[Take a look, little la.s.s. It is all gone now.]
Ja.n.u.s said as soon as he noticed that the handprint in Mu Lingxi's arm was now completely faded.
Mu Lingxi looked at her right arm so she could see if what Ja.n.u.s said was true. But before she could do that, Long Yue also shouted.
"Lingx-- S- su--- Su Yan! The handprint in your arm was gone!"
Long Yue was about to blurt out Mu Lingxi's real name when he noticed that Mu Lingxi shot him a piercing look.
He became too excited when he saw that the handprint in his friend's right arm was already gone. As such, he almost made a terrible mistake of exposing his friend's secret.
"Oh, you are right! It only took a roundtrip going from our dormitory to Schoolmaster Yin's office for the handprint to fade."
Mu Lingxi almost broke out a cold sweat when she heard how Long Yue addressed her. She swiftly changed the topic before her other friends could even notice anything.
"How do you think you got that, anyway?"
"Yeah, let us say, you dreamt about the lady in the chalice. But how was she able to get direct contact with you???"
"Exactly. Aren't she was supposed to be trapped inside the chalice?"
Fan Lei and the others also noticed that the handprint in their friend's right arm was already faded, and they were also baffled as to know how she got it.
Unable to reigned over their curious minds anymore, the group asked Mu Lingxi the question that has been bugging them one after another.
"To be honest, I absolutely don't have any idea either."
Mu Lingxi was not lying when she said that.
Just like how her friends were, she was also curious to know how did the lady that was trapped in the chalice managed to get direct contact with her and even left a handprint on her right arm.
But no matter how hard they racked their brains for an answer, they all knew that they won't get any.
So rather than draining their brain cells out, the group just decided to leave their questions unanswered.
After all, they knew that it would be pointless to think too deep into matters that they did not have the answer to at the moment.
"Forget it, there is no point thinking about that right now."
"MEOW"
[Right, little la.s.s. Besides, your brain is not meant for thinking anyway. So don't strain yourself anymore. Have a rest instead. You needed more of that.]
Mu Lingxi arched one of her eyebrows when she heard Ja.n.u.s' comment. But decided not to argue with her cat, in the meantime.
'Hmmm.. It has been a while now since I last heard Ja.n.u.s' catty remark. He must have been back to his usual self now that Luna was already on her way to recovery.'
Mu Lingxi thought to herself after a while.
Since it was still in the middle of the night when they have gone out to Schoolmaster Yin's office, Mu Lingxi and her friends were left with no other things to do.
So in the end, they all climbed to each of their own respective beds and resumed their sleep.
The group went on their usual morning routine as soon as they woke up the next morning.
Since Schoolmaster Yin already gave his word that he would look into the matter regarding Mu Lingxi's dream, then they have decided to leave everything to him.
They have to focus on their studies in the meantime if they wanted to catch up with all the lessons that they have missed.
It was a good thing that Magus Academia was never strict when it comes to attendance. Or else, their group would have been called out due to their recent absences already.
Magus Academia was so lenient when it came to the matter concerning their student's behavior towards learning magic.
To the point that one, one can even leave the school in the middle of the school term and never returned to his or her cla.s.s if one day, they simply decided not to attend it anymore.
This would not affect the cla.s.s in any way.
In fact, the members of the teaching faculty of the school were already used to it. To the point that they don't bother themselves anymore whenever their cla.s.s was missing one or more students.
Mu Lingxi's group attended their cla.s.ses together just like before.
The group arrived a few minutes earlier than their teacher.
For today's lesson, it was Teacher Nana who was going to discuss Black Magic.
But before that, she must first have to remind them about the upcoming school event. since she was their cla.s.sroom adviser.
"Since the annual student a.s.sessment is just around the corner, I believe that most of you here were now doing their best to improve your magic skills---"
Teacher Nana started her speech with those words.
As expected, her speech focused on motivating her students to be more serious in their study of magic, so that they could further improve themselves.
She also did not forget to mention the annual students' a.s.sessment which would be held in two months' time.
Just like what she said, it was indeed a fact that most of her students were already doing their best to practiced and honed themselves with the limited time that was left to their disposal.
Meaning, while others were busy training themselves indoor and were practicing their magic ability,
Mu Lingxi and the rest of her friends were busy spending their time taking missions and going to one place to another.
They have never noticed this before.
But now that they were reminded about it, the soon group realized what they were actually doing all these times.
They were supposed to be learning how to be a warlock inside the four corners of their cla.s.sroom. But they all ended up spending almost more than half of their time outside of the school.
Rather than studying just like what a typical student does, their group was doing something else.
Instead of committing themselves to their regular training, just like what they used to do before; their group unknowingly ended up going out of the school more often than usual to venture different places
It was only at this time that Mu Lingxi's group was reminded about the fact that they were still a student of Magus Academia and there were a.s.sessments that they still have to worry by the end of the school's term
But even though their group was late to realize about it, they were still confident that they would perform well in the upcoming a.s.sessment.
It was not because they were being conceited, nor they were full of themselves.
It was all because they knew that everything that they had experienced outside from all the missions and adventures that they had gone so far was as good as training themselves indoors.
In fact, they even thought that being able to put their abilities to practical use was a better way to hone their magic skills.
Compared to the conventional way of learning the spells through reading the books and trying it out to a specific target that was prepared beforehand.
"I believe that most of you were thinking about scoring better this year and jumping into the next realm next year. So I hope that you will all do your best to perform well in the upcoming a.s.sessment. Do not disappoint me."
Teacher Nana said it most especially to those students that had been in the Red Realm for a long time now.
While some were able to jump into another magic realm for around one or two years of effort, there was still a handful of them that were not able to take a leap to the next realm no matter how hard they tried to.
Teacher Nana's last words were intended for those less talented individuals.
