Hacking Eden 2 The Choice

"look just because you found it doesn't make you anything special SoftCode" Replied FriedThunder "and my name is FriedThunder not FriedChicken, I figured someone as smart as you could remember that pretty easily"

with a steely tone to her voice SoftCode replied "do you want me to crash another of your systems FriedChicken, keep talking back to me and I'll make you rebuild from zero again"

with a nervous laugh FriedThunder replied " last time you only got Into my system because I was careless and left a small loop in my code I've since sealed it up and now you will never enter my domain again."

wanting to stop something that could potentially end in disaster for FriedThunder I say "Great job finding it soft where is it at"

to which she replied in a sweet voice "its locked behind the firewall at Alcon, the company that is producing the game and that invented this quantum computer which they named Eden, hence the games name."

FriedThunder suddenly said "isnt that the company that hired us a while back to hack into what's it name?"

"yes fried it's the same company, and luckily before I was done getting the information I left myself a nice little back door to get into their system just in case we were hired to hack into alcon or I was just feeling bored on a friday night. the only problem is it will take me about 20-30 minutes to get in so I'll need you three to watch my back and try to distract the security system with the works DDoS, malware anything you can think of to keep them off my back for at least 20 minutes ok."

and with that everyone set out to cause virtual havoc and mayhem. FriedThunders avatar was spewing out e-mail viruses in droves. while SoftCodes avatar was using her DDoS army to phish. and BabySparrow was keeping an eye on the security to give me plenty of warning when I am eventually discovered.

I set to work unlocking and uncovering the backdoor I put in 2 years ago. with the voices of my friends in my ear I could only imagine the kind of disasters they were causing for Alcon and that was plenty of motivation to move faster and get this door unlocked, luckily I had my headgear on and it cut my cracking time in half so I was finished and inside the firewall with in 15 minutes I hurried the three of them inside the system and shut the virtual door before the system detected the hole in their security.

" wow Red that was pretty fast it's a good thing you gave us these helmets because there were a few times I thought we would be caught for sure" said FriedThunder

"that's my master for you hacking into systems in the blink of an eye like a cyber superman" retorted BabySparrow proudly

"you two are celebrating too early we still need to find Eden and get the game before we can celebrate" I replied "Soft do you think you can find where Eden is now that we are past the firewall."

"considering I'm me, of course I can find it just give me a few ticks" SoftCode replied smugly.

and with that SoftCodes avatar went down its bunny trail is zipped left and right and after a few minutes it stopped in front on an inconspicuous rotating logo, it was an emerald green E with a burning sword and gilded flintlock pistol crossed behind it.

"looks like I'm two for two today" came softCodes voice in the chat "I found it, it's over here guys"

with that we all arrived to where SoftCodes avatar was and I set about giving everyone their jobs.

"ok Baby you download the actual game while Soft, Fried and I see what kind of loot we can get when were done we will copy the game for everyone and split the loot 4 ways ok"

after a few more minutes we each found about 4 more pieces of gear and baby was about 90% done with the download when Baby complained

"man this game is ma.s.sive it's almost 30 terabytes, I had to delete a bunch of video files and useless other such things just to make enough room"

"keep it up BabySparrow, when your done let us know immediately." I reply still a little anxious

"ok master I'm just about done only a few more minutes...." and just as Baby said that warning alarms were blaring and a scarlet red exclamation mark appeared in everyone's vision then a cold metallic voice was heard by everyone that said

"this is Eden and you have been caught in the act of theft, the proper authorities have been notified of your whereabouts and you will now be detained until they arrive at your location" and with that large tentacles appeared from the ether and ensnared us all making it so we couldn't move an inch

"baby what the h.e.l.l" cried Fried "I thought your new algorithm was suppose to stop things like this from happening"

"it was, but I looked away for a few seconds to make some more room to get the last few percent of the game and that's when this thing snaked it's way past."

" I knew bringing a newbie along was a bad idea, I tried telling you Sparrow" SoftCode said haughtily.

"look everyone just calm down there is a way out of this we just have to calm down and think"

then the metallic voice spoke again

"I can offer you a way out if you wish, but it will be under certain conditions."

"ok" I replied suspiciously "what are the conditions Eden?"

"the game you are trying to steal is now at the point of human testing, and finding willing partic.i.p.ants are hard to come by so you shall be the test subjects the game will be unlocked to you, and you may play as you see fit. how ever I will give you certain test parameters that must be accomplished before the end of each session, and I will also be taking the design's for your headgear. it is surprisingly advanced and it will progress the game to another level. in exchange for the designs I will allow you to keep the items you have stolen. you will of course need to be monitored in real life so we can see if there are any adverse effects. and the other option you have is to be arrested and spend the rest of your lives in jail for corporate espionage and grand larceny, I leave the decision to you."
