Raigaki clapped both his hands and an incense bowl appeared out of thin air and floated in front of him. He grabs it and blows the content of the bowl to the soul of Mirai.

"Ugh..." Mirai mumbled.

"Don't worry everyone, she is not harmed. She just got affected by the effects of the incense. This incense is something that helps to stable her condition and to let her avoid experiencing extreme pain. Also, it is to cut ties temporarily with her body."

"Cut ties with her body? Isn't that going to kill her?" I exclaimed.

"No. Cutting ties with her body doesn't necessarily mean she will abandon her body. It is to avoid further injuries being transferred to her. I heard earlier that her body was taken away by a Body Thief monster and every wound and pain that the body gets is transferred straight to her soul. "Eh... So you are complaining about the lack of your healing job? Well, it's not wartime and not many magicians are always injured. And besides, there are many support healing type magicians too and you are not the only one," Yaya said.

I didn't understand why Raigaki is so in a rush to use his ability. Is he really that excited?

Before the petal can even land to Mirai, Raigaki clapped his hands and a yellow magic circle appeared once more.

Pink colored lights appeared on random parts of Mirai, mostly to her wounds. Some of her wounds are gone but many of her wounds seem to be not able to get cured by the Rose magic treatment that Raigaki did.

"Her wounds seem to be rather worse than I thought. I think I have to up a notch. Can someone fetch me a basin of water?" Raigaki asked.

Before I can even grab a basin, Yaya snaps her fingers and a basin full of water appeared out of nowhere.

"Thanks," Raigaki said before he put down the basin of water just below the sofa.

"If her wounds are too strong, let's just use purification and purify all of the impurities in her body. However, this is what I call the risky part. Everyone, grab a hold on this girl and transfer a bit of your mana to her. If you didn't do it, she might get killed while being purified too."

Everyone nodded and grab a hold on Mirai's arms and legs and started to channel our mana to Mirai. Mirai's expression started to contort in pain. It looks like the mana we inject is being rejected by Mirai's body forcefully.

"Don't stop channeling the mana! The next step is the most crucial part!"

I gritted my teeth. Channeling the mana to Mirai is getting harder since the mana we are channeling is being expelled which causes us to get exhausted in the process.

Raigaki's forehead is br.i.m.m.i.n.g with sweat too but he is calm and composed. He did not panic and continue to do the ritual. He keeps on doing different hand gestures until he stops in the gesture of punching his fist to each other.

"Purification Ritual Second Version: Lotus of the Maiden!"

A sudden burst of energy started to expel from Mirai's body. She opened her eyes and lights appeared on her eyes and mouth as she screamed in agony.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Raigaki gritted his teeth and maintained his posture that seems to maintain the Purification Ritual to continue.

"Raigaki? How long will we be able to continue doing this?" Rena asked as her lips started to pale.

"Hold on! Its almost done! Just keep on channeling the mana on her body!"

The magic outburst keeps on raging on that many magicians started to gather from the ground floor to look at what was happening.

The ground shook and a few tiles started to crack. The intensity is just too great that even the sofa is getting ripped slowly by the energy emitting from Mirai's body.

I took a glance at Mirai and saw that her wounds are getting lighter than usual and her body seems to be getting stable. However, she continues to scream since the ritual is not yet over.

Then, when our mana is almost depleted, Raigaki started to make hand gestures again until he stopped when his palms are pressed together.

As soon as Raigaki said that, a final burst appeared on Mirai's body and it sent all of us flying from the sofa.

Slowly, we stand up from where we crashed and took a look at Mirai. Raigaki examined Mirai first and after thoroughly checking her, he nodded and looked at me with a smile.

"Her body is now stable. She will not suffer any pain anymore."

"Will she still suffer from the pain transfer?" I asked.

"Not for now. Since I severed her connection to her body, she will temporarily can't experience from the Body Thief's pain transfer. So if you plan to confront her body again, then it is best to do it now."
