*Buzz* 

The faint sound of a ringing phone made Kiang Leilei turned her gaze on the table beside where she sat. Looking at the buzzing phone, her eyes accidentally caught sight of the glowing screen and saw an unregistered number flas.h.i.+ng.

'Who this might be?' Kiang Leilei uttered to herself. Curious, she then felt the urge to answer w.a.n.g Yuvin's phone. 

'No! It is improper for me to answer the call!'Kiang Leilei reprimanded herself and averted her eyes from w.a.n.g Yuvin's phone. 

"Maybe that call is urgent. Why not answer it or bring Mr. w.a.n.g's phone to him?" Chairman Xu said as he took a sip of his tea and wandered his eyes around. Currently, Chairman Xu and Kiang Leilei were inside the PaG.o.da style-pavillion in the middle of the Villa's garden. 

"Ah, this place is vast and I don't know where he went... Also, he told us to stay here and wait for him." Kiang Leilei replied. Though she liked the chairman's idea, she did not feel that it was the right thing to do especially when w.a.n.g Yuvin instructed them to wait for him. 

"You are no fun at all! Don't you know that a simple act of thoughtfulness from a lady can warm the heart of a grown man?" Chairman Xu shook his head, seemingly disappointed with Kiang Leilei's refusal.

"R-really? But Chairman... Will a grown man prefer a thoughtful woman than an obedient one?" Kiang Leilei suddenly asked with eyes full of curiosity.

"Eh? Hmm... That's a rather difficult question. If the man is me, of course I prefer both!" 

"B-both women?" Kiang Leilei's eyes almost fell out their sockets.

"Silly, girl! What I meant was I would prefer a woman who has both qualities." Chairman Xu furrowed his brows and shook his head again.

"I see. Sorry I misunderstood you, Chairman." Kiang Leilei sounded very apologetic.

"It is okay. Not a big deal at all, no need to apologize." Chairman Xu chuckled as he waved his hand at Kiang Leilei.

"Actually, we can just ignore the phone call since it is not proper to answer another person's call without getting his permission first. Unless... You accidentally pressed the answer b.u.t.ton!" Chairman Xu's reply made him look like a cunning person in Kiang Leilei's eyes.

'How cunning! Is this really the Chairman Emeritus of Jicheng Zhe University??' Kiang Leilei felt grievously deceived by the Chairman. 

"Listen, what if the person who was calling earlier was your grandfather? Wouldn't it put Mr. w.a.n.g in a bad light?" Chairman Xu finally made his point.

"Are you telling me to lie, Chairman Xu?" Kiang Leilei's voice slightly went up a notch.

"Tsk! I am just giving you options, girl! You still have the final say." Chairman Xu said before he stood up and rested his eyes on the lovely flowers of the garden.

"Why don't you answer the phone instead, Chairman? I think Yuvin will not mind if it was you who took the call." Kiang Leilei replied.

"That makes me his a.s.sistant! Definitely not gonna answer." Chairman Xu answered, his eyes still fixated on the garden.

Just when Kiang Leilei was about to give her reply, the phone rang again. She expelled out a lung of air before she found herself picking up the phone and pressing the answer option.

"Here goes nothing!" Kiang Leilei said as she picked up the call.
