"beep... beep"

After his sister finished talking, the call ended. YuVin felt bad about what he did. Among all people, he knew better how w.a.n.g Reiji desperately wanted to run away from the claws of the past and just live a happy life with Europa. However it was never easy to get away from the shadows of yesterday. Especially if their enemies held a deep grudge against them.

YuVin put down his phone and went to Europa's room. He saw his niece already sitting on the bed and waiting patiently for him. He smiled at her and went straight to her cabinet to get the laptop. He was just two steps away from Europa when the lights went out.

"Ahhhhh!"

A loud scream was heard in the entire mansion piercing the darkness and breaking the silence. YuVin hurriedly jumped into the bed to cover Europa's mouth with his hand.

"Shhh... Calm down my dear. Uncle YuVin is here. Don't be scared." YuVin whispered to Europa with a calm voice.

YuVin started to become alert. This is not an ordinary outage. Even if it is, they have generators that will immediately supply the household with power. He doesn't want to think negatively, but there's a higher chance that the outage was probably done by an enemy. Few seconds later, his hunch was proven to be correct. Loud barking of dogs and gunfires were heard. They were under attack! He embraced Europa tightly then he pressed her pressure points causing his niece to pa.s.s out.

"Please forgive Uncle YuVin for doing this to you. It would be easier for us to escape if you are unconscious."

After rendering Europa unconscious, YuVin immediately took a penlight from his pocket and started to search for something in Europa's room. Beside Europa's bed is a secret compartment. He opened it and found a Beretta 96 pistol and some bullets. He hurriedly loaded the gun with bullets. He then swiftly moved into his room while carrying the pa.s.sed out Europa. Upon safely reaching the room, YuVin locked the door and started packing some important stuffs with him. He grabbed his phone before pus.h.i.+ng his bed to reveal a secret pa.s.sage. He carried Europa into the pa.s.sage together with the stuffs he took with them. There were emergency lights along the way so YuVin didn't have a hard time reaching the underground garage. The hidden garage contained lots of cars and motorcycles. He swiftly moved into the hanging car keys and took the key of the satin black ferrari. He carefully placed Europa in the front seat and fastened her seatbelt. He then rushed to the driver's seat and started the car engine. The gate opened automatically and YuVin drove the car in high speed. His heart was beating fast, it was a familiar feeling. It was the exact same feeling he gets whenever he goes into a mission.
