I am not underestimating Catmod, it was just that, Catmod has amazing abilities and he was a bit higher ranked than me . It was already a miracle that I can attack him equally . I did not lose heart and just keep on jumping here and there while launching my fireb.a.l.l.s . I increased the speed of my casting and throwing off the fireb.a.l.l.s so that Catmod would just stay on defensive rather than stay on his attack stance which would be hard for me once he will do some sort of wind spell .

It's hard thinking while attacking and coordinating my movements at the same time . Catmod's magic skills are all versatile and whenever I counter them, he goes up with another counter skill which makes it kind of annoying a bit later . They are hard to deal with which might be the cause why the enemies that face Catmod either meet their match or death too early for underestimating him . If I want to deal with Catmod as soon as I can, then I have to go on full burst but that would cause severe fatigue instead which is I am avoiding at the moment . I have to just hang in there and whittle his almost infinite mana tank .

Since my hara.s.s did not work that well to my side, I have to amp the power of my magic a bit more . I stepped back a bit before I once again activated another magic circle on the red flames . The magic circle was red at first but when it started to rotate very fast, the fiery red colour of the circle into blue .

Catmod smirked and started crouching like a real cat about to pounce a prey . "Nice, you are no longer holding back, I also have to amp my performance too . "

I didn't get what Catmod meant when he said performance but then, he suddenly leap into the air and disappeared like smoke in midair . I was about to look around the place and find Catmod's precise location but I was a bit slower than him . I only managed to hear his voice in split second .

Being sent flying by a jetpack on your back is fine, but being sent flying by a punch or kick or whatever attack hit me earlier . I only see similar scenes in anime and movies but I never expected I would also be sent flying in a similar manner . I bounced a few times on the ground for I don't know how many times . Every bounce brings forth pain to my body which is quite bad and insane . I think like a few gangsters have destroyed my body as they pummeled me to death .

That was the longest pain I ever experienced in my whole life . I thought I was about to die from that before the wall stopped my progress . The impact is big and the wall cave-in after the impact which caused me to be covered in the debris . Now that I experienced it first hand, those things I saw on television where the protagonist immediately stands after the sent flying event is not real . That is just some bullsh*t, I think I can't move my arms and legs due to pain .

I struggled to get out of the debris as they are quite heavy and accompanied by my injuries, getting out is purely impossible . Every time I tried to get out, blood starts to flow out of my mouth which is not something normal if you ask me . But before I can even remove a single debris from my body, a familiar paw grabbed the edge of my clothes and with a light pull, I was pulled out of the debris but that was not a rescue, it's just another sort of attack Catmod prepared for me . As soon as my body is out, he didn't hesitate to pull me out and throw me to the center of the arena without even batting an eyelid . It was like he is just throwing a random ragdoll into the arena .

"Guhack!" I spurt out blood badly as my back hits the ground . I don't think I can move anymore . This isn't training, this is a real battle and I think I am going to die soon .

'Are you satisfied to die just like that Kazuma?'

There it is again, the voice in my head started talking . Every pa.s.sing second seems very slow to me and I don't think I would be able to continue fighting . Screw the voice, I can't get up anymore .
