"RenTao, where's CEO w.a.n.g?"

Qin Sho's words did not just startle RenTao but also his 'secretary'.

The pair of deceiving boss and subordinate stared at each other.

They completely forgot about Qin Sho!

"RenTao?" Qin Sho was still waiting for RenTao's answer.

"C-CEO Qin, CEO w.a.n.g's attending a very personal matter. Her mansion in the West got attack the other day, right? Her daughter's safety was almost compromised."

RenTao pulled out his handkerchief from his coat's pocket and wiped off the beads of sweat on his forehead.

"I see..." Qin Sho answered with a smile trying to hide his dismay. He was about to call Bai WuFei to cancel the restaurant reservation when his eyes rested on RenTao's 'secretary'.

"Who is she? Is she a new hire?" Qin Sho asked while staring at RenTao's 'secretary'.

Before RenTao can open his mouth, w.a.n.g Reiji took the initiative to answer Qin Sho's query.

"Greetings, CEO Qin. I'm Jing YiZhi, Mr. RenTao's field a.s.sistant." w.a.n.g Reiji answered while lowering her head down.

"Nice to meet you Miss Jing. By the way, have we met before? You look and sound familiar..." Qin Sho's said without batting his eyes.

RenTao paled after hearing Qin Sho's words. He then looked at his 'secretary' who's sweating profusely.

What should they do now?

Before the pair can think of a plausible answer, the door of the lounge swung open and a hotel employee walked in.

"Greetings, everyone. Oriental Europa's preparations are complete. We may now begin the inspection."

One of the city inspectors stood up and approached RenTao.

"Mr. RenTao, we will now begin our inspection. If the building pa.s.sed the standards, we'll issue the permit right away, hence we invited Chairman Kiang over to take care of the legalities."

"Thank you, Mr Inspector." RenTao said in a clear voice.

Everyone inside the lounge went outside except for Chairman Kiang who already started preparing the needed doc.u.ments.

Hanzo just finished his ninth cigarette stick and third cup of coffee, yet he can't still find any new information about the prosecutor.

He's not being nosy. It's just that his pride can't accept the fact that he did a terrible mistake and almost put w.a.n.g Reiji in danger.

He slammed his back down on his swivel chair and took a deep breath. It seems like he must obtain the information he wants by himself.

Hanzo suddenly stood up and walked away from his computers. He then went inside his room to fetch a small box.

"Looks like I will be using this today."

He said as he opened the box and took the bug spy drone out. He then turned the drone on to give it a test. Satisfied with the results, he immediately returned the drone to its box. He grabbed his car keys and dashed towards the garage.

When he got inside his car, he quickly set the GPS and started the engine.

Chairmain Kiang was in the middle of re-reading the doc.u.ments when his phone rang. He took his phone out to see who's calling him.

When he saw the name of the caller he paused for a while before picking the call up.

"Grams! Where you at? You promised to go shopping with me today, remember?" The owner of the voice was none other than Kiang LeiLei his only granddaughter.

Eventhough Kiang LeiLei is a spoilt brat she's the center of his universe. When Kiang LeiLei's parents divorced, he did everything he could to win the full custody of his granddaughter.

Kiang LeiLei is a product of a loveless marriage, which was entirely his fault. He was ambitious during his younger years and did everything he could to obtain power and influence. He even used his only daughter as a p.a.w.n to reach his goals. He was really selfish back then.

His biggest regret in his life was when he told CEO Yun, "I want your brother for my daughter." Those words set everything in motion and changed their lives. He became successful and his lawfirm became well-known while his daughter's life became miserable.

"Grams?" Kiang LeiLei called out to him again.

"Yes, my child. Let's have lunch together and shop after, okay? Grams still has work to do." Chairman Kiang said with a calm voice.

"Okay, grams! See you at your favorite restaurant. Don't tire yourself too much, okay?"

"Yes, my child. See you later." Chairman Kiang smiled as he ended the phone call.

For all the things he did wrong in the past, his granddaughter was his greatest consolation, his saving grace. That's why he promised himself that he'll give her everything her heart desires.
