerade ball. A budget request to pay for the services of Huang Protection Agency.
