It was a typical monday morning in Beijing. w.a.n.g Reiji got up early to avoid the hustle and bustle of the streets. Chaun will drive her to the office while RenTao will go there directly to prepare her breakfast. Before they left the Villa, w.a.n.g Reiji instructed her bodyguards to stay low key. She doesn't want to attract unnecessary attention.

On their way to Paragon Tower, they pa.s.sed by a digital billboard. w.a.n.g Reiji opened her eyes wide. She even opened the window of her Porsche Panamera to get a better view of the person shown on the billboard.

At first, she thought she was just seeing things, but when the man's name flashed on the screen, things became certain.

'Zhang Chenric...'

w.a.n.g Reiji stared out her car window. The man's name and face were enough to take her back to that awful night five years ago, the night that had changed w.a.n.g Reiji's life.

"Chenric! Please listen to me. You misunderstood the situation. There's nothing going on between me and Mr. Isam-"

The anxious Zhang Chenric suddenly cupped w.a.n.g Reiji's face in his hands.

"How many times do I need to tell you not to say that filthy old man's name!"

Zhang Chenric growled in anger upon hearing w.a.n.g Reiji's words.

"C-Chenric, please calm down. You're scaring me." w.a.n.g Reiji said with a trembling voice and teary eyes.

Zhang Chenric let out a loud chuckle.

"So, you're starting to get scared now huh? That's good Yin, you should be scared! Be really scared! After all you're siding with a crime lord!"

"I'm not taking sides! I have my own reasons. But being his woman is definitely not one of them! I am not his woman, I'm yours Chenric, only yours. Please trust me on this."

w.a.n.g Reiji pleaded tearfully while holding on tightly to Zhang Chenric's hands.

Zhang Chenric sighed deeply and lowered his eyes to meet hers. He had finally calmed down. His anger now subsided thanks to w.a.n.g Reiji's words.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I was being irrational. It's just that I can't help but feel jealous. Besides, that old man is a notorious crime lord in j.a.pan. He's really dangerous but you still insist to get close to him. What do I need to know? What are you hiding from me, Yin?"

w.a.n.g Reiji stared lovingly into Zhang Chenric's eyes and sweetly smiled.

Zhang Chenric leaned a little closer to w.a.n.g Reiji, their foreheads touching. He then started planting small gentle kisses to her forehead, down her eyes, and tip of her nose. When he reached her lips he felt an urge to pull her closer until there was no s.p.a.ce left between and he could only feel the beating of her heart against his chest. He connected his warm lips to her soft lips. It was a delicate kiss at first. Then it slowly became more pa.s.sionate as he wrapped his hands around her waist and she locked hers around his neck.

High with endorphins, she opened her mouth with a low moan. He then took this chance to worm his tongue into her mouth. In a matter of seconds, their tongues were touching each other's lips and the insides of their mouths. The kiss was so intense that it evaporated every thought and obliterated all their worries.

As the warm feeling engulfed their bodies, his fingers started to ran up and down her spine causing a rush of heat to travel through her veins.

Just as they felt a euphoric bliss enclose them, they heard a loud knocking at the door of his office, it was then followed by a female voice.

"Prosecutor Zhang! This is urgent. Please open up door. "

The owner of the voice was none other than Liu LingLi, the legal office a.s.sistant of Beijing's finest General Prosecutor Zhang Jun, Prosecutor Zhang Chenric's father.
